Fighting Games Weekly | April 7-13 | Smash our expectations

RayRay pretty much dominated everyone there. I think his closest match was against that gimmicky ass Zero or RR/Morrigan/Vergil player.

Which wins matter? Which wins don't?

This is a topic I laugh a lot about. Very relevant for KOF, and for the EG players regarding SF4.

I'm not huge on Marvel but without the big names there RayRay should probably not be gloating about this victory.

Sadly that will be the case. PR Rog is in Japan with Nemo. Justin Wong is god knows where and Chris G is living it up at another tournament, same with Apologyman.

JWong is at PAX East and participated (and probably won) the Capcom Tour tournament that was held there.

I observed this in that thread, but

How about no. The idea of generalizing many different games with different business strategies, communities, competitions, gameplay, style, and fans that hate each other under the label of "MOBA" seems like a horrendous idea. The thread is also demeaning to all the individual communities, as instead of treating them like different you are just blending them together.

Kind of got me thinking about a certain regular genre lumping together megathread.

blah blah blah FG"C" is a myth, something something Capcom game community et cetera

Was playing Marvel with my new team with the stream on next to me and forgot to check - so I missed this JRosa controller thing, Flux losing to Coach once again and RayRay finally winning something meaningful in the US. Gonna have to catch those tomorrow.

There's going to be so much silly debate over the Civil War/RayRay win, I can already tell.

Hate against Skisonic is dumb and unwarranted.

Hate is a strong word. If anyone really hates Skisonic, they've got problems.

I don't like listening to him talk, but whatever. He's seemingly just a regular nice guy who goes to events and works for free.

People in the chat can get crazy with the negativity and making it personal. Just mute and put on some music, man.

GG Xrd not anime confirmed.

I'll just start calling it kusoge then ^_^

I've seen walls get punched out at fighting game tournaments, though. Hell, in extreme situations I've seen controllers and walls get damaged from too much salt.

I'm responsible for 3 broken sticks. One of them was my own, but it was when I was rocking a Mahouko special so it was only worth $5. (I think I paid $2.99 for it in a yard sale or something when I was super-poverty. I got my money's worth)

This is probably the most correct analysis of Ski's commentating. Monsters are always going to exaggerate anything they do so calling the dislike of Ski's commentating as hate is wrong. Also, if I remember correctly, some of Ski's info has been wrong as well.

Amazing
