Port begging? I was just asking.

Either way, game looks absolutely awesome and seems like tremendous fun.

"Port begging" doesn't have to be literally on your knees begging for the game to be ported. Best to not wonder about it's XBO exclusivity in a gameplay video thread and save it for later. Just a bit of advice.

To answer your question, there is zero indication either way. No use in wondering.

If 900p is what we get with the Xbox One generation, that will be perfectly fine with me. PvsZ:GW and Ryse look incredible to me (although I'm sure some of you would say I'm wrong).

I'd say get a bigger display device.

It is what it is though, and its not gonna change much. I think people just felt insulted with marketing trying to lie to their face. Same outrage with Sony's bait and switch on Driveclub, then trying to scrub what they said previously, editing old statements.

None of that shit is good for us gamers, and we should want better as consumers.

Just FYI on GAF asking for games that are exclusives to be on other platforms can be considered port begging, it's just best to avoid it.

I know what you were asking but just a friendly heads up. ;)

This looks fantastic. The mix of genres that they were describing appeal to me. I'm surprised that the multiplayer isn't as integrated within the single player game as I thought it would be, after the initial reveal teaser.

Looks colorful, but the AI looks pretty dumb.

Wonder what the FPS is since they didn't talk about it, being a sub-1080p game one would think it's locked 60FPS.

It's got its charm with the way things are modelled and animated, but it's already confirmed that the game is currently sub-1080p, also no confirmation of FPS so we can assume it isn't 60fps.

Probably in that it doesn't scream next-gen.

It looks good and colorful, but these are pretty low-poly models due to the type of look they're going for. He probably meant that this game could've been achieved on last-gen consoles.

Being sub-HD and most likely 30FPS, it shouldn't have those weird baked-shadow pop-in bugs and aliasing issues.

We get it bro. You can move along now. There are plenty of 1080p or 60fps game you can discuss in other threads.

I don't mind the animations, the gameplay looks sharp.

If by the end of this generation, the Xbone has enough exclusives to make me get one, this game will probably be one of the biggest reasons.

Is there some bad blood between Insomniac and Sony?

They make a game on a rival console and the bad guy is blatantly sackboy with a hat :/

So, uhh, asking a very relevant question "what console is this coming out for?" is against the rules? It's not anywhere in the OP or title that this is XBO. Now, sure, I know it's an Xbox Exclusive, but not everybody does... It's a new IP and this is the first video of the game ever. Maybe not everybody knows.

I think it looks like an Infamous Wannabe
The sad part is that the Infamous caracter has 120,000 polygons and this one only have 40,000 polygons.

Damn...that's a lot of polygons for me not to give a shit about.

OT: The game looks like it will be a blast. I'm loving the vibrant colors. I hope the characters have a little more "weight" (can't think of a better term) to them. That one ground pound gif looks little weak because of it.

AMAZING!

So colourful ! Reminds me of the OG XBOX games like Jet Set Radio and Fusion Frenzy in the bright vivid colours.

This is exactly what we need.

First impression: Ratchet & Clank meets inFamous. Not a bad thing.

Graphically, not impressive at all compared to Second Son. Art style is cool though. Gameplay mechanics look a little stiff, especially that wall-running in the beginning. Hopefully, that can easily be fixed before release.

So overall, I'm interested. Mainly due to being a huge fan of R&C. Hopefully the characters and story are worthwhile too. The Ratchet & Clank games have some fantastic casts and plots, especially A Crack in Time.

My thoughts exactly.

The Titanfall comparisons are a bit lame to me; but the game looks a lot more 3rd person focused than that, so it's not the worse thing.

Why does everyone have to wield guns in EVERYTHING? I like that he actually pulled out a baseball bat for his ground pound, at least; I hope there's a few things that aren't just shooting. The Ratchet games always had fun guns though, so if it's gotta shoot, I guess they're in the right hands.

