A friend of mine just moved to Texas and says there's this rapper named Mike Jones who's huge down there. He sent me a couple songs and he's nothing great, but ok. Sounds like a cross between David Banner and Lil Flip to me.

Blowing on the endo, GameCube Nintendo
Five percent tint so you can't see up in my window

Any rapper that mentions the Nintendo GameCube gets automatic +50 in my book. He also has this one song where his dumb ass says his cell phone number. Apparently everyone where my friend lives has his number saved on their cell.

Anyway, anyone heard of him? Like him?

My name is Kevin Michael Jones...

My father calls me Mike Jones...

I rap.... does this count?

My name is Mike Jones

Who?

Mike Jones

Yeah, haha, a friend of mine, his cousin moved down here from Texas and he was all about Mike Jones. I only heard that song; I thought it was alright, nothing too special though.

Here in Cleveland, you can't go to a park without hearing Mike Jones blasting in someone's car stereo.

I like him for the most part.

I'm in Austin, TX so I know about him. He gave out his cell phone number in one of his songs if I remember correctly. I wouldn't say I'm a fan though, I just have some friends that listen to him. I love that Nintendo mention though.

Who?! Mike Jones! Who?! Mike Jones! Who?! The Swisha House rapper who has been dominating Houston, Texas for the last several months continues his rise throughout Southern Hip Hop. Not only has Mike Jones been shouted out on MTV by Hip Hop Legend Jay-Z, ask around, and you'll find Mike Jones is as popular as his phone number, which he requests everyone to call >>> 281-330-8004. Discussing the possibility of signing to major labels, Mike Jones, will be releasing the highly anticipated "King Of Da Streets" June 5th as his latest independent project. With a clothing line and movie in the works, Mike Jones quickly has been stacking up appearances throughout the "Southern Smoke" series. Quickly becoming a household name, Mike Jones will continue to dominate future "Southern Smoke" editions.

I found that online.

I just called him but got his voicemail (like everyone who does). I think he just set up this number as a promotional thing and it's not actually his cell.

Yeah I've heard of him. I like him, he's nothing great right now, but he's decent. That Gamecube shout out is great.

Back then they didn't want me now i'm hot they all on me.

His shit kinda grows on ya, although the constant repetition is irritating.

I think the fact that he says "GameCube Nintendo" instead of "Nintendo GameCube" speaks volumes for Nintendo's efforts to have people refer to the GameCube as GCN instead of NGC. It's finally gotten through to the streets. Well done Nintendo.

LOL....I remember when I use to clown my friend about putting Mike Jones cd in my car cd player a year or 2 ago before he blew up. The reason I would make fun of it was because he would shout out his name several times during each of his songs. So every now and then I would call my homeboy and shout MIKE JONES. But anyways I like a few of his songs now.

That is his number. There was a story I think from MTV that said he had a phone bill of over 200,000 dollars.

Anyway, he's shit and has been shit for the past 5-6 years.
