Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

I meant to put "as a stage hazard" in spoilers. It sounds extra shady to Ridley fans, but expect the worst.
Please don't let this bring on GAF's 600th Ridley debate.
 
E3 plans?

1. Ask off for the 9th and the 10th (done).
2. Wait for e3.
3. Play Mario Kart some.
4. Keep waiting a little.
5. Wake up, watch E3 conferences.
6. F5 Gaf for the rest of the day, fruitlessly.
7. Go to bed.
8. Wake up, watch Nintendo's several E3 events.
9. F5 Gaf until I go to bed.
10. Wait 3-8 months, play Smash Bros.

  10. *PRAYING* for a livestream of the roundtable, if not, i'll probably check gonintendo's liveblog (he tends to be the most verbose, in past years)
  11. Doing the same for the 3DS roundtable
  12. Going to bed, as it'll be 11:30 pm EST by the time it's all done.

  1. Take my new jet out for a spin with the homies
  2. Go on a date with your mother with the homies
  3. Eat caviar in Las Vegas with the homies
  4. Play pool with chef Ramsay
  5. Go to Compton and smoke crack with the homies
  6. wake up from my dream and watch e3

7. Read thread of everyone bitching about how we basically got nothing for Smash.
8. Post message telling you all that you should have listened to me.
9. Resume crying.

I took vacations around e3 time (actually I took 14 days and it'll coincide with e3 but so what) so i'll be just hanging out on my place playing games and watching stuff on net..

I just went by the names selectable on the character select screen, hence there only being "Zelda" on the Melee poll and "Zelda/Sheik" on the Brawl one. So, Samus would count as ZSS as well.

Which reminds me of how glad I am they got rid of transformations. I never thought of it as a problem before, but I'm now super glad characters like Zelda will not be denied a down B.

My list is pretty straightforward

Wake up
go to E3
take quick walk around showfloor
stay at Nintendo booth and play Smash till they kick me out
get kicked out
repeat till E3 ends.
 
So, about the invitational tournament, has anyone contacted the pros in Japan? It would be just like Nintendo to invite Japanese pro players to a US event.

The easier question would be "How often does GAF stay up during E3?"

Serious Answer: Pretty much anytime a major press conference happens, including about 15-30 minutes after they're over, along with any time a megaton is dropped outside a conference.

Most of it was fine. The only kinda questionable parts were wolf (who I expect back) and I guess sometimes I thought I had better ideas than them? I wish they had covered more veterans though.

I can't decide if twitter E3 is the best or worst thing ever. On the one hand, not a true reveal, on the other hand, your imagination has to provide what twitter can't (especially if you don't click the links), and it's like being told 'hey did you hear' on the playground.

Only because Yoshi's redesign likely wasn't done. Everyone else was just Brawl model updated. Yoshi's model had to basically be redone.

They're pretty good at pointing out VISUAL DETAILS that most people might not catch. They're not great at pointing out gameplay mechanics for smash bros, unfortunately. I want a gamexplain done by pro smash players.
