Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Remakes Announced for 3DS

This is a bad example, since it's explained in X&Y that the Fairy type is a recent discovery. Just like how Steel is described to be a recent discovery in G/S/C/HG/SS.

Oh, looks like Game Freak might actually care about continuity after all...

Yeah, a totally recent discovery.

Oh yeah, there's also that dude with the 3000 YEAR OLD Floette.

Gonna wait for "Delta Emerald"

Also if it's gamefreak making this. Then they sure as fuck better implement proper 3d along with a good framerate. The implementation of that in Pokemon X/Y was just unacceptable imo.

So pumped. This was the generation I really got obsessed with Pokemon. Bought both versions, played over 300 hours on Ruby and 40 on Sapphire.

I am even more excited to have an updated soundtrack. Hopefully less trumpets and more gen 1/2 feeling.

The remakes have never had a third version, you will be waiting a while!

Oh wow. I still remember the announcement of them. I thought it was a joke.

You had all the rights to think so considering this was out not much time before the actual announcements

You'll be waiting a while, just like I waited for Mind Crystal...

Another thing, why do you want a good frame rate from a child's handheld game?

"Oh, this game doesn't look good, *I won't play it*".

Its so stupid.

Same here; this was the only generation where my brother and I combined to have all 3 versions. Definitely over 1500 hours combined play between the two of us. Good times; I think the Gameboy Player was to blame for the frequency of play.

Seriously? You don't have a problem with a developer releasing a game, which most of the time doesn't display 3d, on the freaking 3ds? 3d is such a big part of the console that they put 3d in the goddamn name of the console. And then when the game does display 3d, it pretty much halves the framerate. That's just ridiculous when the whole point of the console is to display games in 3d.

Also, that you can seriously suggest that a game should get a free pass on technical issues because it's a "child's game" for a handeheld console just blows my mind. I don't care what demographic a game is targeting, or what console it's made for. When I pay 40 bucks for a game, I expect it to run properly.

There's a first time for everything! And with the problems Nintendo is facing currently, I don't think they'd mind the tens of millions an emerald release would generate.

Eeeeh... wow.

First of all Framrate is more than just looks and what is stupid about wantig a game that runs well

I hope they make it so that the Elite 4 level up so many times after you've beaten them, maybe even having different dialogue on subsequent runs. Like every 10th time you become the champion, there's an option to kick up the difficulty a notch, and everyone gains 5 levels. Once they max out at 100, every 10th time you get the option to reset back to their original levels.

Oh, and make the versions actually different. The only difference I noticed in Ruby from Sapphire was a few patches of unwalkable ground in place of water, and the bad guys switching. I think someone here suggested replacing some of the route of water with land, like the implications of Team Magma's plans to create more land by using Groudon's power.

Breaking News! Mega-Luvdisc revealed!

Luvdisc.jpg

I think Nintendo is going to get a lot of viral buzz if they make a Mega Luvdisc that is so interesting you'll see a lot of meme centric quote attach to it.

Luvdisc deserves better lol, it give me the much needed heart scales.

In case this hasn't been posted yet, they are confirmed to be "full remakes" of the GBA games. But guessing that HG/SS were also called "full remakes" so similar thing to them

but the latest installments from the Pokémon franchise, “Pokémon Omega Ruby” and “Pokémon Alpha Sapphire” will be released globally for Nintendo 3DS in November this year. They are full-remakes of the Game Boy Advance “Pokémon Ruby” and “Pokémon Sapphire” games, which sold more than 5.44 million units in Japan and more than 16.22 million units worldwide.

What does full remake entail? Do they just remake the original world in the "new" graphics engine that they're using nowadays. Along with updated network and social features? Or do they also things like new areas and things to do. What about the story in the game? Older pokemon games were pretty barebones in that department.

Usually all of the above with new additions to the story.

The type was the discovery, not the fairy Pokemon themselves. Also that dude only ever calls Floette the "flower pokemon" not "fairy pokemon", so presumably he doesn't know that it's a fairy.

My whole point is that Game Freak does bother to keep some sort of continuity (even if their explanations aren't all that great) which is what the whole debate was about.

I'll wager some Poke Bank integration is a given? I hope there is basic trading between X/Y as well. I need my Tanker Berserker Tyranitar to bust the heads of Pokemon.

I sincerely hope the main game is more challenging then X/Y. To me it was too easy. Only one NPC trainer ever had a full party.

Woah. Have colored DS/3DS cards been done before?
Black a white are colours. Black for special chips and white for DSi only. But yeah that cart mock up is a bad fake, wrong product code, game boy advance and Nintendo logo practically invisible.

So what you're saying is they're going to give I can't believe its not a Luvdisc evolution, Alomomola, a mega evolution.
