Here's a better picture of the family room. I need to take pictures of the loft space as well.
We have bought a larger area rug for the space now that our little one is on the move...
Pure, what's the point of all that equipment? I assume you are into photography and editing. But that seems like a lot of equipment.
Anyways it looks very awesome.
Added some LED's I think it looks great! Im in college, so mine setup is not as good as most here, but I think its pretty efficient. Recommendations welcome.

Really like your setup! To be honest, I'm even thinking of copying it for my small living room (TV on the right, computer next to it from the left and the couch in front of the TV.
May I ask how deep your desk is? Looks like ~60cm / 24inch to me, just a bit more than your case.
Also, why are there 4 doors in your room?

Thanks! I like it a lot. Don't have a tape measure around, but the desk is about 28- 30 inches tall.
I have a door for the entrance to my room, my bathroom, closet and balcony.
I'm a student so its still a work in progress, any advice would be great

This is nice. Except for the TV above the fireplace making everyone crane their necks to watch TV.
That's just bad ergonomics man.

Do you dabble in photography? That looks straight out of an IKEA catalog.

This is awesome, love the painting on the wall.
That looks really great. You guys have good taste.
I dont about you guys, but I would be really annoyed if I couldnt watch my tv from a center position.

Final setup. I got the Elite Screens Manual 120" pull down screen. It is paired with the Viewsonic PJD7820HD. It's the cheapest 1080p projector on the market at $700. It can put out a whopping 3,000+lumens at max. I have it set on Economic mode to make the bulb last longer.
I love how each player has their own 60" screen.
Unfortunately I noticed in setting it up for pictures I have the screen projecting too low. It's fixed now.
Could you please share the wallpaper? That is adorable.
Meh, it's not as extreme as it looks. We have 9 foot ceilings and a smaller mantle, so the TV is not as high as you think. We also bought a nice comfy couch for the space.
I do not have to strain my neck to watch anything on this plasma. It also helps that it's a Sanus articulating wall mount for when I want to game or watch movie by myself or with the wife. The way it is set up now, I can view content wherever I am at on the main floor (since it's a open concept layout). It also works out well when I have people over to watch sports.
I get people reserves on mounting it over the fireplace. Our mantle is not high, nor is it big. I've seen terrible placement of sets above the mantle. Heck my wife's uncle has his over his fireplace. The problem? Well it's a big mantle and low ceilings. He might has well have mounted it on the ceiling.
I'll take a picture sometime of what it looks like from the seating position when I move the set.
Edited for smaller pics
Where else would you put it?
What's the specs on the Vaio laptop? I've been looking for a good mid range gaming laptop than I can program with also..
What's the mouse mat, something Razer?
Is it suggested that people use mouse pads? I've found one that is pretty huge and for £7 seems good. Any thoughts on it?

I wish!
Though it probably wouldn't be too hard to set something up to map MIDI input to X-input. I should try it sometime.
Most of our furniture is from Urban Barn. We shopped around, and we always ended up coming back there. We just stuck with it.
Here's the link to the painting
Ah well, no big deal - it's a nice space still!
I'm also not a fan of tv above the fireplace. TV should be the same level as your head when sitting on the couch. I would have put it against the wall where the sofa is. You lose space to put the two arm chairs but I say it's worth the trade off.
Sorry man, I'm biting your style. I hope that painting is in stock at the Mississauga location.
Got a new desk! And instantly cut the legs off. Apartment is finally shaping up.

I like the setup, a lot. It's ideal if you have a ton of physical media. Characters on doors look tacky though. But if you like it, go for it!
It's well executed for what it is. If you wanted a FF theme that would be the way to do it.Well I really want a FF theme for my Game Center, it's my favorite series. I could put the standard Amano Artwork for all the games down the sides instead, but with how often they release a FF game I'd have to redo the doors every year or so to fit them all on there. Still just in the planning stage. We'll see what happens
Weren't you in reddit/minimalism?
Haha yea I was, checked this thread for the first time in a couple weeks and was surprised to see my apartment.
Now has new speakers and some other goodies, waiting for 4k to mainstream to sell the 30-20 setup.
If I were you, I'd probably get a larger monitor if you could, but overall I'd love to have a setup like that.
Just bought a new QNIX 27" 1440p monitor. Its incredible. Thanks!
