Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

Let's all appreciate the fact this is 60fps 3D, even online.

They sure know how to use this system to their best ability. I'm loving the RPG like Smash Run mode.

That was an amazing Nintendo Direct. Now I'm properly hyped again & I'm greatly anticipating the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros! I'm looking forward to see what the exclusive mode for the Wii U version is - hopefully it's as fun as the 3DS exclusive mode - Smash Rush(?) - appears to be.

I'm still hoping that Mewtwo and Ganondorf are the game. (Let me have my dreams.)

I was praying she would not have heels but I can dig they serve a functional purpose and not... just completely impractical footwear for a fighter.

That reminds me, the flippers that Intelliheath said were deconfirmed were in that stage.
 
Simply brilliant direct. lol at everyone saying WiiU version would launch first. Superior 3DS version confirmed. So happy that its releasing September at the latest. Feels so soon!!!

So happy ZSS, Sheik, and Charizard are confirmed to be standalone characters. I never played as those characters because I hate the switch up mechanics.

Also, 4 Pokemon characters, which means that unless there is a secret 6th Mario rep, that there is only 1 left since I would think Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon would have the same number of reps, like in Brawl. This means no other Zelda character sadly but oh well. Of course, I could be totally wrong here, but it is the way I see it imo.

I am glad that Greninja is a character. There are a few characters that seem likely, that I wouldn't want, or maybe one that I want and expect (Palutena) but a character that I didn't think about much, and like it quite cool.

Balloon Fight stage looks cool too. Love Balloon Fight!

PS: Didn't see your avatar for me HyperActivity (I think thats who I betted against.) so if you posted and I missed sorry, still taking in da hype.

I'm guessing no customization movesets for tournaments, they'll just go with the standard movesets. Really I'm not expecting much in that field, customizable movesets is something I've heard people ask for for a while but I've always questioned how exactly they would work.

So, at the end with all the Pokeballs, we see Togepi, Darkrai, Chespin, Snivy,and Swirlix, which weren't revealed anywhere yet. Since all the other Pokemon that appear are Pokeball Pokemon, I think it's safe to assume these guys are too.

So, looks like we got some more returning and new Pokemon too which is nice
 
If the Palutena leak is legit, this might explain why it was a 3DS pic. That version is obviously further along. The game must be in more hands.

Why are people saying Kirby's transform move ss out when all they saw were custom movesets? Seriously you guys, he would have mentioned it when he was showing Kirby's new hammer move. Silly

That pseudo Palutena was awesome and I laughed.

Glad Charizard is on its own, I like Greninja as a new character and Kirby's final smash.

Also glad that Sheik and ZSS are separate characters now.
 
For Glory online play is far from optimal but it at least shows they are trying to please the competitive crowd. They could easily tweak some of final destination versions to have platforms, and changing the basic rules like time to stocks. They are all simple things to change, and if Sakurai is willing to have the game updated after release, it's plausible.
 
I love how Masterballs now contain the legendary Pokémon! Now we just need confirmation of more than three Pokéballs being usable at a time...

If they are something that can be set up quickly, then I don't see any reason to bar them from competitive play.

I get the feeling that customizeable moves could be a good thing. Lose round one? Change to a moveset that better fits what your opponent is doing. Also, I like the potential to see more unique fighters with different combos, that way when we get Fox/Falco at EVO 2015 every other matchup, they won't all be the same, lol.

somehow i'm not as hyped for the 3ds version. The Smash run thing looks cool but not really super interesting and the stages look kinda meh. But man oh man my hype went up tenfold for the wiiu version.
