US PSN: Golden Week Sale Celebrates Japanese Games

I'm getting Muramasa for sure.

There's another $60 in stuff I want from this sale, but I don't know if I'm going to go for it this week.

For anyone who is going to be adding funds, I am selling a 20 dollar US PSN voucher for face value internationally and 18 local US.

Is it bad that I want to pick up Atelier Meruru Plus when I've barely even played about an hour of Atelier Totori Plus?

Has P4G ever been cheaper than $15? I kinda wanna get it because everyone says it's amazing, but I just bought Ground Zeroes and am still chugging along through FFX|X-2 so if it will be on sale for this amount or cheaper in the future I'll hold off

No, and it probably won't until Dancing All Night and Persona 5 come around.

I'm still waiting for it to get cheaper. I already paid for it once on PS2.

I can see it at least hitting the same discount over the summer (assuming there's a big sale) and getting down to $10 by year's end

ITT, we get to see Steam sale virgins who think $10 games are cheap. =)

But they are getting better, couple titles I might consider picking up.

It's just a different mindset. $10 isn't cheap on Steam, but it is cheap on PSN. If you go into PSN sales with the mentality of Steam sales, you'd never buy anything

So after going and looking at stuff I want, I chose:

Armored Core - $5
Devil May Cry - $9
P4G - $14.62
Saint Seiya - $15
Tales of Symphonia - $10
Ys - $19.59
ZoE - $10.49

That's $80+ for 7 games. I know these are good games, but I don't think I can justify dropping that kind of dosh. I'll probably get ToS and Armored Core and that'll be it. I'm a Steam sale veteran. I can wait even until they are even lower.

It's a digital platform, things will only get cheaper as time goes on. I expect there to be a summer sale too (hopefully) where you'll see comparable or better prices. Anything you're not burning for you can hold off on

If anyone wants to own a physical copy of ZoE HD Collection, Amazon currently has new copies of the game for $11.98 with Prime shipping

So, GAF, is ToS worth picking up for someone who has never played it? I heard the PS3 port was meh.

Aside from 30FPS and there being the occasional spelling mistake in the dialogue I personally didn't find the port to be meh.

Tales of Symphonia is easily a 45 - 50 hour game for the main story alone, it is well worth $10 even if you never play ToS2. It was my first Tales game I played to completion and I loved it.

Tales of Symphonia HD 10 dollars already? Guess I can just keep my Collector's Edition sealed then. :D

Soul Calibur V for 5 is worth it as well.

Is the Hyperdimension Neptunia game worth getting if I haven't played any of them before?

Considering how much it MGS vita sells for now, buying it for that price digitally is an obvious choice for me. Lots of good games on sale.

I've never legitimately owned Chrono Trigger so I'll buy that as well as Chrono Cross. I would buy MGR but I feel like it's definitely coming to PS+ at some point in the future. The Chrono games are for sure. Right now I'm trying to decide on two games between Metal Gear HD, Time and Eternity, Devil May Cry HD, and Zone of Enders HD. I really love Bayonetta so I'm leaning towards DMCHD.

Nice sale!!

Gonna grab Rain, TOS ($10! lol), Armored Core and Soul Calibur V (finally).

How is Time and Eternity? I generally like jrpgs....

How is persona 4 compared to persona 3? I played P3 portable on PSP several years ago and I couldn't get into it. After 10 hours of only climbing up Taurus I have up. I hear that P4 Golden is great but I don't want another P3 (unless I was playing it wrong).

I put in about 25 hours into P3P before I gave up. I really hated Tartarus. I reluctantly bought P4G when it first went on sale last year for $20 and I really enjoyed it. The dungeons still get tedious towards the end but it is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than the garbage in p3p. It's still randomly generated, but they're shorter and they feel like they're more significant to the story. P4G also has a lot more social/story to balance out the dungeon crawling unlike P3P

Better and the definitive version. Not watered down and enhanced vs 3's change of design vs the console version. The whole story is there in P3P but it's not 1:1 to the console release.

How big is the Vita MGS Collection? I need to figure out what I'll need to delete to make space for it.

After last week's compatibility fuck up, I filled up my memory card with PSone games.

Persona 4 is one of the best damn games I've ever played. I put 120 hours into it (2 playthroughs for the platinum trophy), and I was genuinely sad when I was finished, because I wanted to experience more with that cast of characters.

P4G's dungeons are much better than Tartarus. They're no example of great, but they are miles better and miles more easily tolerated.

I own Rorona, Totori and Meruru for PS3, and Totori+ for PSV. I haven't played any of them, and I'm still considering getting Meruru+ and Ayesha. I know EVENTUALLY I'll play them.

I want to get Muramasa, any kind soul with a 7 days or whatever of free plus :(
