He's kind of the only character in Smash Bros. that is 100% a villain, lol.Ganondorf is at least a full time villain.

Super Smash Bros. Melee introduced three bad guys: Bowser, Mewtwo, and Ganondorf. These three characters are even featured together in Event Match 51: The Showdown. King Dedede was also planned for Melee, but was cut in favor of six clone characters (including Ganondorf).
Wolf also was planned for Melee, and it was considered having Wolf be the Fox clone, but Sakurai thought they wouldn't be visually distinct enough, so he picked Falco instead.
Yeah wolf has put himself as a rival/antihero in recent games, he even teaches fox life lessons.
Wolf aint a villain tho (semantics yadayada)
with that said wasn't he also planned in 64?
I'd still call him a villain in The Wind Waker, lol.Well he technically isnt in windwaker, well he is, but not entirely, he just wanted to get hyrule back. But just didnt give a shit about anybody else while trying to.
Yeah, true. I excluded Wolf there because I wasn't sure whether Sakurai had actually planned for Wolf or just considered him as a possible Fox clone. Sakurai said that King Dedede was planned for Melee with a move set and everything, I believe, so it wasn't just a consideration there.Wolf also was planned for Melee, and it was considered having Wolf be the Fox clone, but Sakurai thought they wouldn't be visually distinct enough, so he picked Falco instead.
He would never get in over King K. Rool, though. King K. Rool is the primary antagonist of the Donkey Kong series. If any Donkey Kong villain gets in Smash Bros., it has to be King K. Rool.I rather get Lord Fredrik, the Snowmad King over King K. Rool.

Rool never looked so bad ass.
Wolf is actually Fox's dad.

Fredrik would be sweet. Side special would be those ice dragons he uses in the final part of the fight, final smash is freezing over the entire stage and then submerging it in lava.I rather get Lord Fredrik, the Snowmad King over King K. Rool.

For all the crap Other M gets, I'd be happy if this was alt if she were given one.

N-no.

Yes he was, Tyeforce mentioned that in his post, hence I didn't bring it up. And he specifically said "bad guy" instead of "villain" for those semantics. A lot of the bad guys we have in Smash aren't outright villains in several portrayals, that includes but is not limited to Wolf.

Um...yes he is? I mean, sure, he's been absent for two games, but that doesn't mean he's not the primary antagonist of the franchise as a whole. You wouldn't say that Ganon isn't the primary antagonist of The Legend of Zelda series because he's been absent for a few games (or at least he was before A Link Between Worlds), would you? And contrary to popular belief, there's no reason to believe that we've seen the last of King K. Rool in the Donkey Kong series. Retro just chose not to use him in the last two games. Doesn't mean he won't show up again sometime. Not anymore.

Bad guys.
Donkey Kong Barrel Blast and DK: Jungle Climber are only 7 years old, well within the last decade. This hasn't been true for over a decade.

Pic of the day. You can choose to play as the girl villager too!! How lovely.
Ewwww...
Little Mac's wireframe outfit isn't an alternate model, though. It's just a different texture, much like other outfits like Captain Falcon's Blood Falcon outfit. I wouldn't expect alternate models for characters other than Wario, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer. Now for the folks trying to keep people being realistic about alternate costumes/skins for characters. Yes the Wii Fits and Animal Crossers use alternate skins very logically considering their series. But why shouldn't we get excited for more of these after Little Mac of all people was given his own alternate? And while he wasn't really little Mac in every Punch Out, he is definitely no longer just a nameless avatar, even if you could call him that.
So far we've only seen costumes and alternates of new characters, I'm willing to bet almost everybody gets at least 1. I don't count the Mega Evoltuions if they can only be accessed with a Smash Ball.
The triangle noses bother me, do all Villagers in the game have it like that?

First post on GAF is here in SmashGAF lane because this is the only thread I've lurked for 4 months since I've found this place. So let's get everything out of the way.
Ridley will be in Smash4 asand we will accept him as our lord and savior.A boss character
Megaman is the best Newcomer. Because he is Blue.
Villager is the worst because he's going to stab me in my sleep.
Hi SmashGAF~!
Ewwww...
The thing is, though, there isn't really any other villain that takes his place as "primary villain." Tiki Tong was a one-off, and Lord Fredrik is as well for now. Yes, it's been a long time since King K. Rool has antagonized, but there haven't exactly been very many Donkey Kong games since then, either. And King K. Rool has only been absent from three Donkey Kong games. He appears in every other Donkey Kong game (excluding the arcade/Mario vs. Donkey Kong games, of course). Conversely, there have been far more Zelda games, and Ganon has missed out on more Zelda games than King K. Rool has missed out on Donkey Kong games. Not really. Not counting ports/remakes and the spin-offs, King K. Rool hasn't been the main antagonist since 1999, and that was the fourth game he appeared in. The last time he actually appeared at all was 2008 as an unlockable player for the Mario baseball game.
The fact that Retro has revived DKC, but not a single Kremling is to be seen in the 2 games they made, speaks quite for itself, as well. The DK series currently has no primary villain. K. Rool is a relic of the past, and the 2 new have yet to be recurring.
Ganon has significantly more games under his belt than K. Rool does, and consistently returns even if he isn't the villain in one of the installments.
Of course it doesn't mean he never will show up again. But as it stands, I would not consider him the primary antagonist of the DK series anymore. Regardless, the fate of the Kremlings is uncertain, and with the Snowmads being very similar in concept as the Kremlings, and Lord Fredrik even having the same body type as K. Rool, and borrowing several attacks from Rool, doesn't particularly speak in their favor.
That said, Kremlings do appear in Smash Run, so Sakurai remembers the past of the series, and I'm not talking about K. Rool's chance for Smash (if they were to include a DK baddie, it would be K. Rool, no doubt), but his status as "primary villain" for the DK series. That status, in my opinion, has been revoked until he returns to the series.

I still have a gut feeling Sakurai is just gonna give us Dixie and call it a day.
You say that as if it's a bad thing.

I can dream, though. Kremlings in Smash Run and all.
I'd rather never see K. Rool ever again.
brawl's barrel blast trophies
Unless Retro can actually make an antagonist that can replace K. Rool completely, I still wanna see him back one day. I like what Retro's doing but DK not having a recurring antagonist still doesn't sit right with me.
Funny how we were talking about villager alts earlier this week.
I understand, some people like him.
His design makes me want to puke, I hate it.
