No, Taloon, the merchant character from Dragon Quest 4. You know, Dragon Quest, the game where only numbers 7 and 8 have not appeared on Nintendo consoles. The game that sells on par with Pokemon in Japan. People really should consider it when discussing Square-Enix reps.

7 got released on the 3DS in Japan, 8 is literally the only DQ game to not be on a Nintendo console

Banjo should have been in way back in Melee or Brawl. Him getting in now is exactly like asking for Kratos or Master Chief. It's impossible. Joanna Dark was probably gonna be in too since we had the cloaking device and sensor bomb (now branded as a smash item) from those games.

I would be fine with Microsoft making him 3ds exclusive, as long as he was in. Microsoft did allow their ips on Nintendo handhelds, such as the GBA Banjo, Viva Pinata DS, and DKR DS. Made a few other appearances too. I even think there were talks of HAlo DS as well. Too bad Microsft seems to not want to do this anymore

That they did. Although none of them were published by Nintendo, but THQ. Only exception was Diddy Kong Racing and I don't think they cared about the DKR characters since they never had plans to use them again. Banjo and Conker were taken out since Microsoft had use for them and didn't want them in Nintendo's game. Microsoft would make their own fighting game (likely to none) before they'd let Banjo in 3DS Smash.

I think it was just that there was a vocal minority that really wanted him because they really liked Super Mario RPG. I don't think Geno was ever really popular with anything resembling a majority of people.

I haven't beaten X/Y yet, do all/any of the starters have Mega Evolutions?
It seems weird to have some Pokes in the game who can Mega Evolve while others can't... but not that weird, I guess.

The most obvious choice would be Samurai Goro, who was around since the first game and is Captain Falcon's rival, but he's still an Assist Trophy. So, it'd likely fall to Black Shadow, who was technically main villain in X (although it had no story scenes in the game itself) and in the anime based games. Even in GX he was the false main villain, with the real boss only appearing properly in one chapter.

The only starters with Megas are Venusaur, Blastoise, Charizard (x2), and Blaziken. No 5th or 6th gen pokemon have Megas.

I can understand that, but he got WAY more support than most other retro characters before Brawl. I never saw that level of support for, say, Mike Jones.

The only one I'm iffy on is the side B; could also be Quick Attack. Definitely not Shadow Sneak, which actually involves the user attacking with its shadow.

Nope! For starters yes, but there's a MegaAmpharos, MegaLucario, etc.
Ooh, good call on Aqua Jet. I'd say smokescreen over quick attack if only because Pikachu already has QA.
Prince Tricky would definitely be a beast.
His final smash would be to get in the way of the rest of the players.

I guess it would actually be weirder if all the Pokemon did have Mega Evolution as their final smash, very few characters share Final Smashes, right? Ness and Lucas are the only two that leap to mind.
Yeah Smokescreen makes more sense than Quick Attack.
Could also be Faint Attack, going by the description. Too bad Greninja doesn't lean Sucker Punch.
