She's good looking but man do I hate really short hair on women, it kills it for me. Even the pixie cut is just too short for my preference. She'd look amazing with long hair.
 
By page 3 we'll be (Yet again) having "discussion" about how black women are less "feminine looking" then we'll have people post pictures of some straight busted ass lookin chicks.

Or it's just an aesthetic preference, of which humans have many. There's nothing here that requires your psychoanalysis.

Why is this even so bad? I like women with short hair (it's actually a strong preference for me), but her hair is very short compared to most women and everyone has a preference. IMO she's attractive but I find her hair too short as well and I personally would prefer something slightly above shoulder level.

She's absolutely gorgeous and has really great skin. Not sure why people would see the need to meltdown.

She's not your 'type'? So what? Still doesn't take away that she looks good.

You mean like Scarjo in The Avengers? That was definitely her best haircut in her 3 Marvel films so far lol
 
I'm not that surprised. Her face looks almost perfectly symmetrical and her skin is flawless. It helps that she has terrific fashion sense too.
 
Obviously the real short hair thing is a western trend. I've spent time in Nairobi, and Luo bias aside, the women in media(news, and even dramas) usually had( a lot) more hair than Lupita.

You mean plain looking with awful short hair that make her forehead look huge? Not many times and for a reason. Or do you mean black? Because if they wanted to nominate someone black it should have been Rihanna, she's a Goddess.

Also in general just because this particular choice is pretty rare (in that she's black and has very short hair) doesn't mean that people can't disagree. If someone posts that they don't find her attractive it's not a travesty.

Exactly, She is someone who has truly dark skin, someone who isn't afraid to keep her hair the way she was born with it, not making it straighter to appeal to in many ways white beauty ideal that has been constructed as the be all end all for what constitutes beautiful.
 
Lupita is beautiful for sure, though what makes her most appealing to me is the fact that her personality seems to match her outer beauty.

Hopefully all this new found fame doesn't get to her head.

Power of hair is fierce! She would be absolute stunner with different hair style, I'm not against short hair but many women can't pull the short hair look, she is one of those who can't make it work.
 
These short hair comments. I like black women with short hair don't see it enough. Certainly ain't helping black women's image of themselves.

I don't get the hate for short hair. It really depends on the person but it can be both cute and sexy and is definitely adventurous and more interesting to me in a bland sea of medium length, straight hair with highlights. In this case, is short hair a case of the beard effect (that study that found the rarity of facial hair determined its relative attractiveness)?

Pixie cuts and the like are very attractive, I really like Lupita's hair and enjoyed when Emma Watson wore it short as well. I realize it's not to everyone's taste but bleh, why limit yourself to just one vanilla hairstyle when there are so many out there that look great?
