I like the story and the game play of Bioshock Infinite. And i still think its a good game.
Diablo 3 is a ton of a fun and I can't wait for the future of it.
This. All Japanese characters look like women.

Mario's a japanese character
As is the Belmont clan

You have a broad definition of what women typically look like

Platinum is not a good developer.
Crash Bandicoot and Jak should stay dead. Not only are they mediocre games that time has ravaged, they're horrendous looking. I can't believe people are getting excited over a ND art book, when half of it will probably consist of these two, or early concept art that's EVEN WORSE.
All Infamous games are crap and massively overrated.
I'm a big fan of Yoshi's Story on the N64 and I even like his voice.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 is one of the best racing games of last generation.
The only thing separating Rhythm Heaven Fever from Android freeware is a $30 MSRP and Nintendo's good name.
The King returned in full with Pro Evolution 2013.
When I buy a PS4 I won't buy Infamous. I got the first one for free when PSN got hacked and I didn't like it at all, it's just not my kind of game.I feel so stupid having a PS4 and no desire at all to buy Infamous, I got the first 2 for free and they're so boring to me (as Prototype)
Consoles are hardware DRM boxes which have no other reason for existence than enabling playing games for people who are too dumb to maintain a gaming PC.
The Souls games are terrible (I haven't played Dark Souls 2 but I've heard its more of the same). The combat was absolutely awful. It felt slow and imprecise and the best way to beat bosses was to just spam projectile attacks at distance. A cursory check of my past opinions on framerates would show I'm the farthest thing from a 60fps or bust fundamentalist but even I had issues with the treacle like controls on both Demons and Dark Souls (PS3 and 360 versions respectively). I only bought Dark Souls because of all the hype saying it was much tighter but the gameplay was still pretty awful. The games also suffered from a super generic universe, poor plot and dull graphics. About the only redeeming features were the interesting boss design (visual not gameplay) and the sense of challenge at the beginning.
All the God Of War games (even the PSP versions) shit all over them from a combat perspective.

PS2 is overrated.
Ubisoft games are essentially all the same game with just enough art asset difference to hide that fact.
Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed, Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs.
Capture points. Fill bars.
hell, even the terrain from far cry, assassins creed and tomb raider look the same.
Kinda agree. It won by default. Despite the Dreamcast doing record launch sales Sega was too deep in dept. Nintendo was too late with the Gamecube and it used those silly little discs and the Xbox was an aspiring but new brand.
And lets not forget many of the PS2 killer games were PSone sequels.

These aren't Ubi games?
A+ postAgreed. But that is hardly controversial.
Disagreed. Everything else simply looks bad because of how GREAT this game was.
Pretty easy to make polished games when you are remaking the same bunch of games over and over, almost never taking risks. I've played all of their games, (worked for them in the late 90's/early 2000's) and think they make great games but they most certainly do just rehash... actually rehash is probably too kind. They make the same game with a few new touches. You do that over and over and of course you're going to have polished games.
Totally disagree. Apart from the gameplay itself being 'fake stealth' (seriously, a guard sees you, the screen shines, you hide and he's like 'hmm I must be high') and not even including knocking on walls, hiding bodies in crates/lockers, under boxes etc, yet still relying on tacky '!' instead of making an immersive, minimal HUD and onscreen prompts is bad enough. But the fact they charged so much for content that is smaller than many free demos and cheaper DLC is a joke. But again, most people have either of these opinions so hardly controversial.
I'd love to know how many of the so called Souls fans played the original game on day one. Having never played a Souls game before (nor having read or watched walkthroughs), Demon's Souls was a very tough game for everyone. Yes, you could master it, but you are speaking shit if you call the game easy.
It's pretty common for people to finish a tough game and then whip their dick out and say they breezed through it. And this earns you nothing by the way.

:| maaaan, I swear that said sleeping dogs. Nevermind.
I actually also agree with him/her
i had to look it up. Tomb Raider isn't but I thought it was because it is oddly similar to Far Cry and Assassins Creed. Even down to art and minigames.
my point still stands though.
This is a problem more than just exclusive to ubisoft.
Your point is valid, but the publisher accuracy is a distraction. Pretty much all AAA published stuff is the same these days. Filling bars inHD900p.
"A number of members of ex-Ubisoft staff have worked on Eidos Montreals multiplayer Tomb Raider component, boasting experience gleaned from creating the multiplayer modes for Assassins Creed, Rainbow Six and Far Cry 3, amongst others."
I decided to look into that.
Daniel Bisson has worked on Tomb Raider and also was with Ubisoft on the Assassin's Creed games.

I'm okay with calling them whatever genre, but party game? What is exactly a party game? Guitar Hero is a party game, for example. Call them... uh, platformers or dating simulators, at least those are genres that actually define gameplay.Any Super Smash Bros game is NOT a fighting game. It's closer to a party game.
These designations are about as useful as calling something a party game. They also define design elements, not gameplay.I'm okay with calling them whatever genre, but party game?
