A twisted part of me wants to see this happen just to see players and coaches (and other owners) put their money where their mouth is. Will doc Rivers really walk away from his huge contract? Wil Chris Paul demand a trade? Will opposing players like LeBron sit out road games against the Clipps in protest?
 
Not enough...He should (at the least) be outright banned from the league. It'll be interesting to see how the Clippers handle this...If I were there, I might have played pending a resolution but with this ruling, I simply wouldn't play.

$5 million fine for a man whose net worth is almost 2 billion??? That's some NBA level trolling...

He's going to have the sell team, but the NBA can't force him into selling the team. They have to get him on their side so he won't sue, it's a weird balancing act that they'll have to manage.

Just saw this on the NFL thread. IF this is his punishment it's a slap on the wrist and laughable. One of his family members will take over, and it will be business as usual.
 
I kind of agree with Cuban. I don't think he should be forced to sell the team.

What I would prefer is that every player and coach be given the choice to enter free agency. It would destroy Sterling in a way that I feel is most fair to everyone involved.
 
Well they can't force him to sell the team no matter what bullshit NBA is reporting to get more hits. Best they can do is ban him from games for a year and fine him a $1,000,000. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't 1 million the maximum fine which can be imposed?

edit: I guess the 1 million is not correct.

As a Lakers fan I was hoping all the players would be allowed to leave and Blake could just stay in Staples, but under non-racist ownership.

Nothing Cuban said sounds all that ridculous to me. Do you honestly believe that old dude should be forced to sell his billion dollar team based on a private conversation with his nasty ass mistress?

Nope. It's just typical overreaction posts or drive-by posting. Cuban is a owner, of course he isn't going to want things to be that easy to be removed. If that were the case, he could be out for being a outspoken owner.
 
HAHA. Lakers fans still crying about the Paul deal. Sweet salt after all these years. Even if they were made to be free agents, they ain't going to the Lakers. Playing with an aging, broken down rapist and shitty ass role players since Kobe is still hogging up a good deal of cap room.
