Wii U saved

Would buy a Wii U
and then sell it again after playing the game

so is it confirmed that Dark Souls 2 really was made by a "B team"? and this is what the "A team" has been working on?

loving Dark Souls 2 atm (despite some difficulty playing it without any guide, STILL cant find any goddamn titanite shards after 50 hours.. still rolling with a Mace +2 lol).

I know right?!! Playing Dark 2 and still pimping a battle axe + 4 (soul level 90).

Is it a coincidence that the unused content in Demons Souls had a lot do with beasts:

That's pretty cool, did not know this. They aren't true beasts though, you know anthropomorphism and all that.

This makes me wonder what the enemies are going to look like in project beast.

Not only that, the Soul King Allant drops is called Beast's Demon's Soul. And then you have the Talisman of Beast, which "resembles the Old One".

Last archstone has a beast theme too, but that's too much speculation, idk.

Detective GAF, on it. So I'm guessing that final archstone was in the files, but not shown in-game? On the wiki, it says

http://demonssouls.wikia.com/wiki/Archstones
A mentioned Archstone, entrusted to the giants of a northern land.

Same Giants from
Dark Souls 2
, perhaps?

EDIT - Let's not forget Blacksmith Lenigrast being the spitting image of the second archstone, the Archstone of the Burrow King. [X]

No idea, thing is the art was made for 6 archstones from the beginning, idk at which point the sixth one became broken/lost and whether it was a design/lore decision or they just hit a financial wall or whatever but the sixth archstone and world never made it.

Project Beast could be based on that, but i think they just picked all the awesome things from that abandoned world and used it on the new game or maybe based the new game on that.

What i'm saying is that i don't think it's a direct sequel, but the hints and inspiration are there.

already posted a while ago.

Remember the broken 6th archstone?
These guys sure looks like beasts to me.

but yeah, really seems like it'll be Demon's Souls II (especially since that would already have name-recognition.)

btw: can the OP maybe be updated to summarize all the "evidence" that has been collected?

I just want to say this, because it's always bothered me. When people say they want "Demon's Souls 2". It just bothers me. I mean, most of the same team worked on Dark Souls. It's clear that at least in gameplay and aesthetics, Dark was a spiritual successor to Demon's. Everyone can acknowledge that. In fact, I think the only reason it wasn't called Demon's Souls 2, is because of what happened with Sony initially, and how they didn't believe in the project. So, I see Dark Souls 2, and Demon's Souls 3, technically.

And with the Lore, it's clear at least in concepts and loose easter eggs, the worlds are connected in some way (very loosely, of course).

But yea, it's whatever. People are gonna think what they want, and want what they think they want.

"Demon's Souls 2", yea!

Dark Souls 2 was confirmed that it was made by an almost completely different team that did Demon's and Dark1.As much as some people don't want to admit/believe that ,the credits from all three games don't lie.
And of course, most importantly ,the creator and director of the first two games had nothing to do (creatively) with DS2.

Yea, but he (the guy you quoted) likes it. So why is your post sounding so damning of the game? I don't think he views "B-Team" as a negative, as you obviously do.

I think it's important to say though that this B-team did an excellent work and even without the soul of the Souls games which is Miyazaki they delivered a great product that is just cursed to be slightly inferior than the two predecessors.

DS2 is not a bad game, it just isn't godlike like DeS and DS are.

Agreed. That needed to be said.

Dont. Set them free. Allow yourself to dream a little. New generations, greater power, more freedom for devs.

14 days.

New genres, revived franchises, spectacular open world masterpieces, scifi epic ship to ship battles, pirates, ninjas, lootwhoring, chickens in radiation suits, point and clicks, music to set your heart aflame, BASE jumping in Nepal, capturing all your flags, angels and demons losing their minds, and a boy, his friends, memories and tears?

One things for sure, there is nothing like the start of a new gen.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you goooooo

hmm...he mentioned Pirates!!

No, nothing is confirmed but if this turnes out to be true it will be easy to compare the credits after release and then we'll know. Anyways, DaS2 is a great game. Titanite Spoiler
The daughter of the black smith sells unlimited shards after you find her in Harvester Valley or what it's called and later on even large ones.

