According to Batman-News.com

Jason Momoa has been linked to Batman vs. Superman since late last year. Since then, Momoa has denied having any involvement in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel. He even told MTV’s Josh Horowitz that he could punch him in the face if the rumors were true. Well… it looks like Josh Horowitz gets to punch Jason Momoa in the face!

According to my source, Momoa signed the dotted line and joined the Batman vs. Superman cast a couple of months ago. There’s no word yet on who Momoa will be playing, but previous rumors have tied him to Aquaman. I’m labeling this as a rumor for now, but I feel that this information is accurate based on who I got it from.

Jason Momoa should have been a Terminator instead. Dude is not a very good actor but the same goes for Schwarzie and he was obviously great in those movies.

So it's a Justice League movie after all right ? Fuck this shit. Superman deserved his own sequel after MoS (yh I liked the movie, sue me!).

I've said before that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is the only king of the seas I'll bend the knee to and I stand by that. However, Mamoa wouldn't be a bad pick. Looks-wise, at least.

Assuming that's who he's playing...and assuming this is true.

Khal Drogo is the Seahorse that Mounts the World.

edit: is Batman-News.com the only source for this? Because that is not the most solid of sources.

I thought Man of Steel was supposed to be a more realistic Superman. How are they going to switch it and make it plausible, with all these other superheroes?

It's scary to think that Warner Bros is making a Justice League movie considering how ridiculously challenging such a project is (especially without introductory solo movies), and their track record with superheroes.

I really wouldn't care if they want to do a Justice League without the Marvel style of build up. It's just that Man of Steel showed ZERO signs of this happening. All it hinted at was Lex Luthor being the next villain.

I think it was meant to make a more relatable Superman, haven't seen it personally so not sure if it succeeded or not.

How is it so challenging?

They introduced 7 superheroes in a 22 minute cartoon almost a decade ago with absolutely no problems.

It was called Justice League, and it was one of the best adaptations of the DC Universe that's ever been.

The idea that you need solo movies to explain something as basic and well-understood as the concept of a superhero is weird.

My hypothesis.

Since the movie is titled Batman Vs Superman. They are going to throwdown in a epic fashion and the only way to keep them from killing each other is to have other JLA members show up and pry them apart.

After Superman revealed himself to the world, everyone else wanted to be a super alien too. So the government, Lex, and Wayne develop the alien technology in an arms race where cyborgs and exosuits become a thing.

Hopefully in this movie it focuses on Batman/Superman and the rest of the supers are prepped for another sequel

Anyway I'm all for this. Superhero movies especially DC was made for ensemble casts

This is getting ridiculous, how many superheroes are in this film now?

Three. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are the only characters confirmed to be costumed heroes in the movie. We don't know what capacity Vic Stone/Cyborg is in the movie, and we don't know if Mamoa is in the movie at all as this is only a rumor.

Every piece of news that comes out of this film strengthens my belief this will be disappointing. There doesn't seem to be any clarity in where this film is headed

Yeah the mere mention of them as a rumor is kind of crappy. Let's hope this is a rumor because establishing such big characters in a possible 120 minute movie would suck.
