How do we do a Souls game with an extremely minimal(or zero) HUD that doesn't hinder in any way? I hate the HUD as it was in Dark Souls(have played 2), as it's both overly large, as well as just plain ugly. It looks like it was a place holder that was left in my mistake.
That is bad. You want them to pretty much alter the game from what it is and what has helped make it famous so you can play it as you think it should be.

Honestly? Yes, I've never understood this need that many have about games. The wish that it would suit them instead of the many "purist" that love the game the way it is(barring technical wrongdoings). I mean, there is figuratively a million games out there, why kick on a nische that it should conform and turn "mainstream"?
But then again I'm not "King Video Game" and I can understand how it would benefit the game if it was more accessible. Not to mention it would enable many to join in on the fun.
Perhaps add a good difficulty schemata? No clue. As long as *I* can have fun I'll stick with whatever tickles my fancy.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the biggest announcement at E3.
The big stuff is most likely sealed up. Like 8GB of GDDR5 sealed up

Me too. Even though this has the "look" of a Souls game, my hope is that this isn't just a Souls game in a new skin but something with entirely new mechanics and gameplay.

I'm actually more fond of the PVP in 2 but that's just because I'm getting less lag than in 1. My main gripes are:
A) Tracking during enemy attacks is often too long, making strafing impossible. combined with the fact that roll invincibility frames are dubious because of the new stats, blocking and moving backwards are the only reliable ways to avoid damage.
B) The perfect health system from DaSo1 is gone, replaced with a hybrid of DeSo and DaSo1. You've got the flasks, but you've also got an infinite supply of those damn stones, and an automatic regeneration ring so that you can just idle to regain health. Because of those two items, death in DaSo2 never results from a series of mistakes across multiple encounters because you can always recover between encounters.
C) Demon's Souls and Dark Souls never felt like they were ABOUT being hard, despite being marketed that way, but Dark Souls 2 definitely does. It almost feels like it was made by a largely different group of people from the first two.
More than anything, it's just starting to get boring for me. It reminds me of Assassin's Creed Revelations in the sense that it feels like the third iteration of incredibly similar games. edit: all that said, I still love Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 and I'm majorly excited for whatever FROM cooks up next.

There's just a lot of trolling, people falling for said trolls and dickery. The only real "salt" was in the early stage of this thread when some PC gaffers got exceedingly butthurt. I even read a comment from a PC gamer saying he was "renouncing" Fromsoft because of this move.

Read the OP and for the life of me can't figure out why this has become an epic thread.
I think thats what it likely is, I just hope it isn't. Dark Souls was necessary because Sony had no interest in Demon Souls 2. The last we heard from Miyazaki he talked about wanting to do something besides Souls games, so hopefully this is that.

Well I'm just hoping to see a From Software RPG built from the ground up on modern hardware. Their games have shit technical graphics saved by great art direction. Imagine From releasing a game that excelled in both areas, or at least didn't suck in the tech department.
Now just imagine if this hadn't leaked and Sony showed this off at E3. Even the Bayonetta 2 Wii U exclusive reactions wouldn't be as bad as that.

But Souls begun as an exclusive. So, what's the problem? Aren't gamers supposed to enjoy gaming regardless of platform?

I wish I got into Demon's Souls so I could be really excited at this one. Well, I'll probably give it a shot concidering when this comes out we ain't quite at the point where games are current gen exclusives and gotta support those.

Nothing will be as bad as the Bayonetta 2 reactions. Truly disgusting. Actually maybe FFXIII coming to 360 was as bad but I doubt we'll be seeing any reactions as crazy as for those two.

From developed both games no? Plus Capcom has some sort of a relationship given Dead Rising's history. Still, was just fantasy land for me. There were some great ideas in Heavy Armor botched by terrible execution and cheap mission design. Would love to see another go at it.

Nope sorry capcom never developed a game called "Steal Battalion" they did do one called "Steel Battalion" though.
Also the poster above you must be thinking of the Kinect title "Steel Battalion: Heavy Assault", which was developed by From, but published by Capcom.

Well, besides people mad about having to buy a console they weren't planning to?... when I think that all the best team members were probably siphoned off of Dark 2 for this... I get a little salty...

Was thinking of both the Xbox and 360 games which were exclusives with interesting control systems. One just worked better than the other
