They actually designed digimon for every possible combination of Season 2 main character Digimon and every Digi-egg/Digimental. That flower Digi-Egg corresponds to Ken's Crest of Kindness, and even Wormmon has armor Digivolutions for every egg. Many of these different forms cameo a lot across Season 3 and especially Season 4. They also get really, really weird.

Not sure about season 5, but up to season 4 (frontiers) it was consistently good, with 3 being the best looking back without nostalgia (according to fanbase)
What sucks is when looking at the season airings

you can clearly see both season 5 and 6 were meant to try to be reboots

I hope that at least one of the newcomer(s) we get tomorrow is from a new franchise. Padding existing franchises with characters like Ridley, Palutena, or Chrom is great but there's nothing like getting a completely fresh character from something Smash hasn't used before. Frankly, that's one of the reasons I want Mii - it's something new and fresh for the character roster, even if some people think they're generic or whatnot.

I hope so. Regular Directs are good for single-Newcomer announcements, but this Direct is special. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be a little disappointed if we only got one Newcomer.
Unless it was Wonder Red, non-Other M Ridley, or Rhythm Monkey. They count as five Newcomer-points each in my book.

But this is about the possibility of Digimon in Smash. Digimon is a Namco-Bandai series. It's just as feasible to talk about them than it is talking about Shulk or Snake or Cloud or Son Goku.

Cave Story+ is on Steam, too, for what that's worth.
Also the only good version of Cave Story is the original which was only on PC/PSP so...

Well I was off.
Played the 3ds version, still not past Hell. That place is ridiculous, and 5 bosses at the end (saving your missiles too to exploit glitch to near-1hko last boss) is annoying.
Dont really like charge shot, will go for the snake next time
Such a great series.
But that sucks, maybe he could get in considering an updated version with updated music, sprites, etc. was on WiiWae and was one of the best indies on that service
