Project CARS (crowdsourcing) racing sim by Slightly Mad Studios (fully funded 3.75M)

If it looks and plays great on PS4 (min 720p/60) AND supports my Fanatec then that's the route I'll probably take.

They are targeting 1080p60. As for wheels, situation for that is in Sony's hands. So far only two Thurstmaster wheels are confirmed for DriveClub.

And one made recently with crazy 240x time acceleration:

I took a cruise along California Highway in the Renault Megane RS. Took it slow and I think the vid does a good job at showing off the rainy effects.

I know it's slow and possibly boring, but I hope you enjoy.
Interesting video, thanks for sharing. If anything, I think it shows perfectly what's wrong with the rain setting in Project CARS at the moment Namely: puddles. There're too many of them, they are too large and their positioning doesn't make much sense. They go perpendicular to the road, when they should go along the direction of the road. And, since their positioning is random, they all are created the same; it doesn't matter if the road is climbing a hill or in a plain, a big puddle will be there. I hope they rethink the way rain is at the moment and can make some quality changes.

The WEC race at Silverstone is a prime example of why weather simulation should always be a part of a race simulator.
Ben does need a better (visible colours) pCARS logo for his racing suit ;)

And yeah 100% agree, maybe not for short public server (or p2p) races, but for anything longer than an hour it just adds so much.

This is actually what driving "quickly" on these type roads in real life is like :|

I've driven deal's gap a few times and yeah... you get out of 2nd gear if you're lucky. Still a load of fun though.

Any Wii U or Xbone screens?

I really can't understand who would want a Wii U version of PCars... I have Wii U, I like it. But playing race sim without analog triggers? :X Even arcade race games feel weird that way. It's like playing on your PC keyboard.

I have zero interest in the Wii U version. Just asking because there are quite a few people in this thread wanting the WII U version.

Edit:
No fair! I've been waiting for a single Wii U screenshot since they announced it back in like 2012. :(
Realistically you should set your expectations to about GT6 visuals with slightly better lighting and textures.

I'm not certain how it'll turn out, just really curious how it looks after waiting all this time.

That 240x speed up day, night and weather truly a thing of beauty. THAT was what I always requested for in racing games and I never received it, until now.

Day one purchase for my PC.

It is coming to Steam, infact the closed testing is already happening exclusively on Steam.

Anyone who bought into the game gets it on Steam too, not just testers. They switched from their own updater to Steam about 6 months ago and gave everyone a code for the game on the profile, I've had it on Steam since then.

Today I've tried the FC with the r18-N tires. The car feels amazing. Ben says it feels like the real thing. I don't know if he's right or not, but the car is a blast to drive.
