I really feel like Pac Man would be a weird character... am I alone in that?
I know Game 'n' Watch kind of sets a precedent for that sort of a character, but I still feel like Pac Man is too limited and might work better as an assist trophy...

You fight Palutena and she appears to have plenty of moveset potential, and pit spends the entire game defeating gods.

I forgot all about that part when I played it last year.
She's all about the hometown though.
NOA even had to censor her in the west.
Well... I dunno. I find that Wii Fit Trainer, Zelda, Rosalina and Peach, we already got quite a bit of Life already. But what about Hometown?
Rosalina.
They just hang out.
Or some of the characters are actually so strong fighting them is an actual option.

Oddly phrased. My bad. I meant like, take and handful of games at random and chances are any one smash has more content (as far as unlockables) than all of them combined.

I predict a July/August worldwide release date; the 3DS version will be delayed to December. Both still release this year. There will be at least one new unexpected character reveal today.

Im gonna change my newcomer prediction. If we only get one newcomer, my bets on Mii. Mii is basically a lock for the game, and if they have any customization options, a direct would doubtless be the best way to explain and showcase them. Plus, we've seen tons of Mii stuff lately, so it wouldn't be completely out of the blue like someone like Pacman.

We're probably going to get 2 trailers - one at the start, one at the end. I imagine the Miis are gonna be the opener, because they're new and might need some explanation.
The second trailer is likely gonna happen as closer, and either going to be a straight forward newcomer (e.g. Palutena), or a returning character that is trailer-worthy; in particular Snake or Mewtwo.

Mii might sound like a lot of fun to people, and maybe I'll even love it if/when it's announced... but right now, to me personally, it sounds like the most boring character idea since Wii Fit Trainer (which also seemed bonkers to me...)

Come on guys, either one would be great! Although, a female FE rep would be cool too, since we haven't had one yet. And she'd be one of the only women in the game who doesn't a) fight with a frying pan (I guess Peach belongs in the kitchen?...) or b) wear skintight clothing (ZSS and Wii Fit Trainer).

If Nintendo can get this game out by Summer, then I think they'll have some pretty decent momentum for the year after MK8. They can't afford to keep going x amount of months without a big release.
Oh god, not this again....launch window leads me to believe it DEFINITELY will not be summer. If anything, they'll have a winter 2014 launch window, which gives them the option of delaying into early 2015.
