League of Legends Championship Series: Season 4

Why was Trundle building Trinity Force for though?
Blade of the Ruined King, Triforce or Hydra are all valid options for Trundle depending on how the game he's going and what champions he's facing. For all the synergy he gets from BoRK, there's no point in rushing it if (realistically) he's not going to be hitting anyone for an extended period of time with how prone he is to being kited. You get Hydra instead for similar sustain but with faster splitpushing, and Triforce is a good alternative either way with how he can proc the passive regularly and how he utilizes all the stats from it.

Two consecutive games where CW has put themselves at a significant disadvantage thanks to terrible play before the minions meet (yesterday vs. SK, today vs. FNC). Somehow none of Unlimited, Airwaks or YoungBuck noticed Cyanide warding the bush they were in at level 1, leading to a cheap first blood and a 3-buff start for Cyanide, and this after cowTard and Woolite had already blown summoners after cowTard got needlessly caught. At least they know what to work on this week.

Wow that recent assault was just...bad. This Kayle needs to stop farming and participating more in team fights...

In news unrelated to the LCS, Saint's new Curse Academy team with Mancloud/Bunny/Cris/Impactful failed to qualify for an amateur tournament, going 1-4 in the group stage. Saint might have to rethink his whole "we'll just smash the challenger scene and take Complexity's spot" mentality.

On the one hand, I kinda feel bad for Cloud/Bunny/Impactful because they're good players and really probably could be LCS level. On the other, I'm glad some of the pros are getting their asses handed to them after all the smug "no talent in the amateur league" comments they've made.

Should have picked up Chaox :p

Thanks.

I made a post on Reddit after the undocumented Pantheon changes were accepted as fairly big nerfs to his ult (esp. against knowledgeable players) to the effect that there would only be five viable junglers during super week as a result (Elise, Lee, Eve, Kha, Vi). As it turns out I was wrong. I totted up the numbers from the first 16 games of the EU LCS, and found the jungler picks were as follows:

Lee Sin - Picked 15 times, never banned. (Won 5, lost 10)
Elise - Picked 5 times, banned 5 times. (Won 2, lost 3)
Eve - Picked 8 times, banned 4 times. (Won 7, lost 1)
Kha - Picked 3 times, never banned. (Won 2, lost 1)

Oh, and Airwaks took Yorick, never completed a jungle item, and lost.

One of the Kha'Zix picks came when Elise, Eve and Lee were all picked/banned, so arguably the perception is that three junglers are clearly better than everyone else on 4.7. I'm not complaining - I enjoy watching the "big three" played well - but such dominance by such a tiny number of champions seems notable.

that's competitive for ya, they'll grab what's fun of the game, rip its heart out and grind it out to the point riot has to nerf it for the rest of us

top lane has been torture to watch all year, bot lane is a lucian+thresh circlejerk and mid lane is every day getting worse with like soraka vs nidalee and now kayle.

i can't wait for s5, while i think riot had good intentions and many of the changes were warranted, i think s4 has been for me a lot less fun to play and watch than s3

i actually am starting to think lcs is bad for the meta cos it enforces it way too much. tho maybe it was like this in s2 as well, can't really remember

Looks like there's a reason he's not getting banned.

I do think Lee Sin will be more of a thing if any of the European mid laners learn to play Yasuo worth shit, but it's been long enough now that I don't see that happening. Yasuo will probably get nerfed due to his presence on the Korean scene before anyone in Europe figures out how to not lose horribly with him.

Yeah, he's a good pick early in the rotation if you aren't really sure what kind of team composition you're going to build. I suppose that has something to do with his poor winrate: he's probably being first-picked by a lot of teams that don't actually have a prepared strategy for a match and are just using him as a neutral pick so that they can counter whatever their opponents show.

Wow. What awesome games today.

c9 vs TSM should be good
Curse vs CLG should be good (if only to watch CLG stomp them)
LMQ vs EG meh. I'm just curious how LMQ do
coL vs Dig. I really want to see this. Newcomers vs the new roster.
CLG vs LMQ battle of the east in the west. Sweet

CLG vs. LMQ needs a b-story where Chaox reveals that he's been secretly playing with LMQ in China the whole time, training for the day he could get his revenge on Doublelift.

(Not really though, I like LMQ's carry a whole lot more than either of them.)

Haha, CLG pulls an early game lead but then, just when Doublelift think he has Chaox right where he wants him, the lights start flickering and the studio starts shaking. Chaox starts laughing maniacally as they're transported two years to the past, where Doublelift has to face Chaox in his final form - "Season 2 MVP."

Let's see how TSM new lineup will do.

Also curios about LMQ , now that they are on LCS limelight.

IN unrelated news does anyone here play the Fantasy League? Is it fun worth getting into?

Was thinking of checking it out, opinions from you guys are very much appreciated

i set it and forgot it
they don't have trading implemented so it's not as fun as it could be, but it has changed how I watch LCS (I watch some Alliance games now)

i like tsm's team better but c9 prolly gonna win

dis meta tho

#gleebstillgoingthroughpubertygivehimsomespace

o shit hai got racing stripes shaved onto his head he's unstoppable

+20% Move Speed

That was a pretty 'meh' game. Gleeb looked extremely shaky; basically zero good hooks and only one good lantern the entire game. C9 doing their best European impersonation by fucking around at Baron for 20 minutes when they have a huge lead and an inhibitor already down. No real fun picks or bans.

I would have opened the season with the LMQ game, but I guess saving it for the closer has benefits, too. Hopefully it isn't as disappointing.
