Also, I'm looking to get one super pervy, super japanese game, but I can't decide between deception 4, conception 2 or demon's gaze.

I'm one of those weirdos that like exclusives. Deception = PS3/VITA, Conception = 3DS/VITA, Demon's Gaze = VITA. I'd go for Gaze, and it has neat NISA Disgaea DLC.
But for a super pervy title your best bet is the upcoming Akiba's Trip (monster monpiece aside, which I wouldn't recommend)

htol#niq got a trailer but no gameplay in sight, zzz.

Okay I'm hoping one of you guys can help me!

I have been trying for two weeks now (spend 3 hours today alone >_>) trying to download Katamri Damacy for my PS3.

I keep getting the 14% install is corrupted error (80029564). I've tried using a wired connection, using safe mode to rebuild database, tried dl on another day at a different time.

I contacted sony and they keep telling me to rebuild the database but it keeps not helping.

Can anyone help?

How big is your HDD?
How much free space on your HDD?
How big is the download?

I have to agree, it isn't amazing or anything, but it does something I've wanted other CoD's to do; have a large focus on the online play (a thing that more or less takes center-stage in most CoD's anyway). Granted, the online here isn't as good as, say, Black Ops 1 (which this game is largely based off of) but its more than good enough to offer some fun multiplayer (there still is a sizable amount of people on the servers). The game interestingly is also native res and (I might be wrong here) a almost consistent 60FPS, so even if it doesn't look great, at least it runs good. Either way for 10 bucks its not nearly as bad as it was at 50 bucks (the price was a big factor of why it was critically pained too; almost all reviewers said the online was fun but the game offered very little content to justify the 50$ price tag).

That being said, the game is far from the best shooter on Vita, and with Unit 13 being free as of now for PS+ members in the US and Killzone going on sale every once and a while (like how it was only 9 bucks during the 14 for 14 sale in January), it might just be best to ignore this game. I got it anyway (as somewhat enjoyed the COD mulitplayer from Black Ops and the game coming with a free PSP COD game), but the point still stands :).

Most people just like to bash it because it is a) a CoD game, b) a Vita game and c) there were high hopes of it being a system seller. They look at the scores of the game 'journalists' and take it for granted. These 'journalists' have done nothing except bashing the Vita for months when CoD released.
Not saying it is great, but it isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Mediocre describes it better and most people who actually played it would agree. Even though it was overpriced as hell and I normally only play CoD for the singleplayer, I don't regret my day 1 purchase.

Pretty sure it runs at 30fps though.

It is kind of amazing that several friends of mine are still playing DBZ Battle of Z almost everyday. I think that the online community is a lot stronger than KZ Mercenary.

Also, Destiny of Spirits is the new TOM Blitz.

I miss the days of Treasure Park.

Are you playing the EU version? Seems like it starts on Easy instead of Hard, and people have to change the difficulty (dunno if it automatically changes to Hard after the elevator) and then replay that part again.

Played the EU version and can't remember having to change the difficulty. Got platinum so I played it on hard.

Having just discovered that Atelier Rorona had a Vita port in Japan a few months ago, I just have to ask : what are the chances of seeing the game localized ?
Seeing that the two other ports / sequels have been released in the US I would tend to keep my hopes up, what do you think ?

Maybe? Unlike MooMoo and Totori, Roronoa received a full remake. I can see it being skipped if there were major changes to the script that would require a new localization.

Mass Effect Trilogy $30 on Amazon. I'd get it if I hadn't already played them. This set is the only way to obtain a physical copy of ME1 for PS3

Kinda leaning towards conception but I'll wait and see if the gameplay is actually competent. :P

If the pervy stuff is the most important part I'd probably go with Conception or wait for Akiba's Trip 2 or Monster Monpiece :P

I'm amazed at how many Japanese games are getting a western release on the Vita.

It makes me really want to get a Vita now. I'm waiting probably next month for the Borderlands 2 bundle with the slim. Thinking about selling my 360 to get it.

Also I don't care about dat OLED.

Me too maybe this is Shahid great blessing?

But that's Mass Effect 2

I disagree with your opinion, but respect it nonetheless- ME2 is still one hell of a game. I personally liked the emphasis on exploration and world-building on the first to the much tighter shooting of the second, but can see why people would prefer it. Shame all that potential ends up going to waste in the end.

To be fair my opinion my be a bit skewed because I played ME2 before 1. Got the PS3 version before the first one was out. When I finally did play ME1 I didn't like the combat much. The Citadel in ME1 is awesome though. I enjoyed ME2 story more tbh. Sure most of it was filler but I enjoyed it

What you got against 1?
Actually even a lot more than this:
Mass Effect 1

It's garbage in more ways than most games even have ways.

*worst side quest rewards in any RPG ever (none! not even a shitty "congrats" message for completing quests)
*worst use of minigames in any RPG ever (the same stupid four-face-button QTE for basically every object interaction in the game, lockpicking, hacking, salvaging, surveying etc pp, everything)
*horrendous enemy AI
*horrendous friendly AI
*completely busted economy
*level-scaled loot only; killing a story boss has the same chance of yielding a useful item as opening a random shoe box
*all dat Mako garbage (hilarious physics, glitched and busted Mako combat, extensive use as garbage padding even on story planets)
*no evidence of human involvment in off-story planet layouts
*excessive reuse of a grand total of three "dungeons" for every goddamn cave, building or ship in the entire universe.
*atrocious inventory (highlight: converting weapon attachments to omnigel)
*busted, finicky cover system
*bad controls -- and it doesn't even have the customary control layout display in game ffs
*technical amateur hour total:
**picking working in camera space instead of character space. No teammate guy behind me I don't want to talk now I just want to open that goddamn door right in front of my face.
**audio/animation skips on the fucking load screen loop
...
...

One of these days I'll write a detailed post about this. Though fitting the complete rundown of Mass Effect's 36 chambers of suck into the character limit will be a challenge. It's a whole universe full of shit mountains. One of these days...

I haven't done this in years, but just because of how this was received, I was making myself finish it, see the end, "wait until it becomes good" and all that.

Seriously, Kermode gambit. I don't see how you can actually like playing ME1. The idea is likeable. The execution? Hell no.

But there's something else I can recommend: play until Citadel, do everything there, then stop. Pretend the game was never finished. Because it wasn't.

*sigh* I'm almost tempted to buy this just because it looks different to the PAL version I have. Does anybody why they're different?

I think the PAL version might be cardboard while the NA version is a steelbook. Go check for me what the PAL version is made out of please lol

Yeah this is the version I have:

Strange that the steelbook wouldn't be released here. Oh well. I'll probably give in and buy it anyway.

I always hate when this gets done- I think the Resistance Collection is the same way. Does anyone have the Steelbook, and how does it feel to take the discs out? I really like most of my Steelbook cases, but my ME3 360 case felt like I was going to snap the disc trying to get it out.

Me too maybe this is Shahid great blessing?

i doubt shahid has had anything to do with japanese games.

companies like xseed, tecmo koei, akysys, etc have always released niche games on all sorts of platforms.

but it really is amazing that they would support the Vita in the west.

Tsk tsk tsk.

Na. Check an unboxing video - it's really kind of crummy. I'd definitely have preferred the PAL release's three normal PS3 G2 cases in a slipcase.