The animations don't bother me. They look "Gamey", in the fact that they look like they're concerned about precision and intuitiveness first, and making it all work in 3D second. Also, with Create-a-Character being a big factor, they're probably not focusing on making character build-and-body specific animation just yet, but instead, unisex, uniform animations that could work with any type of person.

The open world element does nothing for me, specifically. Open worlds with no "life" to their surroundings might as well just be games with specific stages, to allow for tighter design structure, and more varied elements. But the idea that the game is SOOO different at night intrigues me. Dead Rising 3's ability to make nearly each and every building enterable and unique gave worth to the open world.Red Faction Guerrilla's world destruction made it like a playground of adult building blocks. But so far, this looks like a classic "they might as well be boxes in 2D platformers" approach, which is a bit disappointing.

All in all, I like what I see, though it'll have to push even harder to really sell me on it. If they can give the gameplay as much personality as their "BOOM" explosions, then it should end up being a treat. It feels like a "Sunset Drive" at this point, lets hope the rest brings the "Over" into play.

The XO needed a game like this: vibrant, crazy, beautiful, fresh, wacky...it just LOOKS like a game that you HAVE to pick up and play, and almost impossible to look away

This generation is heating up!

I hope this game performs well, just to show publishers that we can finally have fun, non-grimdark settings again. But my cynical side has this failing like other great games like Nuts & Bolts.

This is actually looking like a winning formula to me. Absolutely loved what I saw. It restores some faith in Insomniac as well.

It has many elements from the infamous serie.

To be fair this game is a special case since it is owned by insomniac it could come to other platforms at some point. It looks good but it also looks really empty and repetitive in these previews.

It looks really good and fun, but i'm not paying $500 for 1 game.

Sigh.

This is the boat I am in, this game looks incredible and I love Insomniac. But I am not dropping 500 dollars just to play it.

MS is either going to need to blow me out of the water at E3 or drop the price to 400 dollars or less.

Still, seeing games like this make it tough to hold off. I need some direct feed footage!

Holy crap that looks amazing. Gives me vibes of Tony Hawk meets L4D. That + drugs. I'd say this is actually the most interesting looking shooter announced and I don't even own X1.

This looks awesome.

Do you think that Sony seeing this might be starting to consider adding more of their big surprises to the E3 conference they are planning?

Those rumors yesterday stated that they will be watching MS's conference to see how much they need to reveal to "dampen hype".

This game has me pretty damn hyped...

Late Gen-7 Insomniac games always looked good up until you put a controller in your hand.
Their games have always played well too, if not with always the most engaging content. The biggest complaint I see about their late gen-7 games is that they play well enough for what they are but that people were supposedly looking for something different in the gameplay. People complained about fatigue with the standard R&C gameplay, so IG tries to mix it up for a couple of games and then everyone just complains that it wasn't traditional R&C enough. R3 recovers largely from the missteps of R2. FUSE just came off too generic though, I'll grant you.

Watch the port begging. This thread is about the gameplay video.

Come on, no need for backseat modding. Dude wasn't port begging, he just asked a simple question. Port begging is when you deal rail the whole thread with "Wah, why isn't this on my platform of choice!" meltdowns. See Project Beasts.

By the way, any news on how this game is using the cloud? Last I was aware it was a necessary thing to run this game, I am guessing due to the player chooses the directon of the game after launch part but any specific details?
It did mention in the EDGE article that there's an in-game tv channel that talked about voting on things. My guess is we'll hear about multiplayer aspects and what happens at night at e3.

Oh...

Oh.

Yes, this is exactly what I expected. It's like my favorite parts of Ratchet & Clank had a baby with... Jet Set Radio? Or even Dead Rising?

Oh man.

Asscreed autoplay delux?

If skill/precision would be needed to pull all this off i might be interested, by the looks of it it's enough to point in the direction you want to go and your char will autosnap to whatever is there.

In this gif he is neither jumping on the umbrella nor is he anywhere near the post.
