Really hoping the Rams take Watkins at 2 if we can't trade down. Going to be an exciting draft for us either way. I feel like taking Watkins is a good way to prove whether or not Bradford is even worth it, that's a plus.

I work at 6 Thursday, will I be able to catch the Rams pick/trade by the time 5:45 rolls around, or will ESPN/NFL dick around for 35 minutes?

Rams history shows they like guys like Robinson and Evans more than Watkins and Mathews. Big on size/speed that have room to get better. I think they go GRob if the stay put, but I won't be shocked if they take Evans

I said Teddy Bridgewater wouldn’t fall out of the 1st round. The more I gather info, the more I believe I will be wrong. Sorry Teddy fans.

Then why did the take Austin last year? I think Watkins may be redundant, but history there means jack squat when the hc has been there 2 years.

They were desperate for a playmaker and went against what they usually do. It was a mistake to take him that high. I think if they had it to do again they would wait for Patterson.

But the trend has been to favor guys with decent size who can run. They loved Brockers for that reason, Quick too. It's just my guess that they will like GRob or Evans.

Draft prediction: Deone Bucannon will be the best safety from this class. I disagree with the notion he is only a box safety

My ten best players:

1. Johnny Manziel - forget his size, he is a player and the real deal as much as I hate him.
2. Jadeveon clowney - only reason he is not no1 is because of his attitude
3. Derek Carr - best thrower and most nfl ready qb
4. Mike Evans - best wr to choose from, if you have a half decent qb, this guy will catch it
5. Sammy Watkins - the second best wr, makes unbelievable catches.
6. Eric Ebron - best te available
7. Lache seastrunk - I prefer him over marquis lee as the best rb
8. Taylor lewan - best ot and best leader in this top ten
9. Teddy bridgewater - nest best qb
10. Darqueze dennard - this guy has the best name in the top ten and every Spartans game I saw he was great.

These would be the first ten I would pick, in order, if I did not have any positional needs.

Calling it now, the Eagles are going to trade up and get Anthony Barr. Lots of noise about them trading up, although everyone is assuming it is for a WR or possibly even JFF. But the position that is thinnest in this draft is OLB and that happens to be one of their biggest needs. It has to be Barr who they really want and they will likely look to leap frog Dallas to get him.

A RB and a TE getting drafted before Mack, Robinson, or Matthews? Come on son.

That's his Big Board, not necessarily a mock draft order.

I definitely don't think Lewan is better than Matthews or Robinson, and I don't think Derek Carr is the 3rd best player in the draft.

I want either Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans with our first round pick. I don't care what we do for the rest of the draft we need one of those two studs to push us over the hump from solid, young team to an elite team.

Restore the Roar 2014.

Terrified to think of you guys with more weaponry. Big potential.

Love what I see from Evans.

Man, I hope Barr or Donald drop to the Cowboys. Other 1st round prospects that visited with the Cowboys include Zack Martin, Kony Ealy, Ryan Shazier and Timmy Jernigan. One of those players will most likely be picked by Dallas.

Unless...JFF drops. Naw, just kidding. Dallas will riding with Romo t'll the end. Whooo! Tony Romo!

No way Barr or Donald both drop pass the Bears. They are taking the best player available.

Is this a real thing?

I don't think you understand how real it is.

The Lions have been kicked around and laughed at for to long. It's our time.

Evans is going to be a great receiver. Evans has it all: size, speed, route running, great hands...everything you'd want from a #1 NFL receiver.

I get boners thinking about him lining up opposite of Megatron with Stafford slinging it to them.

We're going receiver in the first two rounds, and at the very least we're going to be a fun team to watch.

Ebron has a pretty damn good chance of going before at least one of them. He's in a buttload of top 10s.

So you agree with me? :highfive:

Im not liking the Vikings spot at 8. I'd be lukewarm on Bridgewater and Bottles there. What we really need is a solid MLB or a 4-3 OLB but Mosley is a reach there and most people think Barr is not a great candidate to switch to a 4-3.

Bortles seems like a popular guy to MIN. Seems like you guys could move down for someone that wants a LT or maybe Donald

Ahhh. I remember how exciting the draft was when we were picking in the top 6 every year. It really is super bowl fever for fans of shit teams.

We're not going to stay at 30 unless none of our targets fall below 15th or so . Still, with such a late pick who we get depends so much on what other teams do.

I was watching NFL Live yesterday afternoon, and I kept hearing Mortensen pronouncing Ebron's name "EEE-bron". Is this right? I've been using the short e, like "EH-bron",

There isn't much talent in the first, dat second day though

I'd love to see us pick twice between 15-30. We've been picking multiple times in the first round the last two years. Trade up, trade down. Whatever it takes.

Man, if they are taking Evans, definitely move a little down in the top 10 and grab him, because he's bound to be available I think size is attractive for us, didn't really think about the redundancy of Watkins given his size.

6'5, I suddenly want Evans more, but I feel as if I don't do enough research to have a proper say. I love the Rams to death, but I don't follow college football and I hate watching ESPN coverage in the months before the draft.

Problem is every team is trying to trade down a little. I think Rams would like to trade down from 2, then use haul and trade up from 13. Try and get maybe Evans/Watkins and Lewan/Mathews. I think Rams know they can't fall below 4 b/c OAK and JAX might both go WR

Yeah, probably would have to move down to 4 for the Browns, but I doubt they feel that pressured to move up. Especially if they want a QB. All signs point to the Rams pushing hard to move around though.

One of the main reasons I don't want a tackle at 2..

That would be a weird pick. We drafted Sharif Floyd in the first last year and spent $$$ on a NT in free agency. Maybe they're giving up on Floyd?

Nah, Vikings were always stocked on the D line (the Williams Wall), and Donald is a completely different player than Linval Joseph (he's a traditional 5 tech). Joseph probably could line up at the left end as well.

I want to see the Lions trade down a bit in order to get an extra pick. Seems like all the elite players will be gone by 10 so why not move back and pick whoever makes sense. I like Denard, and while I don't want a first round CB we might need to take one due to Chris Houston being injured. I want a LB but Barr's inexperience scares me.

Taking a WR in the first round would be Millen-esque. This is a very deep WR draft, we can wait for the second or even third round. Moncrief would make sense, or that 6'5 receiver from FSU. Or Allen Robinson from Penn State.

Giants in the 2nd round?
They signed Rashad Jennings, and with the team's holes at TE, OL, and WR, I can't see a RB getting taken that early. Reese also said he expects Wilson to be around - whether or not he'll be able to play is to be foreseen. I see them taking a back in the 5th or so, though.
