What's the problem? They aren't a huge company like EA or Ubisoft. You want different games then not only do they make some different games but there is an abundance of different games from every developer in existence.
These guys haven't even perfect their Souls formula and that's kind of exciting. Let's hope the collaboration is as good as we all hope.

Listen, if it wasn't exclusive, I wouldn't care at all. I'm all for everyone having games. But this game is exclusive because Sony is directly involved in making it. And there are benefits worth being excited for that fact. Like that no lesser system is going to be holding back the game technically, for example. That the game can have a clarity of vision established to focus on a specific systems strengths as well.
But most of all, it's apparently by the From Software A team, with the A team director involved, and it looks fucking amazing. It has nothing to do with "Sony bias", it's a hardcore game directed right at the heart of a community of hardcore gamers. We're going to be unashamedly excited, and there's really nothing productive behind adding "wish it was on XBO/PC though!" It would be nice if it had a PC port, but it doesn't matter to me because I understand Sony is helping make this. Since I have a PS4, it is what it is. These are the exclusive games companies make to try to draw them to their system. Do you think the game looks hot? Buy a PS4.

Huh? There's no "massive sony bias." It's the fact that it's supposedly being co-developed by Japan Studio. You think Sony is going to publish a game for PC / Xbox?
Yeah...99.99% chance it's exclusive considering Sony is helping with it.

It's being co-developed with Japan Studio, the same studio that co-developed Demon's Souls.
That means it's a Sony exclusive.
Nothing wrong with wanting the game on PC, so that one's gaming experience can be better. I never understood why some people get mad at people wishing a game was on PC. Is it so hard to get that people want a superior experience that a PC can afford them? It's just not particularly productive since it's unlikely Sony will let that happen

You know, I'd understand the massive fit you're on if it wasn't for the two collaborating for Demons Souls. This isn't a Bayonetta situation in which it was bipartisan and multiplatform in the first and exclusive in the 2nd game. Get over it. Time to buy a Sony Playstation 4.

What about a gritty mech series with deep and rich customization, the market is sure to go all in with that and reward FROM.
Not much hope of this if the rumours of Sony Japan helping with it are true.

If by 'winning E3', you mean what people usually mean, which is something of a majority opinion, most the people who will pay attention to E3 will not own, or not care to own a Wii U, so it doesn't matter what Nintendo announce, they will not generate nearly the excitement the other two will. They will not 'win' E3.
It'll be interesting to see how MS fares, I don't think Sony have it in the bag or anything.

People need to read the whole topic title. It clearly says Japan Studio (a first party Sony developer). It'd be like getting upset at 343 making a Halo game for xbox and not PC/PS4.

because I believe From Software has more in them than dark fantasy RPGs inspired by Berserk and "sometimes we make a mech game". since about 2009 the overwhelming bulk of their output has been either one of these two game types. i'd really like to see them branch out into other genres, other styles of play, OTHER COLOR PALETTES.
believe me, I love their games. i love their design philosophies and their artistic vision. but this Demon's Souls re-hashing is starting to wear a bit thin.
I don't think skyrim openness is moving anything forward or a good thing for that matter. Dark Souls 2 is more "open" but the levels are more "flat like/plains" like skyrim compared to Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Soul's which have mazelike levels and looping. That's a big criticism from people that played Dark Souls 2 including myself. Is it possible to combine both? i'm not sure but what they did for Dark Souls level design was a step back for me.
No other company has successfully made a souls clone so it's the only one we have to rely on to fulfill these experiences. And "sometimes we make a mech game" has been going on since 1997. King Field and games others like it that inspired the souls series since 1994. These types of games are in their the companies blood, don't expect it to stop anytime soon.
Yeah, hopefully the rumours aren't true.
Add Agent in the mix and Sony would have given me my deliverance...
After Persona 5 gives me emancipation earlier in the show of course. (There is no way Persona is getting shown on stage at E3, is there?)
