Figure GAF |OT| Where has all of my money gone?

So someone put pics of Tony Taka's Iris up on Raptor's blagh. I didn't realize she was.... fully... sculpted.... I can honestly say that's the first PVC vagina I've ever seen.

Same. I think I'm going to back off all of the 7S pre-orders I have.... The temptation to collect the other Seven Sins figures would be too great.

Yeah, that figure is amazing isn't it? Nobody else has captured Shunya's artwork so perfectly, not even Reflect.

I see I'm not the only one eyeing that Muramasa.... I just don't know whether to order from AmiAmi or N-Y. N-Y is a few $$$ cheaper, but AmiAmi is giving me other stuff that month. Asuka will 1000% be delayed because lAter, so I'll probably have the empty slot in my order anyhow.

I'll probably go with AmiAmi since that snaffu with HLJ has made me paranoid of everyone else.

I want her so much, but the price at Nippon-Yasan is a bit rich for my blood.

Alphamax rushed their version out the door, and the face sculpt suffered because of it. She looks okay, don't get me wrong (there's a gallery of her a few pages back), but nowhere in the same league as Megahouse/Orchid Seed in my opinion.

Also, Orchid Seed's Sorceress is probably a 2015 release. I'm going with the Megahouse trio, Orchid Seed later. Maybe.

Nobody knows when. She hasn't even been painted. What we do know is that Orchid Seed is typically slower than glacial drift. FWIW, I just went and looked up the history on my Asmodeus:

Shipped 6/10/2013

There are some figures that they didn't even put up for pre-order for 2 years after announcing them.

As for MH Amazon, the prototype looks great. We haven't seen any final figures from that line yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I can't say no to that physique.
 
I don't know if you guys realized, but WING actually has TWO Muramasa figures coming. The other one looks something like this. I think I prefer the one currently up for pre-order (that ship sailed as soon as I got a glimpse of dat hometown - HHHHNNNNNNNGGGGGG), but I do want to see this one painted.

EDIT: oh, this is actually a different character! I can't tell!

She tends to show up pre-owned on AmiAmi for a bit cheaper than Nippon-Yasan's asking price. Somewhere in the 9k - 11k range depending. But she wasn't a cheap figure to begin with, so I wouldn't expect to find her much below that.

That's fair. Just, ugh, being Canadian, on top of the standard fee, conversion rates are just so bad right now... Lucifer is an absolute beauty though.

I was always semi-interested in figure collecting ever since I saw the original geek-gaf thread but was too worried about what other people thought. Eventually I ran out of fucks to give and bought Fem Shep. After that well...

I still remember the first time I bought a figure. It was a vulnerable time when I came to the realization that I had every game I wanted at the time, and I was majorly into Higurashi no Naku koro ni, got a figure of Shion/Mion along with a haruhi figure from ebay.

It's too bad though, both of my higurashi figures sem to have suffered from heat damage or something, the outer plastic is sticky, and then dust got attracted to them. Impossible to wash off, I had to retire them :<
 
that might have convinced me to maybe put some money back into figure collecting but august = nogo, i have otakon that month. maybe i'll find some cool stuff there, i dunno.
 
That movic/max factory comparison is perfect for showing newcomers the differences in quality from alower tier company and a god tier one. Has that happened before?
