Best pokemon gets the limelight! Though I could definitely see a Pokeball Sylveon. He's basically the mascot of one of the biggest changes to Pokemon in over a decade

Always, always GAF crash.
It's borderline impossible for me to be disappointed by a new character. Or rather, I should say I have faith in Sakurai to surprise me with something I didn't know I wanted. Each of his characters have some core idea -- or a collection of core ideas -- that make them resonate. Like Villager with his ability to pick up and pocket items and projectiles -- so true to the spirit of Animal Crossing. Or Rosalina being a puppeteer character, something we haven't seen in Smash. Each character feels unique. So I trust that every new character that is added, whether expected or unexpected, will enrich the whole roster in some way. In the end, I see the overall roster as the -true- character, and each newcomer simply deepens it.
