I saw the comic made from this vid in another thread. It's sad.
I gotta admit, when I read the thread title of the linked page, and saw the first post (from a mod, no less!), I thought it was supposed to be one of those funny threads.
But then I read the op, and then the rest of the thread was like a descent into a bizarro abyss, and not in a good way. Then I checked the date assuming it was a real old thread and attitudes about this stuff was a bit different years ago. But no, it was 2013.

I guess one way to look at it is that we've come a long way in a year on male rape awareness, but that's a bit of a stretch...hard to argue it wouldn't have played out much the same this year free of the context of the video we all just watched.

I see it mostly in threads about people dying because if electrocuted it's easy to say it's shocking or something.

This is true. However I have worked with women that laugh at the idea that men can be raped. Not sure how it came up but I was pretty surprised.

I know it's traumatic for the guy in that link but it's just so bizarre and random. So people don't really know how to handle it which makes it even worse for the guy.
Maybe guys just aren't that mature about sex in general. I mean, the first thing frat boys do to each other when someone passes out at a party is borderline sexual assault. And then laugh at the victim when he's horrified at waking up to the sight of balls on his forehead.
I know a woman who was sexually assaulted more than once who still jokes about rape. People are weird.
