Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

Wow--just wow! That was incredible. Sad that we have to wait until summer, but Grenjinja looks absolutely awesome. The PokeDoll popping out during Substitute was a cute touch, haha. Can't wait to try him out!
I fully support the idea of transformation characters being made separate, and ZSS looks gorgeous. A little disappointed that we got Sheik instead of SS Impa, but no big deal.
Also, Sakurai sure knows how to troll (obvious Ridley shadow, Imposter Palutena trophy).

OK I was looking at the Ridley bit again and I think it's just about as good as an outright confirmation. My reasons to believe this are manifold:
1) The foreshadowing (pun intended) is starting to get blatant.

2) Dark Samus, Metroid and Mother Brain all are ATs. This obviously means the Metroid universe is expanding, since that's already 2 more ATs than Brawl had.

3) The "trophy quiz" bit had a Metroid trophy in it. I firmly believe those 4 trophies are hints to some of the remaining newcomers (I mean, Pseudo-Palutena basically confirms it).

Most importantly 4) When the "boss character" of Pyrosphere was teased, it was pretty clearly Ridley. However, if you look closely at what that shadow is doing, it doesn't look like Ridley is interacting with the stage at all. Yellow Devil was shooting and separating/reassembling himself, but Ridley was just flapping forward an inch and then just hovering there. That doesn't seem like something a boss character would do, now would it? Ridley would attack, not just fly there and pick his nostril.

Interesting theory... I remember Tiki (which would imply Chrom), the Metroid trophy (Ridley), Pseudo-Palutena (Palutena). What was the other one again?

Anyway, Greninja looks great, so does Zamus. Glad to see the best version is coming earlier than the other one.

I want to keep the hope alive, man. That's the only way for me. I was holding out for Ridley as being playable even after he was confirmed to be a boss in Brawl.
This cockteasing is just way too obvious for me. Remember the motto of GAF.

The first prediction will be something to watch out for and coming up with those characters on a whim is pretty unlikely.

This prediction is just random shots in the dark with the other guy's name as "credibility." I wanna see the receipts.

That was Meta Ridley, Normal Ridley could still be playable, remember Toon Link?

I feel the reason he didn't show Ridley was because he didn't want it to be super obvious that it was Meta Ridley and not normal Ridley because he's teasing us. Whether he's teasing that Ridley is playable or not is another thing entirely though.

Perhaps its just because I'm a smash fan, but that was the best Nintendo direct I've ever seen I'm pretty sure. Very well done, very key info, I'm left wanting very little.

It's the same guy though. And I find it believable that the guy just didn't know Greninja's name
 
I loled that he made the motions and everything Iwata style but did not say "directly" LOL

This was hype I need a new avatar

Greninja was something so... weird at least for me!
