Did Ridley get announced?
The way Ridley's shadow was flying says to me that he will be playable.
The joke was born deadAnd a joke is truly dead when you explain it.
wow,way to storm over an error made on a language is not even my native one XD
Ridley fans should just give up.
.It's you guys that keep drive-by posting those "Ridley fans are all delusionals" messages, we just reply back.
Well, they were bound to try it sooner or later. Hopefully fans send the right message...ah, who I am I kidding. It will be a huge success. With Mario Golf having a season pass and day one DLC... I'm beginning to worry about Smash guys. I don't like where Nintendo is going.
.
DLC should be done to extend a game's lifespan. Day one DLC is poison for the industry.
I'd willingly buy a DLC pack with more characters, items and stages after one year or so since the game released.
It really is a problem. That just means that the company dices out parts of the game and says "this part of the development is now DLC". I don't care if numbers get sliced so there's a separate budget. It is still cutting content from the game.Nothing wrong with day 1 DLC if the main game is complete and the DLC had a separate budget allocated to it.
Of course there's no way Smash will get day 1 DLC when they're probably going flat out just to get the base game ready for release this year.

Booo.Character DLC for Smash is a great idea, because it comes with potential balance patches thanks to continual funding.
IIRC, Sakurai is anti-DLC, though, so don't count on it.

That said, I would buy a Season Pass for Smash Bros day 1 DLC without even thinking about it. I am part of the problem here.
Why not allocating that DLC budget to the main game then, if DLC is going to be ready at launch anyway? I stand my point.

Where did Sakurai say he's anti-DLC?
I thought he wanted to update brawl after development, but the Wii didn't really have the storage for it? Then again, that could all be BS too.
Everyone has their off days. It seems today is Majukun's off day lol.

I'd willingly buy a DLC pack with more characters, items and stages after one year or so since the game released. Basically an expansion pack, like we had for strategy games in the '90.

Despite the fact that I like your gif for first two times but could you save that gif only for Metroid and Ridley related updates please?
Why the hell is one post a day out of hundreds pissing people off so much lol![]()
I wonder if there will be similar stages in the Wii U version. They could update that Mario Bros. stage or make a Pac-Man stage.
EatChildren made a pretty great post on the matter in that thread and given what you're getting for the price asked I'd say it isn't bad. Certain titles from Nintendo are definitely suited to be vehicles for DLC and as long as it's priced properly and truly additional content, I don't see an issue with it.
DLC is an absolutely fine concept when priced right and conservative Nintendo exclusive gamers will come to understand and appreciate this if Nintendo doesn't screw over their customers. $15 for 108 holes across six "courses" alongside new characters sounds fine to me. Less fine if (when) the price is hiked locally on my end of the world. But affordable nonetheless, with what sounds like a lot of content.
As Valve has argued many games are better suited to "services" instead of isolated products. Games like Mario Golf perfectly fit this, evolving in available content for the end user instead of locked to content with a single release, the only alternative to release entirely new bulk versions of the games. Content evolution from a single product instead of endless sequels. The balance that must be struck is content in the initial release with affordability and perceived value of upgrades/expansion/DLC. But it can and, under the right leadership, should be done.
For example, much like Mario Golf give me a Mario Kart that has me playing new tracks with new characters, with my friends locally and online, 12+ months after release. Keep me coming back. Keep evolving the product.
I think that's the joke - it's not a Metroid/Ridley update
I know it's joke but it's not funny if we are going to see the gif for next 30 to 90 days!
It's not supposed to be funny, it's supposed to be soul-crushing.;_;
Alright, my friend just told me that there is a rumor that release date for Smash Bros 3DS would be Aug 15. He warned me to take the rumor with a grain of salts tho. Basically, it will be on Friday which sound right for most of regions, so I'm curious with the fact that we might receiving the release date announcement at E3.
For people who are Ridley fans, I can see that.
Since we just got the announcement for Mario Golf DLC - would you be ok with DLC in SSB4?
If yes - what kind of DLC, If no - why not?
I think day one DLC is them trying to solve the 3DS's software sticker shock problem.
Cheaper base game, DLC, then five dollars or so of post-launch DLC.
It's almost at the end of summer haha. Classes start like a week and a half after that.I wasn't serious.
August 15th sounds nice, they're going for a Summer release and that's the epitome of Summer.

Hmmm, not where I live.
I mean, depending on where you live, August is either the end of summer or the end of winter, calling it the epitome of summer is a stretch either way.Hmmm, not where I live.

Where did you friend hear this at?
