Nintendo Downloads - April 2014

Excited for Metroid, Golden Sun, F-Zero, and Shovel Knight this month. Nice to see so many new games coming to my Wii U.

Still thinking about Mario 3 and Advance Wars. I will get them just not right away.

It'll be cool to play Metroid Fusion again. I haven't played it since it originally came out, and all I had was an old school, no backlight GBA. I was hunched over a lamp the entire time trying to play it, lol.

I've got it on my Ambassador 3DS now, so I don't need to buy it again, but I too had played it on an unlit GBA. I never finished it though, because my GBA with the game inside was stolen. :(

I bought a new GBA (SP) after that, but couldn't bring myself to replace the cartridge too...

I knew it. that sucks. I was planning to get it and Pocket football this month. hopefully it will be delayed to next week and not deleted

According to the official trailer description, it's coming out on April 17th instead.

thank you.
this weekend I would have liked to play it because I'm alone at home. APrile 17th is not working for me, right now (especially if Calciobit will be released the same day)

The Wonderfull 101 got a perm price drop in US Wii U eShop - it's $34.99 now
Sing party also got the same treatment, it's currently at $19.99

And I noticed there's Batman Blackgate MiiVerse.

I'm guessing Pocket Football will be £14.99.
It could've easily released as a retail game here if NOE had been a bit more ambitious and held it back until the World Cup begins.

Any other retail games released exclusively on the eShop in Europe? How were they priced?
PW5 was £19.99 wasn't it?

The Wonderful 101 is 29.99, Game and Wario is 29.99 and Ninja Gaiden 3 is 29.99 on the eshop

And Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate is out now

Is the new Yoshi puzzle supposed to be a downloaded update? Cause I still don't have it and I checked the eshop but no updates.

average price: ¥4.800

4939 yens since today in japan (tax goes from 5% to 8%, will rise to 10% in Oct 2015 because of the billions loss of fukushima daichi)

In my jJapanese Wii u, there's sadly never a bargain . USA has good luck.

Got Darksiders 2 yesterday and I just played a little bit. Liking it so far and for me it runs fine. Also it is fitting nicely in my library.

Tried the Art of Balance demo and enjoyed that which is on sale so will probably get that, Mutant Mudds and Super Mario Wolrd.

about Pocket football league...let's just say that "meaty" could be the right word in terms of contents...!!!

I like meaty.

Still nothing on its price, come on Nintendo. Spill the beans.

Pretty excited about GBA hitting tomorrow. Metroid Fusion is almost as fun as Super Metroid to speedrun. The controls are certainly a little improved, but I admit to having no knowledge of any Fusion sequence breaking.

Edit: Doesn't seem to be many. This is what Wikitroid says on Fusion.

Using quick manuevers, Wall Jumps and Shinesparks, numerous Energy, Missile and Power Bomb Tanks can be obtained without the supposedly required equipment.

There is a secret conversation that can be watched by using a series of tricky Shinesparks in Sector 4. This would normally skip Diffusion Missiles, had the developers not locked the door to the Main Deck.

What? There's nothing TO speedrun. The entire game is on a hand-holding, text-heavy, single directional path that you are not allowed to deviate from.

Lack of sequence breaking doesn't stop it being fun to DO. I love how the game plays and controls and how you can be skilly at things.

So is this football game the same one that was released in Japan in 2012?
Certainly looks that way - is there any impressions from Japan on this game?

Parity Bit Website

Yes it is. It was called Calciobit in Japan, Pocket Football League oversea.
It's a football manager with 8-bit graphics, single player mode, multiplayer (via local, online and streetpass) modes, touch controls, and so on. It seems really deep, from what I've seen so far.

These Wii U GBA games will be the first to allow crossbuy when the 3DS eventually gets them right? Or will Nintendo continue to fuck their userbase? These are questions that demand answers.

The crossbuy for VC titles should really be a firm fact, indeed.
As GC games on the Wii U VC too, honestly.

I really think that the VC is the worst part of Nintendo nowadays, even worst than other major issues they are offering to their costumers

Some must give up hope on gba on 3ds. It won't happen.
Probably on the next handheld.

Did Darksiders drop in price? I was always curious about that game, but never $60 curious.

Yeah, I think the latter is the safe bet.

(Sidebar rant: I'd like to believe it was Nintendo's greed and inability to effectively communicate with their audience that ultimately put them in the position they're in today. Closing of the NSider forums a while back seemed to be a good indicator of where they were headed (a brick wall between them and their fan base), and they don't seem poised to change direction.)

I just want to see what these GBA games look on a TV. I have a Game Boy Player with S-Video. Fusion looks okay on it but I wouldn't expect the Wii U to entirely eschew the inherent fuzziness of GBA games.

Warioware is my most looked forward to GBA re-release. I played the shit out of that game back in the day, it's one that I really missed when I had to sell my GBA and it's games. I might get it and Game & Wario at the same time since that just dropped in price.

Just hit me, you think we might see WarioWare Twisted get a re-release, considering the GamePad is capable of motion controls?

Apparently you can switch between normal mode and smooth mode.
Both look surprisingly good. Imo

I got that info from the WiiU games in 2014 thread
