!With that, are the other Persona games good? I'm sure they are but are they as good as Persona 4 Golden? Been really enjoying that so far and considering it is a sequel to the past ones, they must be like P4G...right?
Considering all three of these cost about as much as I paid for P4G (15 bucks), I'm wondering if they are a good deal or not. Any advice would be nice

The other ones have no social links and you have to negotiate in order to get things for fusing. Much more old school RPG feel than the newer games.
Are they like the FF games (1-6) or Chrono Trigger then? Outside of (recently) Chrono Trigger, P4G, the M&L games, Paper Mario 1, Super Mario RPG and the KH Series, I really don't play much RPGs.
I don't know what SCEJA are expecting in terms of sales, but that horrible price combined with almost nonexistent marketing probably won't do SSD any favors. Hopefully Freedom Wars stays at the $30 price that many retailers have it as now.

Besides, I think that Sony figures that people getting Soul Sacrifice via PS+ (which they did last week and a few months back) justifies the game costing so much; many didn't play for SS full price (or any price a all), so now they 'have' to pay in full...

it makes perfect sense. The only reason we even have it in the west is for fans like us. They already put enough money toward the launch and their target audience, Japan. With minimal funds and effort they are appeasing the fans in the west and picking up whatever "extra" sales we're considered as icing on the cake, so to speak.
at least that's how I see it from their perspective
i am surprised there is no upgrade discount though... that's discouraging to so many potential sales.

Disappointing. I actually have $25 in my wallet right now. I thought I could buy it earlier. Spent my 5 on Odin Sphere instead.
Couple this with the fact that the game wasn't marketed at all, I don't think SSD will do well.
I'll buy it when it goes under $30.

They're not really bad games per se but when compared to Valkyrie Chronicles, they're gonna suck bigtime.

Fast is a relative term. Soul sac was fast. Tearaway was faster.

True, but Tearaway was particularly bad. I can't think of another game that had ever gone to 50% as quickly as that did both digitally and retail.
Where's Digimon?
Better battle system, superior FeMC, no cutscenes, and no Answer.
The Japanese version did, but XSEED confirmed in the other thread that there will be no online pass in the localized version.

No. You are a moving dot on a static portrait of the map. Only in the city though. In Tartarus you have a 3d body ala P4.

XSEED is doing a limited run of retail Senran Kagura. If you want one, you better get on it ASAP.
It's pretty much the definitive version of P3 IMO. It just lacks The Answer, which is the only 'bad' part about it.

It's pretty good but I would just buy the 2nd one.
That wasn't really the case. Last year I bought Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed 4 and Batman Arkham Origins all at 50% off (or more) on Black Friday, the first two hadn't been out for a month yet. Tearaway just sticks out to most people as a bomb because creamsugar leaked that it sold poorly at retail, but that's the norm for Vita games at retail anyway.
