I'd get ZoE's if it was $9.99, but it isn't. So I'm passing this time. Relay that to Konami and Sony.

Otherwise I'm getting Hot Shots Golf to get VIP treatment/be able to join lobbies past their limit and Soul Calibur 5 since Lost Swords terrible F2P outing made me want to pick up Ezio's cameo outing.
 
I want to start the Metal Gear Solid franchise, but unfortunately the HD collection does not include the first game. Should I just wait to get the Legacy Collection? Oh, and I already own MGS4 (came with my PS3) but have not started it yet. If I do get the HD collection, I won't be getting the Vita version as it oddly enough doesn't include Peace Walker. Also, is it necessary for me to play the Metal Gear games? How about Portable Ops, as that is not included in any of these collections?
 
Great sale. I'm wondering if I should buy the MGS HD Vita for $8.99 even though I have an unopened copy for PS3. I believe the Vita version is pretty hard to find nowadays without paying above MSRP on amazon. Too bad you can't just buy the games separately, I'd definitely pony up $5 for MGS 3 on its own.

Try to get the legacy collection, because it comes with both MGS and VR Missions + hte others (and trophy-patched MGS4!).

Metal Gear 1 and 2 are good games to play but aren't entirely necessary. Portable Ops you can just read a summary of or something...
 
I'm gonna post this here too. Asked in the MGS HD Community OT but it isn't seeing much action.

With the digital version of the MGS HD collection on PSN, does it split the games up into their own downloads (i.e. each game can launch on its own), or is it a package deal ala the disc version?

The OCD in me has all my games in their own folders in the XMB menu.

Golden Week only lasts for a week though >__> I don't see how this promotion could last longer than this week. Could be that he got confused since the blog post mentions there being 4 different holidays.

This is the correct answer.

It seems I just saved $10 by deciding not to buy DBZ : Battle Of Z. Thanks to an uninspiring demo, horrid reviews, and a complete dearth of GAF impressions. Now, what else to buy? Rebuying MGS HD sounds nice. That means I'll own MGS2 4 times and MGS3 3 times. I'm always down for Platinuming MGS3 again. That, and the relatively small file size helps (4GB for both).

OR, I could get Tales of Symphonia. Which has some amazing star power behind it between Jennifer Hale, Tara Strong, Crispin Freeman, Johnny Bosch, and Laura Bailey. Jeez, they even have Wendee Lee in there for a small role. So apparently, this is the best casted game since Persona 4...

Also, one of the Atelier games. It's entirely possible I'll just flip a coin because of a lack of a definitive answer.
 
Am I reading that wrong? ToS came out waaaay before P4.

I wouldn't even compare ToS' dubs to P4's. The former is just better :/

Golden is the better game. ToS and its sequel have some really shitty characters along with cool dudes like Kratos. Collette in particular is beyond redeeming.
 
Really, really ready to buy Chrono Cross for my Vita. I wish the PS4 played PSone games and there was an easy way to transfar saves from Vita to PS4.

Can you do that very easily with the PS3?

Through Content Manager, yeah. Very easy to transfer game saves over between the systems.
 
I'm getting Muramasa and probably MGS Vita collection. I really want the Atelier Vita ports, but that price is way higher than I'm willing to pay for a digital version. I'm still bummed they didn't go retail.
 
That's a crazy price for ToSC, people should definitely get it if they've been on the fence.

I'll be getting Chrono Cross and Armored Core myself.
 
How bad is the Chrono Trigger port? Long load times or something, right? I do like that game, it'd might be worth it to have with me since I don't carry my DS anymore.

Also for those in America, what time is the sale likely to go live?

I don't remember it being that bad when I played it 10 years ago. Then again I was a lot younger.

I've read that it's bad, very bad (the loading times)
which is a bummer :/ since I much prefer to play on the Vita

Load times are horrendously terrible and distract from the game. I couldn't go from my beautiful SNES version to the PS1 trash even with the cut scenes
 
Will be picking up:

Tales of Symphonia HD - 10
DB: Battle of Z PS3 - 15
Armored Core Verdict Day - 5

Waiting for PS+ IGC
Rain - Just feels like it'll be added at some point.
Muramasa - Was just free in Europe, can afford to wait if we get it.
Danganrompa - Virtue's Last Reward made it to IGC, Would be nice if this did too.

On the Cusp
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory - If this is my first game in the series, is this worth getting?
