Cyborg Cast for Man of Steel Sequel

Even Variety's story says Cyborg won't be a major part of the film. He's probably only going to be in the football thing they filmed and maybe one or two other scenes. We won't actually see "Cyborg" till the JLA movie.

Superman - done
Batman - done to death
Lex - done
Wonder Woman - this will be her introduction
Cyborg - minor role to establish him in Universe

Whats the problem here? Thats only 1 important hero that really needs to be established atm.

I see your point regarding Batman, I think he can work as an existing hero, but Superman? MoS didn't even establish the classic Clark Kent identity until the final scene. Luthor? He hasn't appeared yet in this universe, and this take will no doubt be radically different from the Hackman/Spacey version.

Hilarious that they are making the superman sequel basically a full blown justice league movie. This movie is going to suck balls.

Not bad. Unknown, but looks the part -- pretty much what you'd expect from a Cyborg casting.

This is clearly a move with the future in mind. Justice League is coming.

Bad news is this movie will be bloated, good news is that DC probably won't replace Hal Jordan with boring John Stewart for the team roster now. DC will also be beating Marvel in team diversity!

Iron Man 2 & 3(Rhodey didn't do anything in 1)
Thor 1 & 2
Winter Soldier.

And we both know Black Panther will come out 2 decades before DC/WB think a black lead superhero movie can work.

Yknow, if they go the "world building" route, this could actually go pretty well. Assuming they don't give any of these characters any major screentime and keep the focus on Supes and Batsy.

DC and WB beat Mahvel to the punch a long time ago!

Blade was black. He came to the world in the 90s.

Blade was also better than most of the Marvel and DC movies that have released in the past decade as most of them are pretty mediocre.

What I don't understand is why not just go with a straight up MoS 2 with just Superman. Sprinkle a minor hero here and there but it bugs me a bit that they didn't go through with just a straight sequel but instead putting in batman and friends.

I know it's been talked to death but man....

I expect this to be nothing more than a cameo. I just hope this doesnt mean Cyborg is going to be in the JLA over Martian Manhunter, but judging by the way DC has been pushing him recently, I fear that might be the case. Cyborg is probably one of the only characters I dislike because of this.

People would complain *He means MCU films!*

Blade is top tier but Marvel has about 4 films above it. DC 1.

Because MoS wasn't that successful and a Superman/Batman crossover movie is more interesting and eye-catching that another solo movie with either character.

DC think Superman is boring. Some audiences agree with that for some reason. Now he has to be tough and introspectve, and not just the good guy that instinctively puts himself between a gun and innocents.

Doesn't count because it came out before 2000. Thems the rules.
It's not a big deal, but I recently realized that Cyborg's creation predates awesome robots like The Terminator and Robocop. Cyborg could be those guys if not better!

Hell nah, most Marvel movies have been bad. Sure as hell ain't 4 of those movies above Blade. The opening sequence of Blade alone is better than the entirety of the shit that made up the two Thor movies, Captain America and Iron Man 2.

I meant more of Avengers vs. JLA team lineups, but yeah. Not to mention Rhodes and Heimdall are cooler than Cyborg.

Pretty much. Even as a big Supes fan, I'd be hard pressed to get excited for the, what, 7th solo Superman flick.

Sad but true. Sad but true. *hugs copy of Superman: Birthright and All Star Superman tightly*

Opening sequence to Blade is AMAZING!

Avengers
Winter Soldier
Iron Man 1 & 3

Are all better.

I wonder if they're ballsy enough to throw Aquaman in there

I know fellow comics readers will jump to his defense saying that he's been made cool again, but... they're wrong

So will he actually be Cyborg or just Victor Stone in this flick? Maybe just have the character of Victor setup ready and then have him become Cyborg in a proper JL film or maybe even a solo flick.

Are they going to throw the whole Justice League in this movie? I'm not sure about this movie now. All I need to see is Batman's Costume, I hope its cool and not Batnipples like George Clooney's.

There have been 6 high profile Superman films since the late 70s, multiple live-action TV shows (the most recent of which was a ten year long origin story), and countless animated versions.

People know who Superman is.

They're establishing the universe. Any superhero that's cast at this point will probably have a minor role in BvS, laying the groundwork for a bigger presence in the following movies.

Yeah this movie should just be called Justice League at this rate.

Justice League Begins

Another casting continues to beg the question...why won't they confirm The Rock? Is he just full of shit?

Also was Jason Momoa ever confirmed or was that also a rumor?

I agree with this man.

Momoa's a rumor. He's denied involvement, but I get the feeling he's playing it off... If so, Aquaman makes the most sense as a surprise cameo, I think.

Huh. I don't follow the development of this movie, but it was first a Man of Steel sequel then it was Superman vs Batman and then there's Wonder Woman then there's Cyborg? Sounds like they're hastily establishing a movie universe if you ask me. Still interesting, though.

Does the Snyderverse know who Superman is, though? MoS didn't really establish how he operates as a superhero in that universe, and I would think that deserves some breathing room before bringing in Batman and Wonder Woman.

Then again, judging by how MoS handled the Clark Kent identity and his relationship with Lois, I'm not sure Snyder/Goyer would ever have done much with the classic Superman MO.

I think bringing in Batman could help establish who Superman is in this universe. They are going with an older Batman for a reason. As for WW, this will likely be an intro. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't even see her or Cyborg in costume or referred to as heroes of any kind.
