Why revive her if we could not fight Mother Brain in Other M?

There was peace? Why is Ridley killing peace of SmashGAF
He's a Space pirate zombie dragon.
That's like 4 3 uber-destructive things rolled into one.
So just give him new specials?tWolf needs an identity, Not remain a Fox that gained 50 lbs.
That's not a problem as long as he doesn't get grabbed by Snake.
So the only way to have Ridley is to cut Snake.
Occasionally a robot zombie, no less.
But I want to see. Shulk is too uncool for that.Fiora in Mechon armor
Speed please. Would also be right up Sakurai's alley I guess.
I wonder how Ridley will appear in Metroid 5.Sometimes there's a virus added on as well
Because Other M was cinematic and cinematic games have other people fight bosses and beat final levels for you.Why revive her if we could not fight Mother Brain in Other M?![]()
The statues defeated Ridley. Samus wounded him and then they shot him with their lasers.Yeah, and?
You mean when he was playing dead?
Unless you actually believe Ridley got knocked out, woke up a few seconds later when Samus's back was conveniently turned so he could sneak attack her, and then flew away without trouble.
That wasn't the ghosts; read the scan data on Chozo statues.
After poor Ridley was reduced to clutching his chest and screaming in agony, those lasers knocked him off a cliff so he fell to the bottom of the crater and exploded. God, would have been nice if he had wings or something to avoid that.
Then the ghosts let Samus into the crater to kill the real final boss.
On a mechanic level, any worthwhile team runs Shulk because he has OP main character abilities. By seeing the future, the screen slows down and goes grayscale and plays out what the enemy is going to do, before it returns you back to the battle and lets you decide how to react and several of Xenoblade's monster's attacks are color coded as a "heavily recommended" to use Monado Shield, Monado Speed, etc. against certain attacks. Notable ones are:
1) Monado Speed: Buffing an ally's speed to evade an attack
2) Monado Shield: Temporarily negating damage from enemy special attacks
3) Monado Purge: Removing enemy buffs
4) Monado Enchant: Enchanting everyone's weapons to deal damage to invincible machine enemies
(also that absurdly strong ability that temporarily reduces all damage by 80-90%)
And various other unremarkable, well-rounded abilities (healing, Xenoblade's Daze/Topple abilities, etc.)

I'm almost hoping they don't explain it.

So we're at Undead Robotic Space Pirate Plague Dragon.
Perhaps we can get Ridley: Balrog edition in Metroid: Even More Ms so that we can have him wreathed in flames as well.
So just give him new specials?
Wolf's fighting style is entirely different from Fox's. In the A-moveset, he shares 0 moves with Fox, or at most 2 if you count a kick as the same (e.g. Fox's USmash and Wolf's USmash are kicks, but Fox does a backflip, while Wolf kicks straight upwards). Wolf mostly uses his claws in the A moveset, with only a handful of kicks thrown in, while Fox has 1 single move in which he uses his hands.
The specials are significantly different as well in how they work.
The only thing they share that's virtually identical is the final smash.
If you play Wolf like you play Fox, you're gonna be sucking ass.
Why is Ridley killing peace of SmashGAF
Pretty much, Yeah looks like I'm referring to the specials. I want to see more ideas flow there, I really don't like the copypasta job with different properties.
I can see Wolf really coming into his own and being even more varied than his original inclusion this time around. I see him actually being very dangerous potentially. But he just needs more originality in the special department. I liked his A movesets, that was fine. Claws doing heavy smash damage was a great touch.
Falco on the other hand.... homeboy needs big work done....
The only special I of Wolf's that I'd be happy to see go is his crappy blaster. His b-side and b-up are pretty fun to use, and the shine's kinda nice.
Maybe Shulk will replace Ike's playstyle should Ike get cut. He can mimic that combination of mobility and strength.

Personally, I think his blaster is the most interesting out of his specials, because it's a pewpew gun, but so different from the lasers of Fox and Falco. Especially the fact you can hit them with the knife on the gun up close too.
I think I can see this happening.
I want his Final Smash to be Monado Buster. The Monado extends to be half the width of the screen, and Shulk just casually swats everyone away.
It'll probably end up being his neutral special, being chargeable like Ike's. His FS will probably be the above, but with.the 'true' Monado
Neutral special: Monado Buster
Side special: Monado Purge
Up special: Monado Cyclone
Down special: Monado Shield
Pretty simple Monado-based moveset. Maybe some of those could be replaced by Back Slash or some of Shulk's other non-Monado arts.

Eh. Connecting the end of Wolf's side-b to meteor smash an opponent is probably the single most satisfying move in the entirely of Brawl, imo.
Sure. The statues defeated Ridley. Samus wounded him and then they shot him with their lasers.
She didn't defeat him by that poster's standards. The lasers did.
You're actually right here because Ridley was fucked up after the fight, although I doubt Ridley could beat the queen either way.Hell, if you're going to keep pointing out that she burned his wings which allowed the lasers to get him, then what about Samus weakening him enough in Other M so that the Metroid Queen could suck him dry? Why does that not count?
Yes. Nobody is complaining about Samus getting help. She's gotten help since Metroid 2.Why is getting help only a weakness in Other M? She definitely would have died in Prime 3 if Rhundus hadn't saved her from plummeting to the center of Norion.

.....what?
Shulk isn't anything like Ike in playstyle, no thanks

Shulk? like Ike? there's no fucking way.
Ike can't be in Smash, he's too busy fighting for his friends.

Man, I'll say it again, they are not cutting a character only to clone the gameplay onto someone else. Complete waste of time.
I just hope I can finally meet this "Great Ethan" Ike keeps talking about. He seems like a swell guy.Prepare yourshulk

The only one I can see them do it with that would seem likely is Snake. Would be a waste of a unique moveset if they can't get the rights back.
That said, somebody inheriting Ike's moveset doesn't seem all THAT weird to me either.
Its so blah to me. Do we really need 3 characters with Side B Dash, Down B Reflectors, Up B Rising Charges and Regular B Blasters? Even with different properties, it feels uninspired... On top of that, you gave all them the damn landmaster! Why didn't Falco have an arwing? Smh
18 slots left? Most realistic ^^ I don't want Lucas back though.
NO
THESE TWO SWORDS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME DESPITE REQUIRING A DIFFERENT NUMBER OF HANDS HAVING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION AND ONLY ONE OF THEM BEING ABLE TO CAST MAGIC
ALL SWORDS ARE THE SAME AND ARE MADE EXACTLY THE SAME WAY
ANY BLACKSMITH WHO TELLS YOU OTHERWISE IS A LIAR AND A DUMBASS

Well to be fair, one of Ragnell's defining features is that it can shoot energy beams at distant targets as easily as it can stab things. It also increases the defense of its wielder.
On the other hand, it never once lights up with red flames in the games it came from. Also, the handedness of Ragnell is a matter of question. given that Ike wields every sword one-handed, even his giant blade Ettard (which is even bigger than the large Blade-type weapons) and the Horseslayer. It once lit up with blue flames, but that was under special circumstances.
So Brawl really didn't reflect Ragnell's special qualities accurately at all. But both Ragnell and the Monado do shoot blasts of energy, so the comparison isn't that bad.
What is the weight distribution of the Monado anyways? How much do energy blades weigh? Not that the metal base looks light...
