Not sure if mentioned and kind of a tangent, but since the games are on the vita store it kinda fits here....

Flying hamster hd and sunflowers are free on iOS store, if anyones been interested in checking those out, but haven't bought yet.

I want them on the Vita argh (sale)

So I bit the bullet on Ragnarok Odyssey Ace (Vita version). I'm enjoying it so far, although I'm too early in to try out the extra content.

Here's some changes I noticed:

Visuals
-Everything looks sharper and more colorful somehow. I have no idea why. I did notice that several shops have more details added to them.
-The game still runs at native res, 30fps in single player.
-Lots of small cosmetic changes to the attacks of certain classes.

Story/Presentation
-I don't think the vanilla version did this, but Ace gives you tutorials on everything. Card equipping, expanding, refining, the works. They also give you tips on the loading screens.

Gameplay
-Four types of control schemes. Two use the standard triangle/circle for attacking while the other two use square/triangle.
-Potions can only be used with the touch screen. No idea what Select does now.
-Classes can no longer charge their heavy attacks. The first ACE skill you receive basically replaces that function (with minor differences, e.g. the Sword Warrior's Magnum Break skill will launch enemies as opposed to sending them across the room, and only seems to have one charge level).
-ACE skills can be triggered using the touch screen or pressing L and square/triangle/circle/x at the same time.
-Hunters seem to do more damage from longer ranges (I can be farther away without seeing '1's constantly popping up with each shot.
-None of the classes seem to have new moves outside of their ACE skills.

As I get farther, I'll hopefully get more ACE skills to mix things up a bit. I've been reading that the drop rates are lower in this, so maybe I'll finally be able to get an epic-tier weapon in this.

EDIT: Megaton. You can contact the Blacksmith and Clothing shops while in the Tavern.

We demand Screenshots!! haha

SteamWorld Dig, what a nice but short game , i agree with most comments saying that the game ends just when started to be interesting. I hope the will be a secuel , that ending...

Dance with PS Vita Commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJT8Zym-g-k

I couldn't help but notice that the man in orange is struggling to keep up with choreography.

The scenario is a giant PSVita *.*
I like it

And at first, when the girl switchs on her Vita and Miku appears behind her... I was the only one that thought "Persona!"? lol

Japan sure loves putting western people in their ads. Are there a lot of foreigners in Japan or something?

I think I need to make my US PSN account asap. I want to play those SMT games they're uploading lately and I don't know when they'll appear on PSN. Can you like 2+ accounts on PS4 like you can in the PS3? I kinda want to know it because I may purchase more stuff outside some missing PS Classics (since € to $ conversion makes things cheaper).

Wasn't sure where to ask this and got told here was the best bet as there are a lot of vita owners in this thread.

Basically I want to take a video I made around to a friends house later and I can't find a spare flash drive so I was wondering if there was a way I could put the video on the vita and then when I get to his, plug it into his ps3 and watch the video on his TV.

I never connected my Vita to the PS3 but it should be possible I think.
To use the content manager both the PS3 and Vita probably have to be logged into the same account though and I don't know exactly which formats the PS3 supports. MP4 should work.

You can get the video from the PC to the Vita using the content manager and CMA programm from Sony.

I have been trying to use content manager on my PC to get the video file onto my Vita, however I am having no joy. I am using MKV2Vob to try and convert the video file to a format the Vita will recognise and having no success. One of the various encodes of the same video file I did showed up in the Vitas content manager but would not transfer to the Vita as the Vita could not play the file back so that didn't work.

unnecessarily censored, will probably be a quiet launch.

i can't support this game, i'll be Re;Birth if it's fully intact.

People that don't by games because they don't have Japanese voices, other that don't buy games because they are censored etc, I will never understand this way to do, it's totally masochistic, do you understand that most of these games struggles to come here, those changes are necessary because it's just with them that they can arrive here, the wide public want to understand what a character says, most of the people don't want certain images and so on.
If you don't buy these kind of games with censor or without Japanese voices etc the result won't be that the next game will come here uncensored or with Japanese voices, but that it will remain in Japan.

I agree that there was a questionable choice of images to be censored in monster Monpiece, but if the publisher decided that the uncensored game was not appropriate for its audience you should only be thankful that they localize the game with just few aesthetic cuts that don't affect gameplay.

I'm sorry gaf. $10 was too cheap for me to resist.

They gave me a wristband or something too lol. Think they give it to the first 10 people who buy one of the games on the promotion

I actually didn't think it was as terrible as everyone made it out to be. Sure, it's kinda ugly and the campaign is non-existent, but Hostiles has nice replay value and the online was solid. Not sure if anyone's still playing though.

