Akibas Trip 2 coming to the PS4 in Japan really makes me rethink getting it on Vita when the localization arrives...
But it's nice to see stuff coming to the ps4 on Japan, even if not exclusive.

It's? thought akibastrip 2 was only on PS3 and Vita.

EDIT: Got another top page it seems....uhh Metal Gear Rising Revengeance since I'm playing that right now alot of fun :D

Interesting. I'm still probably gonna get the vita version though.

Aye, got announced today (and I forgot to link: http://gematsu.com/2014/04/akibas-trip-2-coming-playstation-4-japan)

I'm assuming the genre would tire me out if I get both Akibas and Shinovi Versus on Vita, so having one of then on the big screen might keep things fresh.

will end up double dipping ;_;

You should try playing Blitzball for a few hours, dodging 200 lightning bolts, getting less than 0 seconds on a chocobo race, filling out a sphere grid, and capturing a shit ton of monsters

Or not.

I didn't bother with half the trophies in that game. I enjoyed the game much more without chasing those pointless mini-games. I got Yuna's ultimate (it's actually story related and easy) and stopped there.

Blitzball is fun. And well, the others are fairly more interesting than having to spend 40 minutes downloading someone's creations.

Found something really irritating in the No Heroes Allowed game, if you have too many heroes it tells you you have to set some free. If you pick a couple and press Set Free it sets the heroes you just got free, not the ones you chose to set free. I just lost a super rare hero that way. You have to press Ok instead.

What's irritating me is that every time I kill a hero Badman talks and it ruins my combo. :/

I love FFX, but I'm not even gonna bother attempting to get the platinum for the HD remaster. Fuck that shit.

My god playing this Mickey game is painful. The jumping is so hard for me to time, how does this get past the testing phase, it's brutal. Nice looking game, but I'm not enjoying it because of this one awful problem.

That wasn't even the bad part for me.
Completing the sphere board for every character is a lot more annoying in my opinion.

I have everything done except completing the sphere board and defeating Nemesis/Penance but the massive grind for the completed board has stopped me from finishing the platinum for now.
Well I have been using that time to polish my pdf 2nd skills :D

Really enjoying Dead Nation on Vita, definitely grows on you.

Superfrog HD is actually a fun platformer, glad I picked it up.

But I really love having KZ botmode on Vita. So much more chill. Botfps in your hands, practice some sniping without dealing with the campaign nonsense (alarms, no sniping areas etc). Was supposed to be playing my shiny new pc rig today but it didn't go as planned, vita picked up the slack well.

Btw recent updates in case you missed out:

Terraria 1.2 patch (some reports of not loading old save files, worked okay for me)
PSASBR balance patch
KZ:M Bot mode DLC (£2)
LBPV superhero level dlc
Football Manager Classic 2014 Patch

I'm waiting on that promised OlliOlli patch still and also hopefully a Spelunky HUD patch.

Q:

I have a new Japanese Vita 2000 (green white). I wanted to have my VitaOLED as my American model and the newer one my Japanese model.

Can I log into my American PSN on my Japanese vita and download games from PS+?

Or should I create a Japanese PSN account? And can I have both on one vita, logging in and out?

Thanks!

Picked up a couple of games in the sale. Soon I'll finally be able to say I've played Braid, lol.

Also, does anyone have Pure Chess for PS4? Looking for people to play with.

Yes to US acc on JP vita, yes to having the same account on both (they cant get online at the same time, tho) and "in a way" to swapping accounts (you have to reset your Vita each time you want to change the account, so it's not as simple as simply logging in/out).

I started playing Amazing Spider-Man on Vita. This... certainly is something.

It's like all the textures were compressed into GIFs.

lol, damn. That's PSP quality, and I'm talking about that Spiderman PSP game that came out near the PSP launch.

I actually have it (got it for $10). Is the game fun? I wouldn't mind the visuals if the gameplay is at least decent.

Wow...the game just looks, so bad :(. The Vita can do much better than that and Sony even paid for this port :l. At least the game is still open world and the Vita has some form of Spider-man on it but...its just horrid the game looks that bad :(.

I hope the gameplay is fun at least; if its somewhat close to Spider-man 2, then the crappy visuals aren't a deal breaker then.

Source?

Why else would this game come so late to the Vita compared to the other versions? I don't have an exact source, but I recall some Gaffer here stating that Amazing Spider-Man alongside other 'odd' ports are landing to Vita. Sorry I don't have the exact link :(.

It also helps that Sony Pictures produces these movies, so it would make since for them to push a game based of their own film to a Sony platform.

Yeah, the gameplay itself is surprisingly decent (combat's fun!) It's just... pretty much the worst looking port I've seen on the Vita so far. The resolution looks so much worse than even Need for Speed Most Wanted.

But it's fun to screenshot.

Didn't even realize this sale was on. Had 2.50$ in the wallet and bit on Retro City Rampage, and When Vikings Attack. Played a couple levels of Retro City, I think it's worth the 99$ haven't tried Vikings yet..... whats the word on this one Gaf?

So just your speculation, ok. I don't think Sony paid for a shitty port of a shitty old movie tie in (exaggerated, I haven't played it).
Can't recall famousmortimer saying this and he was pretty much the only insider who threw the Vita a bone once in a while.
There may be some deal in connection with something else but I wouldn't really call that 'paying' for it. Also, Sony Pictures and SCE don't really cooperate and if they would want to push a Spidey game on Sony platforms, where the fuck is Amazing Spiderman 2 on the Vita?

Remember playing a demo of it a while back at GameStops Vita Station and thought it was fun :). You throw all kind of objects at Vikings, the controls felt good from what I remembered, and the game looked great on Vita. Defently worth a buck :).

Good point...shame this port looks so bad visually though :(.

I'm wondering though, if they put the effort to bring ASM 1 to Vita, why not do the same for ASM2? I'm sure now that they have the engine running and (hopefully) are more experienced with the Vita hardware, they could do a good job bringing the sequel to Vita :).

The singleplayer campaign is monotonous as the core gameplay is very simple. I would say it is a multiplayer game anyway and like to compare it to something like Bomberman. The gameplay is easy to pick up and fun, good players can use some tricks to have an advantage but the overall chaos will ensure even casual players winning some rounds.
I liked the humour and art style of the game.

Crossbuy with PS3, couch and online coop and competitive modes. You should get it at $1, it's a no-brainer. I am biased though because the gameplay is essentially from PoyPoy, one of my PS1 favorites.

Thanks guys I'll give it a rip for a buck...bomberman was my thing back in the day. Turbo with the multitap and bomberman 93 or was it 94? either way I'm down for some multiplayer.

It doesnt matter for everyday shooter. You can only shoot in 4 directions so it is very playable on vita since you just remap the face buttons to the right stick
