I asked this in the flash sale thread but is there a way to gift PSN games or are they always just tied to my account? I'd like to give some games away.

If you bought them from the webstore they will be tied to your account. I don't know if Amazon will price match them though. I believe Amazon has partnership with Sony for PSN so an Amazon purchase MIGHT (probably not) give a product code / key.

Hmm, picked up a second vita 1000 earlier in the week and this is the first time I'm having an issue with vertical lines.

This is a direct screen grab.

so this is pretty much a dud right?
I wouldn't say it's a dud. Looks pretty normal to me as far as my experience has been. You definitely play a game of display lottery when you buy a 1000 model. Some screens come out much better or much worse than others. My old 1k unit looked a lot like that, before I sold it for a 2k.

Will all of the DLC be available for BL2 on Vita? (the ones not included)

I'm assuming this is true, but I need to confirm before I consider buying it.

Unfortunately, no. You can buy codes from other sites like Amazon or Gamestop, but that's about it.

you're good people, dupy :>

Picked up both the Atelier games from the golden week sale, and hi I'm new my account just got activated. The wait felt like forever.

Even I fear Sony's TGS 2014 presence will be a PS4 show. SCE took the last two Mays to unveil new Vita IP we'd see more of at TGS. That doesn't appear to be the case this year.

That's a given by now, I think? Considering how Sony neglected the PSP after the PS3 was released.

Vita doesn't have the third party support PSP did so it would be unwise to shift focus, but with comments like this:

Becker reveals that despite its focus on handheld right now most of the studio is busy working on PlayStation 4, although he wouldn’t be drawn on anything more specific than “we have an exciting line up of new, long awaited and innovative titles currently in development for PS4.”

It sounds like they already have.

Probably. The vita is a 3rd party handheld thats for sure. Japanese devs know people buy games on the vita and not so much with the 3ds. A lot of devs have had some flops on the 3ds.

Saw God of War collection today while shopping at Walmart. Didn't try to buy but it didn't even have a price or anything on the shelf so I doubt I could have bought it anyway.

Is this where someone posts that MH4 vs. Vita's entire software library sales graph again?

I just finished P4G for the first time, and wow, what a game. 55 hours and that's with the standard ending, I don't even want to think how much I missed, but I loved the way the stats, social links, books and part time jobs all inter-link. The cast was great too, at the point the game finished I felt that I'd really miss them and the main characters uncle and cousin. The only exception being Teddy, as I've never really understand the appeal behind the comedic pervert. The fanservice got a bit much at times with everyone constantly obsessing over what the girls were wearing, but on the whole the characters were really interesting, I think Kanji and Chie were my faves. Anyway, thanks for the recommendations vitagaf.

The only problem is I'm now looking at Demon Gaze, Etrian Odyssey MG and P3P wondering what to play next, I think I'll get stuck into Dragon's Crown or Muramasa as a nice change of pace before tackling another epic dungeon crawl!

Only a couple of hours into Muramasa Rebirth and it is a stunner. Looks amazing and plays like a dream, I like my Vita more and more so many great games and most have come from PS+ haven't even started Everbody's Golf yet and that game is meant to be pretty good.

Ah, bugger! Seems like I missed the heavy discount on Virtua Tennis :(
Anyway, picked up Persona 4: Golden, just because it's discounted. I know this game gets a lot of praise, but I'm diving in with the most disinterested attitude right now. Never played a Persona game before. Lets see how this pans out.

Edit: COLOURS! dat opening. dat oled.

Just tried playing COD Ghosts online with remote play. On a technical level it's really fucking good! Controls on the other hand....not so much. I'll see if I can get used to them.

Wait, SoulSac Delta releases this month? The hell? Why am I now just finding out about this?
Yeah, I was so excited by the announcement that I forgot the release date. Think it might have been for the best because the next two weeks will be torture.

Ghosts is depressing me. It's reminding me how good the multiplayer in Killzone Mercenary is, but how fucking lame it is that the online doesn't work for more than a minute in that game without kicking me.

Oh please Takao! I thought that at this point even stones would know that Nintendo, Capcom, Square, Level 5 and few others are the only ones that really sell well on Nintendo platforms, most of the others bomb.

What? Discount on Virtua Tennis?? Where?

LOL, out of the four big publishers that have big IPs...

Bandai Namco - GE2 was exclusive, but pulled out exclusivity on SRW Z3 (speculation due to controls being based on Vita). Still hasn't given me GvG on Vita. :(
Sega - thinks that Vita is Dreamcast Portable and is supposedly out to make PS Nova THE RPG for Vita.
Capcom - Got paid to not release on any MH on handheld.
Konami - Still spamming Musou everywhere inc. Vita. And actually got an exclusive for Vita (Toukiden).
Square Enix - Our mobile division is porting games to Vita! Please be excited.

Out of those, the only ones that usually get 400k+ on first week are Capcom (MH only) and Square Enix.

Capcom: "Cacpcom."
Square Enix: "Give me AAA or give me phone games. But Vita ain't selling worldwide, so no AAA. Here's Million Arthur and Chaos Ring ports. We're busy so wait for 2025 for Chaos Ring 2."

I laugh-cried when I read one of the Square Enix go "noone was making a game for Vita, so I thought I'd port Chaos Ring" in one of the Famitsu App interview.

On a serious note, I'd actually be happy if Sega delays PS Nova to 2015 and actually makes it really good and not just an "offline PSO2". :/

guys I have 7 bucks left on my wallet, whcic one is better suikoden or RE2?

Count me in for the "Murumasa is awesome" group. Also only a couple hours in, but it is gorgeous. After putting all the time into Dragon's Crown, everything feels perfectly natural. My jaw dropped when I saw that map, I can't wait to get through this game. Perfect timing, too, as I was starting to feel a bit stagnant on the games I have currently on my Vita. Yea sure I have many unfinished games (mainly indies, with one or two native Vita titles), but when I could game, none of them really called out to me as much. Murumasa's call is now beaming straight to my brain. And I love it. Almost makes me wish I bought the retail cart, so I could see that beatiful box on my shelf near Dragon's Crown. Perhaps during a sale..

Welcome! I think it took me about a month to get activated. Think of it as a form of hazing :P

Having only played RE2 or the two listed, my opinion is one sided. I can at least say that I really like RE2 and that it's fun to replay since it displays your record at the end. Then you can try to beat that record!