I have to agree, it isn't amazing or anything, but it does something I've wanted other CoD's to do; have a large focus on the online play (a thing that more or less takes center-stage in most CoD's anyway). Granted, the online here isn't as good as, say, Black Ops 1 (which this game is largely based off of) but its more than good enough to offer some fun multiplayer (there still is a sizable amount of people on the servers). The game interestingly is also native res and (I might be wrong here) a almost consistent 60FPS, so even if it doesn't look great, at least it runs good. Either way for 10 bucks its not nearly as bad as it was at 50 bucks (the price was a big factor of why it was critically pained too; almost all reviewers said the online was fun but the game offered very little content to justify the 50$ price tag).

That being said, the game is far from the best shooter on Vita, and with Unit 13 being free as of now for PS+ members in the US and Killzone going on sale every once and a while (like how it was only 9 bucks during the 14 for 14 sale in January), it might just be best to ignore this game. I got it anyway (as somewhat enjoyed the COD mulitplayer from Black Ops and the game coming with a free PSP COD game), but the point still stands :).

Muramasa rebirth is pretty cool, except for all the fucking BACKTRACKING.

Other than that, it's pretty fun.

Having some bronze mirrors can help, as they teleport you to the last shrine where you saved. It's a pity that you can only warp between shrines after you beat the game, tho.

Also, don't forget to check those DLCs when you're done with Momo and Kisuke!

It is kind of amazing that several friends of mine are still playing DBZ Battle of Z almost everyday. I think that the online community is a lot stronger than KZ Mercenary.

Also, Destiny of Spirits is the new TOM Blitz.

Hmm yeah, I should definitely use those bronze mirrors more, but other than that I'm really enjoying the game. The regular enemy encounters can be pretty mashy and whatever, but the bosses are honestly pretty well-designed and fun to fight, on chaos anyway. I guess it'll be mashier in legend.

There's just too many useless rooms that's just there for you to walk through.

My PSN Plus sub ran out a few days ago. Damn it I knew I should have got more. Only paid £19 for the whole year.

Also, I'm looking to get one super pervy, super japanese game, but I can't decide between deception 4, conception 2 or demon's gaze.

Kinda leaning towards conception but I'll wait and see if the gameplay is actually competent. :P

I used handbrake and it was fairly easy to get Vita compatible files. Try it, it's free.

Having just discovered that Atelier Rorona had a Vita port in Japan a few months ago, I just have to ask : what are the chances of seeing the game localized ?
Seeing that the two other ports / sequels have been released in the US I would tend to keep my hopes up, what do you think ?

My childhood crush... I almost became a schoolmate of hers but then I decided to take an Engineering school. Now I'm a S Ronan's fan because of Steam.

Highly likely for a US / EU release because of Based Tecmo Koei. I will join you in tears if it won't get localized.

Only one of those games are "super pervy" and that game is conception. Check out the demo.

Deception 4 is a strategy game where you lay traps to kill your enemy.

Demon gaze is a first person dungeon crawler.

I just started Virtue's Last Reward and the game is set on easy by default without me doing anything, is that supposed to happen? Because of that I got the silver file at the end of the tutorial. It seems weird.

RIP 2+2=5

Yeah, I'll second Console Saga as a reasonable little platformer for the price. Main character is effectively a GameBoy crossed with Bionic Commando, equipped with a grapple beam and an upgradable machine gun as he collects cartridges and bits of code. Lots of nice nods to retro games.

Pretty tough getting used to the swing mechanic but when you get going it's like the freedom in worms rope matches!

I just wish in the random level generator especially that when you lose your lives and retry a level it would be instant...or at least much faster and not re-generate the level. Luckily the usual levels don't take as long and it's not too long a wait but I'm dying a lot :P

replying to a dead man but whatever, I should be thankful that they censored the game? Oh yeah, i'm so thankful that IFI decided for me what is acceptable and what isn't.

If the game bombs and no others get brought over? Thats a risk i'm willing to take. Buying this game (in)directly supports censorship and i refuse to buy it out of principle.

Are you playing the EU version? Seems like it starts on Easy instead of Hard, and people have to change the difficulty (dunno if it automatically changes to Hard after the elevator) and then replay that part again.

I'm guessing this is where it started, it gets worse from there.

I mean, it was pretty obvious that line of conversation was going to get him banned.

D:

Hopefully he'll be back in a month. I'm going to fill my ignore list a little more using that thread.

I tend to stop answering those kind of threads whenever I get a fanboy alert. I don't want to be banned and it's imposible to convince then since... well, they're fanboys.

Yeah, it's the european version. It definitely looked like a bug since it clearly tells you that you can lower the difficulty to easy during the tutorial.
If I can replay it later on hard then it's fine. Thanks.

Ya, thread's a great way to figure out who to ignore :lol

I sympathize with 2+2=5 though, the Vita list of confirmed releases is legit ridiculous. I know nothing about the 3DS schedule but the Vita one is very wallet threatening.

When I bought my Vita for Persona, I was under the impression it had no games, and I wouldn't have to worry about many future releases.

Dear god, was I wrong- my Vita may just end up beating out all of my consoles in playtime this year at this rate.