HA! i knew it!
the blacksmith mentioned his daughter and i immediately thought i probably need to find her to access titanite shards or the ability to make special weapons etc.. now i just need to find that damn place.

k, i'm not bothered by that though. to me it's obvious that whoever worked on DS2 had a passion for it and knew what they were doing. i'm personally loving it maybe a tiny bit more than DS1 (the fact that online actually works properly for me this time helps a lot). music hasn't been as memorable so far though..

I'm afraid this has something to do with your own imaginary misconceptions.I said it was made by a different team not "B-team".

I definitely agree.DS2 is a good game it's just not as good (for me and many others) as it was Demon's and Dark who were two of my favourite games of all time.Personally whenever i called the DS2 team B-team i did so to differentiate it from the other team and not to use it as a negative term (even though i didn't liked the result of their work as much as the other team's.)

Saying "As much as some people don't want to admit/believe..." as if there's some kind of fight for it to be the storied "A-Team", and no one will accept this sad fact. And I'm referring to all your posts, just in this thread alone. We don't have to be reminded how much you don't like DS2, in comparison with the previous two Souls titles.

I so hope this is true. A Soulsian game in a Gothic/Victorian setting makes so much sense, Dark Souls was basically already a 3D Castlevania.
Though hopefully they emphasize the horror elements from Demon's Souls much more in this one, I think it would fit the time period they seem to be going for really well.
Also, give me a Blunderbuss parry into Blunderbuss riposte, with a Blunderbuss backstab as a coup de grace and I will never ask for anything else ever.

I wouldn't be so sure but tbh games never do dragon fights any justice.

Skyrim was really lame. Demons Souls was you cheesing them by arrows. DKS2 was just as bad. When you actually reached the Dragon God (yes I know right), one of the best enemy designs I have seen:

it turned out to be a gimmicky boss.

Theres only one game that has consistently made Dragons awesome creatures to fight and that is Dragons Dogma.

I personally think Kalameet is the best dragon fight ever in a video game, for me he's close to being a perfect boss, and he more than makes up for From's earlier shittier attempts.
In fact the whole Artorias of the Abyss DLC is amazing and probably From's best work. If that same team after finishing the DLC went on to work on Project Beast under Miyazaki as director... Sweet Jesus!

Thaaank yooouuu.

Also I'm really bothered by this idea that it would be ok for From to have split teams up to essentially work on two souls games. Like if you can't see a potential for stupidity there I don't even know where to start with you.

Two teams for totally different ip's I'm ok with though.

I agree with the first part 100%, so hyped.

Second part, i'm sure it's the same team. Idk if Project Beast is a thing, even though i personally hope and believe it is, but whatever Miyazaki is doing, he is working with that team and we do know that they can do miracles. I have no worries that their game is gonna be awesome.

Well it's the truth that some people just refuse to admit it was made by a different team even though other people worked hard to compare the credits from all three different games. It's quite annoying honestly regardless of what someone thinks of the quality of DS2.

You even have someone a few posts above calling people "stupid" to think From Soft has two different teams when people are just stating facts.

I wonder what happened

He made a joke post some pages ago.It was obviously meant as a joke so i'm surprised he got banned.

He's been delairing threads lately with nonsensical PS4, Zelda and Dragon Ball "jokes". I think a wake up call was deserved.

Even if this turns out to be some elaborate hoax, someone has to notice the fact that this thing has gathered more than a million views in less than two days. If it is real (and it seems like it is) I really hope that it is shown at E3. If the reveal was planned for TGS, Sony might want to capitalize on the hype and at least announce it, with the full reveal coming at the originally agreed upon date.

Yup this is exactly how I feel about the whole thing

Agreed so much. Kalameet is probably the only time i have seen a dragon done right in gaming. And by that i mean something that is smart and something to be feared.

Most dragon in gaming seem to land right next to you and start smacking you like a normal monster. Not Kalameet, first he just nukes you from the sky, giving zero fucks. Only after a sidequest you can force him to land and then he will still wreck your shit like the ant you are.

I wish there where more dragons in gaming like Kalameet.

Totally agree. The first time i fought him on the ground i thought "ok i got him down, now he will not be much of a problem".What a fool i was lol.

I finally gave up on his tail so i managed to beat him but even then it wasn't easy.
