Nintendo Downloads - April 2014

A Wednesday.... ? Doesn't make much sense. Related to the Smash Direct? I don't see why else it'd release on a Wednesday, though.

Dont.

Just... dont

Eh, it's a pretty solid game. I'm a big fan of the original DuckTales (though I've only played the excellent Game Boy port) and I had a lot of fun with this new version, too. True, the cutscenes can get annoying, but apart from that I think it's a faithful & entertaining remake. At that price you can't go wrong (if you have a fondness for the genre).

I understand. Unfortunally i had zero fun with this game

I dont feel too stupid to have bought it at full price because at that time i had nothing to play on my WiiU (it did had some games, but only very expensive ones)> But looking now, i dont see any reason at all to buy it. At any price (maybe at $2 or $3)

I have zero nostalgia on Duck Tales, since I've never played the original. Even so, I bought the remake a few months ago and had lots of fun with it. It only took me a few hours to go through it in hard mode, but I think it was worth it. Loved the music, by the way.

Nintendo UK lists download version of Kid Icarus: Uprising for this wednesday.

Nintendo updated its website, and no mention of Kid Icarus : Uprising anymore... I say, this looks fishy! :p

Create your own pocket-sized dynasty from 17th April when Nintendo Pocket Football Club releases exclusively on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS, available at a special launch offer price of £10.79 until 1st May (23:59 local time). After this date, the game will be available to purchase from Nintendo eShop for £13.49.

For Nintendo Pocket Football Club :)

I appreciate it was a retail title in Japan. But here, it's not. As a consumer, my purchase decisions aren't based on how things were elsewhere.

Right now it's an eShop title that looks, at first glance, to have about as much "game" as the likes of Pushmo, Picross, Mutant Mudds, VVVVVV, etc. And those are all cheaper. All I can compare it to are other games on the service.

I don#t know what that means. Do you mean content or gameplay or what? It's a football manger, not as complex as the one by Sega but that is still quite something.

Considering you can get for £10.79 (75% off what was the normal Japanese price), I'd say the pricing is right for what it is. We got Phoenix Wright for £20 and I'd say there's more 'game' in Nintendo Pocket Football Club than that.

That's pretty expensive. This game better have a LOT to do!

my first tought was the exact opposite: I was expecting a way higher price!
that's a great news for everybody: this game was a full retail game in Japan, has TONS of contents and, if interested in some sort of Football Manager with Sensible Soccer 8-bit graphics, it's a must have!
really: contents are not an issue from what I've seen/played for this game.
Imagine that you could go ahead and ahead with championship after championship, with new training, player trades, online ranking matches and so on and on...

Wait, Pocket Football is only £10.79?

ARGH NOA please bring it here, I would drop the equivalent of £10.79 so hard on that

Only if we get that baseball game.

I really don't get why Nintendo isn't releasing digital games everywhere. Just seems dumb to me.

Assuming NOA were to release it and follow what the € pricing looks like it could be* using the classic rule of €=$ (it does not always apply, NES remix is a perfect example though maybe it is due to us Europeans lacking nostalgia for the NES) that would be $12 with a regular price of $15. Of course getting NOA to release Pocket Soccer is like getting NOE to release Devilish Brain Training (oh what was this again, a sequel to one of the best selling DS games? and it flopped everywhere? shouldn't a flop still be a number worth noticing?), Chibi Robo or Rusty's Real Deal Baseball "Cricket"...

*-10.79 is 10% off 12 which is how the UK eShop prices are derived from €.

Pocket Football for just over £10!
Wooooooooooooooow, I'm genuinely impressed. Can't wait for it!
Anybody know the block size?

I wonder if the preorder numbers were so low that they cancelled the retail version to schedule a digital-only release.

Sounds about right, I was one of the presumed few who did pre-order and I think it was cancelled within a week or two of the release date. A sudden last minute decision like that had to be based on projected sales.
I'd want it digital now anyway so it works out better if they finally release it on the shop only, better be cheap after the long wait too!

Queen Bean fight in M&L .. God damn

I don't wanna hammer u all night baby gurrl

I was up until 4 stuck in a stalemate on this:

I've put in like 14 hours into this game already. It's fucking ridiculously addicting.
