-Skye relying on LAPD to arrest Ward. Haha.
-Deathlok seems to have a variant of the Black Widow electric thingy from Cap 2.
-Lola flies past two nice hotels and they still end up at a cheap motel?
-Pretty inelegant way to notify the team that Ward is Hydra. But I guess once they found Koenig it was inevitable.
-Since when did US special forces have jurisdiction to waltz onto Canadian soil?
-Ward can't override the cargo ramp opening from the cockpit?
-Where's May's mom? :(

- If only ward was black. They have capped his ass on sight
-
-
- Black OPs i guess?
- Is still Coulson plane though. Maybe he has some priority even in the bus systems
- Chilling out with Hill and Potts i guess

Ward is beyond redemption at this point, right? As the body count rises, I just can't see there being a plausible or even semi-explainable scenario to ever get him on the good side of Coulson and team.

Even worst, he just revealed that he is a sexist pig.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?

-She had to know that wouldn't work. Which is why she tried to surrender asap. But seriously LAPD. You have guns.
-Yup. H.Y.D.R.A. tech.
-Just like in real life.
-The letting the picture switch thing was actually really elegant. Relative to other possibilities. I admit, she could've taken the time to write in cursive.
-lol. What's Canada gonna do? Make America apologize?
#ItsAJoke
-I don't think he has a single idea how to do that. Or Coulson did a hard override so it can only be overridden manually. Or something.
-Probably at lunch.
It gets better around 7-10 episodes in.
This would make a lot of the Simmons/H.Y.D.R.A. Interactions strange in retrospect, especially her apprehension towards Triplett.
Just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean it can't happen. #TV. And it would make some of the Simmons/H.Y.D.R.A. interactions make sense in retrospect. My DVR just got wiped so I can't really look but she's run into at least one situation where all she did in the face of confusion and conflict was nothing.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
The trip/ftizsmmons thing is fun but always kind of makes me laugh at how much it's like Angel. Super hot science girl is wanted by geeky beta white dude and macho alpha black dude, starts gravitating towards the latter and the former is totally sad and unable to do anything about it.

If this means Fitz becomes as badass as Wesley, though, I'm all for it.

Thought it was a great episode. The Skye/Ward scenes were perfectly tense and uncomfortable. Especially when she starts spilling in the diner how "he should feel" about Garrett. And when she starts calling him a nazi over and over.

For how shitty his design his Deathlok has been given an interesting position of having to be a lacky, but still finding ways to subvert his programming enough to show that Michael is still there. He refuses to hurt Skye, but has no issues hurting Ward. If he dies, he gives her what she wants. And his little "fuck you" to Ward about "just following orders" later kinda further demonstrated that.

I don't like the implications for Simmons' eventual fate in this comparison...

Skye's hair when they landed was pretty hilarious. Loved that scene. Was really craving some more Lola action all season long.

That part got a good hearty laugh out of me.

I also thought Skye did a great job during her scene in the diner.
Those cops had to be from Starling City though, there is no way L.A. Cops wouldn't have shot first and explained away any faults later.

I think Ward's too far down the hole to be redeemed, but I could see him splinter off away from Garrett/HYDRA and SHIELD.

He's clearly having some loyalty issues with how Garrett ordered Deathlok to almost kill him.

Man-Thing namedrop makes us one step closer to Howard the Duck in the MCU. Now that's a redemption I want to see, make up for the 80's movie.

In season 2: Ward snaps and takes off. Starts seeing a "Head Duck" that sardonically taunts him about his father issues and how he screwed everyone over.

I don't really care about trip, but I really can't see them executing a redemption arc for Ward that will actually be interesting and satisfying. It's fairly obvious they are already setting up him being conflicted and starting to have doubts in his loyalty to Garrett, especially considering how next week's ep seems to be focusing on that relationship. If all it takes is Garrett trying to kill Skye (again) for Ward to ditch Hydra, that will be pretty fucking silly.

On the other hand, they could leverage that into having Ward suffer exposure to some weird tech/chemical that turns him into Taskmaster. No longer in Hydra, hated by SHIELD, becomes a super soldier of fortune, that also gets paid to train people, because we all know how much he loves being an SO.

You're out of your mind if you think ward should have a redemption. NO. He's far beyond that. He should go the old yeller route.

Ward isn't loyal to hydra and actually liked the team. He's not diabolically evil nor a hardcore HYDRA agent. The idea of him turning on HYDRA would make sense if Garett turns on him for whatever reason.

Trip needs to become more interesting. As of now he's not and he feels like an addition not part of the team. Maria Hill seems like a bigger part of the team.

Speaking of Maria she's frickin awesome. I hope Cobie is getting paid.

The show has gotten so much better I'm really happy for it and the cast. If it doesn't get a second season I'll be pissed.

Unfortunately, Garrett's casual use of Ward's life in order to motivate Skye combined with the preview for next week's episode indicates to me that some form of redemption could definitely be on the table.

I REALLY hope there isn't a redemption arc for Ward. He's too far gone, been in deep cover too long as well. There are too many strikes against him for both Skye and Coulson, it would be super lame. Garett will inevitably turn against him because of some act of subordination, but I don't think [the remnants of] S.H.I.E.L.D. will take him back even if he saves their lives.

I'm not sure they could pull off any sort of redemption now as he's killed several innocent police officers and dozens of SHIELD agents.

I mean, if they want to excuse some of it, he'd need to be brainwashed ala the red room, but it doesn't appear to be anything like that.
