now i'm curious,i know all we have are video atm,but i was wondering what doesn the "smash competitive scene" thinks of what has been shown thus far of the new SSB?I mean something like the speed and the ability to do combo,sicne i don't think the glitches like wave dash or anything similiar will be back after being resolved in brawl.

All the talk about Ike being gone has me worried though. His moveset is unique though. So I'm 50/50 on him being cut. I REALLY don't want to see him/his moveset cut though.
He's probably my favorite character in Brawl.

Ivysaur and Squirtle are probably gone, yes. I can't see Sakurai not revealing them with Charizard. RIP, nobody will miss you. Now let's hope that a certain pink pokemon veteran will lose its place to a fairy evolution of a normal pokemon that's also an AT.

For people who actually think we are getting 40 or under for final roster are being silly; I'm pretty sure that Sakurai wouldn't take a step backward with the numbers of roster, and character roster itself.

I dont post that often usually, but Ive mentioned before I don't get the reasoning behind him getting cut. Admittedly, he's my favorite character/FE lord so I'm biased. But with Awakenings success I see no reason for FE to not have three reps. If Chrom ends up having a different moveset(which seems to be the case with all newcomers so far), then I'm confident Ike will be back.
That's true. lol But I really wanted to see his Mega Evolution as a fighter. The first playable dragon pokemon.
Soon Garchomp will be a fighter and my life will be complete.Believe it or not: Charizard is actually one of the most popular Pokémons.
In that case no, it seems to be a new arrangement so you probably won't be able to find it until release.
Charizard is TPCi's golden goose, son. He's what keeps the old guard around.

Aside from the gameplay reason(removing transformations), most people picked PT just to play Charizard anyways. Made sense to make Charizard his own character, just didn't expect Sakurai to do it. Also helps them show off X/Y stuff.
Dumb question, but wouldn't that get Mod censored? I remember the original DKC TF OT having "Fucking Donkey Kong" in it. I know we can say this in posts, but I thought the titles could not have it

Well, him and Mewtwo. Let's not forget the other one who got two Mega-Evos to his credit.
But assuming Mewtwo somehow doesn't make it into this game, I'm just assuming he's one of several, like Blaziken, who will likely get their due in Pokkén instead. One of his MegaEvos being Fighting/Psychic would make it perfect!

You sure about that? Seemed to me that Squirtle was the most popular of the three; I do know competitive-wise he was the best.
That much is clear to me. But the fact that he was tethered to two other characters in Brawl kind of quelled the power of his popularity. If he had been regulated back to Pokeball-status there wouldn't be too much of an outcry, I don't think. A lot of people would just view it as PT being cut and wouldn't care too much as that character wasn't popular.
