Damn the new Pac-Man is scary.
Although it wouldn't surprise me if he is playable, I don't think he will be.
Intentionally gimped character? Link is the Dan of Smash.
I knew it was bad when I saw his running animation. Still the funniest fucking thing ever.
What's more, regarding Link, it's kinda hilarious playing Project M and realizing that Link can never ever be just OK. It's either he's shit tier as hell or oppressive as fuck.
Have you seen Ganondorf's animations? Awe-inducing they ain't.Yeah. I know.
I'm not sure if I'd consider Ganondorf the Dan of Smash considering that Sakurai didn't intentionally make him a joke character...or did he. We'll find out when he's revealed for U and 3DS.

Greatest Of All Time
But but he takes out his sword and does nothing with it!Have you seen Ganondorf's animations? Awe-inducing they ain't.
He's a joke to Sakurai
He runs while panting... "Uff uff uff!"- Sakurai on Ganondorf
Then you're doing it wrong. Bayonetta is 1000x more interesting than Pacman, and a natural choice for a brawler like SSBros.
But but he takes out his sword and does nothing with it!
lmao
Sakurai will fix this. We gotta believe.
Agreed. Pac-Man is a legend. He would fit right at home in Smash.I'll take Pac-Man over the character that has barely any relevance to Nintendo, barely any history at all, and would probably have to have her character sacrificed to even fit (no getting naked from hair attacks, probably no overly sexual poses or bullets).

Toon Ganondorf can be a bossOdd when in WW he can jump 10 feet in the air while twirling around. Oh right, that's Toon Ganondorf.
Sounds appropriate considering how much better Toon Link is when compared to regular Link.Odd when in WW he can jump 10 feet in the air while twirling around. Oh right, that's Toon Ganondorf.

Everyone's getting buffs. Ganondorf's going to stay the same but with half the power.
Also, yup Joke character. From the Dojo

Mechanically, she'd be amazing. Her SSB version would have such a rich moveset to draw from. To me, gameplay is the highest priority. Pacman would make a fine assist trophy.I'll take Pac-Man over the character that has barely any relevance to Nintendo, barely any history at all, and would probably have to have her character sacrificed to even fit (no getting naked from hair attacks, probably no overly sexual poses or bullets).
I still believe. Just you guys wait until he's revealed with an entirely different moveset.

Woah did I miss the surprise direct with these guys?leaving out a highly demanded character for no LEGIT reason at all = does not make any sense business wise at all. West got what little mac and that''s pretty much it when japan got shulk, paletania chorus men. Also it's very childish to make fun of someone on the forum, how about contributing some CONSTRUCTIVE post.
This too.The West also got Shulk, Palutena, and Chorus Men. The first two are also highly requested characters in the West, and the while the Chorus Men weren't requested anywhere, Rhythm Heaven is popular in both regions. You might as well be saying "Japan got Ike" about Brawl.
Odd when in WW he can jump 10 feet in the air while twirling around. Oh right, that's Toon Ganondorf.
I knew this was coming. ZSS's whip and rocket boots are cute but Bayonetta's arsenal dwarfs hers. She's got a ridiculous array of projectile and melee weapons. Toss in animal transformations and time altering mechanics and...yeah.Zero Suit Samus
In OoT he can fly. In TP he's an agile swordsman who can teleport... And probably fly.

A console game stage being exclusive to the 3DS? And one I actually wanted on both systems, damn. Oh well.
So all we have to do is wait for SSB6, where we'll get a Ridley look-alike with a diagonal fireball.I predict Ridley will be the SF2 Shen Long of SSB4.
Talonflame wouldn't be a problem. It's all in how you design him. Simply have him float in place at one side of the stage, giving players ample opportunity to leap up and hit him, dealing damage (not unlike how Yellow Devil stands in place before moving). Then he divebombs a few times, making passes at the opponents below, before floating in place on the other side of the stage.I think they'd work better as hazards than bosses... Talonflame would be ridiculously hard to hit with its size and speed. Maybe it would work better if you replace it with Pyroar. Aegislash's gimmick also might not work that well in a non-turn-based game.
I do love the idea of their strongest Pokemon attacking the fighters. I'd love more stage hazards in Smash 4 with the option to turn certain ones on and off.
Now that Nintendo announced a Season Pass for Mario Golf and all the DLC is DONE already I fear for Smash...
Why do you think he became the evil mastermind in SSE? He wanted to take revenge on Smash Bros for making him so weak. Now that I think about it, you can really make a strong case for Ganondorf being a joke character. Between his running animation, the sword, Sakurai's dojo comments, and even stuff like how his aerials give more lag when he makes contact with the ground...
Maybe it's some kind of joke? Like to contrast with how he's like this evil mastermind in SSE?

Aside from being Malva's strongest Pokémon, Talonflame should also get priority as one of the most popular Pokémon in use in competitive Pokémon.
Is everyone somehow forgetting that the game was delayed for about a year? This just explains what they've been doing.

If that's why why not put the courses in the game? You don't delay a game to make DLC.
Malva's room -- Talonflame:
Wikstrom's room -- Aegislash:
Drasna's room -- Noivern:
Siebold's room -- Barbaracle:
Diantha's room -- Mega Gardevoir:

You don't employ a team for over a year without some way to pay the bills.
Lack of 3DS releases for the first half of 2014. It's pretty much the same reason DKCTF got delayed. The game wasn't delayed for fun. DLC was just finished before the game released.
That's not... how it works... You don't delay a game for DLC, if the game is done you release it and then do DLC later. You don't just delay a game to make DLC so you can keep paying the team, you move them onto DLC and move everyone else onto a new game.

If that's so it makes a little more sense, but they shoulda spent the time making courses for the base game, not DLC.

The game already has more courses than any other Mario Golf. If the majority of the game was done but still had enough time between release to develop this content outside of the budget of the base game, they took that opportunity.
It was never going to just be freely added to the base game, it costs money to develop twice as much content.

but he doesn't fly in that game
video games, enemies can't use their full powers or they'd destroy you in earlygame
It's scummy, they are selling a season pass for future content that was finish before the game was released. For all we know it might even be on the cart which would mean we are looking at a Street Fighter X Tekken situation where a massive amount of the content is locked behind a pay wall.
Season Passes alone are gross, but this is even worse.
