Thats true... ^^; Well in my defence, the movie hasn't been released in Japan yet! I just heard that...that...happens.
 
I hope they have the rest of the Hydra Council in the show. They could take down few and leave a the big names to Cap. They could replace Gorgon with someone else.

This is exactly the scheduling model ABC was going to try with OUAT in Wonderland, before Paul Lee stupidly changed his mind and decided to run it alongside the original show.

Anyway, this would make a lot of sense. It would allow SHIELD to run with minimal interruption (one long hiatus is a hell of a lot better than a half-dozen smaller ones), thus addressing one of the main complaints about S1, and would avoid the problem of having two Marvel espionage shows running concurrently. I like it.

What are the odds that they an actually get the actress from the first Captain America film to do the series? hat was the Marvel One Shot that it was based on? I dont know why but I'm having a hard time remembering any one shot that could serve as a template for her series?

Also this makes the revelations from this and TWS make me view any Sitwell scenes in a new light. Remembering The Hub... do we think that he question hand why there was not an extraction, or did he ask why they (Fitz and Ward) got one? I guess Hand was trying to knock off Coulsons people because she suspected he was Hydra? Or could it have been a decision outside her specific say so designed to thin known SHIELD/Non-Hydra agents.

Either way the bizarre no evac from that episode can make a lot of sense now. I wonder what other easter eggs or events from previous episode that we might have missed kind of click now. Here is looking forward to next weeks episode. That is honest something that I have not had happen with Agents of SHIELD aside from the Asgard episode, and basically everything after having seen episode 12, give or take.

Just wanted to chime in on how great the last episode was since I usually am criticizing this show. I thought they handled the whole Hydra reveal really well and it makes me want to go back and watch for anything planted in earlier episodes. I thought Ward's reveal was pitch perfect (even if I saw it coming as soon as he left with Hand) and his fight scene was awesome, not just for this show but in general. I can't wait to see where they're taking this thing. It's kind of weird to have a show called "Agents of SHIELD" when SHIELD doesn't exist any more.

I'm hoping, even though it picked up in the last 4 or so episodes,

For me Arrow has set the bar cor comic to TV shows, there was already a season out before AoS premiered and AoS must have a substancially larger budget

There will be no movies that tie into the next season. Avengers 2 begins right after the season ends and Guardians of the Galaxies won't have any connection to what is happening on earth in the MCU.

If the rumors of split seasons around an Agent Carter mini series are true then they could plan for one arc in the fall that is self contained and then pick up in the spring with the lead up to Age of Ultron
 
Yeah. This split AoS season with Carter in the middle sounds like a great plan. Especially if AoS gets a full season order and schedule up front.

Not quite. It opens in the US May 1, so barring some atypical scheduling, at least the final 2-3 episodes of the season should air after it opens, and presumably dovetail with it to some extent.

GotG is unlikely to have any direct impact on the show, for obvious reasons, but I would expect we'll see more loosely related alien stuff next season.

If commissioned, Agent Carter would air as a limited series and could air between the fall and spring portions of Agents of SHIELD season two.

If that's true, then it leaves some room for them to either build up to or build off from AoU.

This is good news though, part one in the fall would be self contained and that means they can finally begin to finally do something interested and not be tied down by whatever the next movie is cooking up.
 
I think this show would greatly benefit from a reduced episode order, say...17 episodes or so. There needs to be a tighter ship and a removal of Loeb.

I like it too. Never expected Agent Carter to be an ongoing series so the complaint about them having two Marvel spy shows running concurrently was never an issue to me.

Especially if there's some story tie in, it makes a ton of sense to do it this way.

Was "Hail Hydra!" used in the movie, too? The meme is becoming very popular around the Internet but my guess it's not because of AOS.

There's a scene where two characters hug each other goodbye and one whispers it in the others ear. It's a small, but surprising character reveal. That's from where the meme stems.

In theory, a female-led Marvel show could also serve as something of a bridge between SHIELD and ABC's more typical viewer demographics.

It's that annoying Senator from Iron Man and another SHIELD operative. It was a laughable scene so I can understand why it became a meme.

Laughable?
The continuity nerd in me got happy, and it was the set-up for the next scene, which is one of my favourites.

I am happy for any bit of continuity between the movies, so I was happy, that so many characters returned.
