Well, Link activated that move from the ground, so I assumed that it might be his new B+^ or it could be the customized moveset for UP+^.
I remember seeing his old up B in another clip. I think he's just jumping and doing it in those, but the power up he gets make it hard to tell.

Are we sure that move isn't just Link's upward aerial? Also keep in mind that you constantly grab powerups in Smash Air Ride, so he could already have substantially increased airtime / momentum compared to how it'll appear in standard play. Take a look at how high he jumps in the bottom .gif.

Gotta agree with this. I'd probably swap WFT and little Mac but other than that yeah. I thought mega man was it but then greninja came out. He's like Sheik but fixes some of my problems with her. Then again, so does new Sheik actually...

Villager, Mega Man, Little Mac all look so amazing to me. Every single one of them look incredible, right up my alley in terms of play styles. Wii Fit Trainer looks very fun to play with but I'm not really biting at the nail to try her out, as much as the top 3 anyways. I don't really care about Greninja or Rosalina as characters so I guess I'm a bit biased in terms of not wanting to play as them. They still look like good fun and I'll give them both a fair shot, but yeah, just not as excited about those two. P:

First of all, amazing job with this post.
Second, Greninja looks fucking incredible. I was already excited for him from just watching the Direct, but seeing his moveset all slown down and isolated like that just makes me even more hyped. He just looks so damn fun.
I can see myself maining him if Sheik is booty again in Smash 4 >_<

Link's up air looks better IMO. Seeing it on the Wii U maybe makes it better imo.

40 characters is a lot. I got rid of the 'filler' and was left with 38 and had to re add Zero Suit Samus and Wii Fit Trainer lol

In Villager's case, I demand a female skin to play as him (or better, her). WFT got a male skin, after all. Or else I might not even touch the character.

It's fun learning to play the cast and it helps with learning character matchups too.

And if Smash is gonna play a big factor in your purchase, you get that much earlier on 3DS. You'd probably be able to find a WiiU for a lower price by the time Smash comes to WiiU, as well.

Oh I will definitely use the random button A LOT. I do like the idea of having main/favorite characters in games like this, so I will eventually settle down with a few mains (five at most).

I love playing Random and do so a lot of the time. But when I'm playing against a friend "for serious" and we turn off items or whatever, I like to have a couple characters that I know I'm actually good at.

The only reason i buy Nintendo consoles is for Smash bros and Zelda to be honest. It collects dust after that. I guess i'll wait for a smash bundle for any of the consoles and lower price since i don't really want any of the available games.
So there was another instance the weird Up-Air was used (I thought it was one-handed before, but it clearly shows 2 hands here). Link also uses a jump slash here. And you'll notice Link's sword glows blue in all of the attacks he does here. Seems they made the blue streak thing really strong.

Not sure if it's worth buying a 3DS at this point for that alone, but ALBW is one of the best Zeldas around, the OoT remake is supposed to be pretty great, and (fingers crossed!) Majora's Mask should be right around the corner. So I'd advise you in that direction once the price drops.
