Yeah. Typically, with the usual release of 15th, if there's big stuff, we'll get it on the 10th or 11th, 12th at a stretch with the rest coming on the 13th (hell, that's how it happened this month).

So, because it's earlier, lop a day off, so we should get it then.

X & Y was the first thing in the E3 Direct. It revealed the Fairy-type, release date, Pokémon Amie, Noivern and Vivillon.

Then, later that day, there was the Pokémon X & Y roundtable which revealed various things including riding Pokémon, the PSS, Skrelp, Clauncher, Litleo and more
 
Pokemon usually didn't appear in E3 but now that worldwide release is a thing they'll probably be there again. As far as I know, they didn't say anything about OR/AS being in E3, but a trailer is a safe bet.

2003 had the reveal of Colosseum, Pinball R&S, Box and Channel...
 
Legendary scoop may well be the ability to capture Dialga, Palkia and Giratina in game, in the same way that they publicised being able to catch Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza in HGSS before release.

Assuming it's not announcing that Omega Groudon and Alpha Kyogre are Megas or formes, of course.

Possibly, but I say it's more likely they'll reveal what's up with Groudon & Kyogre
 
Unless there's a lot of other games, ORAS will most likely be shown during E3. I wish we could get demos of the games on the eShop during E3 or something, but nobody likes to release their E3 demo builds during E3 on digital services.

Which they clearly didn't do with Hoenn. On top of that making Pokemon from the previous gens limited in appearance. I'm really hoping the dex changes.
 
I gotta be honest, my entire opinion on this game is hinging on Mega Sceptile's design and the music. The RSE soundfont is just so damn perfect, I'm really worried that they aren't going to be able to remaster it without it sounding too generic.

EDIT: No, no, you know what? Remastering a track right now to provide an example of what I mean.

DOUBLE EDIT:

Route 113 (Faithful Ver.)

Emphasis on tremolo in synths, textured chiptunes, lo-fi equalizers, bitcrushers, phasers, and what have you to make it sound like the audio is actually managing to squeeze blood out of a rock. There's a certain grit or at least lo-fi-ness to RSE's audio that keeps it charming, the percussion especially with the constant white noise hi-hats. Not to mention those awesome trumpets. Now, here's what I'm expecting to happen:

Route 133 (game freak pls no ver.)

XY samples with some minor changes and more untextured chiptunes added, with too much liberty taken with the instrumentation - that fucking Colossus violin is going to be the death of me, because RSE managed just fine with minimal tremolo on the string samples and didn't need that crunchy sense of "warmth" to it to use the strings properly. My biggest fear, though, is them hamming up those rock guitars they introduced in XY and use them to replace the iconic trumpets in favor of using some deeper, more emotional-sounding brass samples.

Don't make assumptions, my 6IV Ditto is NOT Japanese!

But really, more access to Ditto is only ever a good thing. The potential to synchronise for natures alone is enough to get excited about. People shouldn't have to be so dependant on being in the right place at the right time to get something absolutely essential for competitive breeding.
 
I'm sure this has been discussed many times here already, but I'm a bit worried by the possibility of added Mega Evolutions or alternate forms in these games.

On one hand, it would be great to see more Mega Evolutions and such introduced. There's at least something going on with Kyrogre and Groudon, so we know there's going to be something new.

However...I'm afraid of compatibility issues. I'm afraid that any new forms or Mega Evolutions they introduce won't be able to be used in multiplayer, which would really suck. It's nothing that hasn't happened before in the series, but if we get a good handful of new Mega Evolutions and they can't be used for multiplayer, it would be really disappointing.

I know what you're thinking; those can be added to X and Y via a mandatory patch. Sure, maybe. But I'm doubtful that that will happen. And if it does, they can make it mandatory for online play, but they have no control over local multiplayer, I believe, which would mean that they probably wouldn't even support the new Pokémon forms or Mega Evolutions for local multiplayer to ensure compatibility, which would really suck.

So yeah, to me it looks like a losing situation either way. I'd loved to be proved wrong, of course, but I dunno.


And if they don't make better use of StreetPass this time, I'm going to be extremely disappointed. Seriously, Pokémon has SO MUCH potential for StreetPass features, and X and Y has some of the most useless StreetPass implementation of any 3DS game. That was so disappointing.

I think the genie Therian Formes introduced in B/W2 worked in battles against B/W1 players. They just showed up to those players with their old sprites. That might be possible in local matches without a patch. But I definitely hope it doesn't turn into a Platinum type thing where the Rotom Formes couldn't be used online. That sucked.

If they add Megas we'll be able to use them online no doubt, even if that means XY players won't see them. If they don't want to patch the new Mega models into XY they could simply make it so when a Pokemon with a new Mega goes Mega it does the little animation and then out comes the same model as the non Mega version and then next to their name they get the Mega symbol just like any other Mega. Simple, but functional solution.

Deoxys appears in one of the (9th? If my memory serves me well) Sevii Islands in FR/LG/E (well, Emerald doesn't feature Sevii Islands, but the event isles reappeared), but they were only accessible with event tickets. Don't remember where the distribution events took place though, my country never gets events and it was a long time ago.

Birth Island I think it was called. Accessible with the Aurora Ticket. I think there was only one or two events in each region for it and both were pretty limited.

The "Hunt for Deoxys" event was at Vue cinemas in the UK, I believe.

I really hope that all the RSE events come back as Wi-Fi events, I absolutely hate Gamestop/Toys R Us events. I live friggen 200 miles away from those stores.
 
Will they even have events outside Japan? I mean what else has has there been for X/Y aside from the torchic?

I am really excited for them though, but I can't decide which one to get so probably both? idk

Back in '03 I had 600 kilometres on terrible roads and a passport control </3

I don't really care about Navel (? the 8th one) Island, but going to Birth Island legit would be nice. Iirc there was even some puzzle there before Deoxys spawned.

We will see I guess, Gen VI is weak so far where events are concerned, but that may change. From what I remember Gen IV was weak in that respect at first too, but once Platinum was released in the west there were all sorts of item/Pokemon-distribution events.

Wasn't the whole room customization thing in GSC more to promote connectivity with the N64? Honestly, I think you were able to get through the entire game without really realizing that it was something you could do. Secret bases were way bigger in RSE. I mean, there was an entire marketplace where you could buy different junk for your place. Plus, it's such a prime opportunity for them to use Streetpass. It'd be dumb for them not to do it.

You could get items for your room in-game in GSC as well, however. Letting your mom save money would cause her to sometimes purchase a decorative item. You could also use Mystery Gift with another game and would sometimes get a decorative item.

It was without a doubt! But RSE has it's equivalent so I bet that will be taking up the bottom screen instead... However nothing is stopping them from adding Poketch-like features to it
