Love the move set. Flows for me. I tried the ultra Greatswords with the same movesets but they're way slower and drain stamina faster so I end up going back to my Bastard.

Do they have the stab forward then spin heavy attack? I'd like to know how much stamina that takes because I fought a guy who did that 5 times in a row which seems like a crazy amount of stamina to consume.

I use one-handed so the strong is vertical slice followed by horizontal slash. Light is just horizontal slashes.

I think maybe the guy you fought had a different weapon. Maybe a Claymore cuz that has a thrust attack. I don't really care for the thrust. I was using that two-handed with the Zweihander.

, my toxic/pyro technique from NG is not cutting it at. all.

Most of the ultra greatsword are leaving a lot to be desired really. I'm using a old knight great sword on my co-op character it's a pretty good great sword. And it's got decent scaling for what you can get very easily early on.

The key to the embedded was fun to muck around with till I had to thrust it into a bossom.

Me too - I am all about the fashion souls. Also find the guys in all Havel to be real easy to exterminate.

Is the havel's set still super weak to poison? In DS1 you can poison/toxic a haveldude as easily as if they weren't wearing anything.

I know the feel. I tried toxic mist/ other pyros as well several times. She has like 12k fucking hp.
I wasn't coming close until I used profound still to block her from casting at all. Then she constantly runs up to you and will whack you with her chime, which does way more damage than it should. And you have to watch out because the very nanosecond she gets the ability to cast back, WOTG is coming out.

I heard she's tough on NG. she's probably a monster in NG+ haha

Speaking of the Embedded. I'm gonna keep the Embedded Key in NG+. It's a freakin' KEYBLADE LOL

If you have the stats for a large club, you can just crush her over and over until she dies.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women all in one move.

It takes it off of you if you don't use it when you start another new game cycle as it counts as a key still. I got all excited when I read the description, I was most disappointed with the outcome.

Ah fuck. That's such bullshit. One of the coolest looking weapons and they make it a KEY item.

It's probably a Flamberge. That great sword doesn't consume a lot of stamina and has the moveset you described. It also has the bleed effect.
The only downside is that you can't buff it.

What are some of the better light armours?
I got a sweet str/dex no shield build and I love being super fast.

I'm currently rocking Dark Armour +5 but surely there's better stuff out there.

man, whomever said lost Sinner was easy now on NG+ is seriously a jerk. The entire level is fucking brutal. those scorpions take forever to kill, and the mummys are OP and stun lock me. it doesn't help that I constantly get invaded here and invaders are always super OP.

Lucatiiel is useless, and the Pryos and Sinner destroy me.

Goddamnit, this is really fucking annoying. Why did they have to make 4 archers at the bonfire? I lost 500k souls because those archers.

Getting bored of my lightning claymore so I started messing around with the mastodon halberd. Damn that thing wrecks everything lol, loving it right now. Not sure if I want to lighting infuse yet though for my faith build. Dat spin attack.

fuck that bonfire. If you're still running hexes, I beat LS NG+ pre patch/ lights off with GRS and just completely avoided the pyromancers. They weren't worth engaging.

How did you lose 500K so close to the bonfire? Also, try equipping the ring of life protection next time your souls are in a dicey situation.

There's only 3 archers there, iirc. But yea, it's an asshole bonfire lol

I used Elite Knight for a long time, then Faraam until the end. Both are light enough for me and are pretty well rounded.

Is there a particular reason why it can't be buffed? I'll have to watch out for that weapon.

Speaking of rings of protection, it's kind of fucked up that I have
5 rings that protect life and souls
by the end of NG. If I wanted to, I guess I could have
10
by the end of NG+.

I've always been partial to the Black Leather armor set, not so much for its stats, but because it looks sleek as hell on my female knight. Used it a lot in Dark Souls as well. It will definitely keep you light at least...

Yeah but 2 of those cost double to repair, which is too much death tax imho.

I had to do Wharf in NG+ for Lucatiel's quest and got regular four rings in one run. P good.

You can buy ten of them in Dark Souls I and find several more in the world. The only difference is they can be repaired now, but if you stock up on ROS rings in DS and only use them after you die, it's pretty much the same thing.

I know tis a pity really. At least the dragonslayer crescent axes aren't taken off of you at least.

Alim murder them all till they no longer spawn then.

The Profound Still hex is so good against her. She doesn't even have a real weapon to use once she's silenced, she just attacks with her chime.

Any suggestions for a weapon to infuse with dark?
I have long sword, zweihander, old knight halberd and washing pole. Zwëihander is probably the best one. Looking for something with good base damage and durability

The exploding mummies and man scorpions are so fucking overpowered. I die in a single hit and they have such insane HP. it's seriously insane, how the fuck am I supposed to get through this area?

Easier to lure the big guys into the elevator room so it's easier to dodge.

Man, mummies are so easy to dodge. Just dodge as they just hit the floor, the explosion hitbox is a tad delayed.

The range is insane. I can't dodge them, like ever. THey see me, and rush towards me and explode dealing 90% of my HP in damage, and then as soon as I get up they are already about to attack again, so I can't dodge or heal. Kinda SOL. This entire area is hard.

Are you using a broken sword hilt? You can one shot these guys with a short bow and iron arrow.

Exploding Mummies are my least favorite enemies in the entire game.

Trolls second because of their
unblockable grab/head-munching
move.

Welp, i think that the
Ancient Dragon
battle is easier without summoning (at least for me). If you are the only one fighting him is much easier to predict his next movement, on the other hand if he is attacking multiple players you can't know which zone is targeting with his AoE attacks.

Yeah I loved the Mastodon Halberd and Sword. Gotta watch out for that spin attack though, it eats away at the Durability so quick.
