FE5 had a different main lord, even if he was a character in FE4 too, and mostly different cast, and a completely different game structure from FE4 - having no marriage/2nd gen system of its own and moving away from FE4's giant maps with multiple castles. None of the sequel games starting from the GBA have ever been such big departures from their predecessors. FE7 just built upon what FE6 did, and the same goes to FE9 and 10 and the two remakes. I really don't see them just throwing away almost everything Awakening did just to keep the cast, especially after its sales in NA and Japan.

To be fair, I'm such a minimalist shithead that I'd rather Falco be cut too. Now that alt-skins are a thing, might as well make him a Fox alt rather than trying to justify paper-thin changes to their movesets every game.

Wait who was saying the final roster for smash 4 was decided before Awakening became popular? The game came out one month after Uprising and IIRC Sakurai mentioned they didn't start planning Smash 4 until that summer when Awakening had been out for a few months and had already sold crazy amounts in Japan and become incredibly popular. Unless Sakurai had already decided the final smash 4 roster before or less then a month after Uprising came out Chrom or another awakening character still has a good chance. Hell Greninja was picked and who knows how very early in development X/Y were in 2012.

Starfox was barely relevant during Brawl and got 3 reps. If Starfox gets three again when it's considered irrelevant and dead, then Fire Emblem certainly can get three.

Uhhh you might want to check out the other thread where people are sayinf gg to Chrom/Lucina/Avatar because of this. I agree with you but a lot of people are still bound by this mindset that FE will only have 2 slots or that it won't have 3 blue haired swordsman

I'm not completely ruling out Squirtle and Ivysaur either. Very improbable, but you never know.
I don't think Squirtle, Ivysaur, or Snake will return.
Being able to use Brawl as a starting point for Smash 4 makes that a pretty safe guess.
I wouldn't be surprised if Squirtle and Ivysaur show up as well, even if they're not playable.

Didn't see anybody respond so I will. I saw this immediately but was more drawn to Ike because I was trying to examine bits appearance. As I'm not used to hos Radiant Dawn look. xD Was watching a video with Varia Suit Samus in it and she was all over the place. Dare I hope she's more agile?
I know it's supposed to be drawing your eye to Ike, but Samus sprinting in this looks badass. Like she's got places to be, asses to kick, planets to asplode.

I saw your roster page and I don't agree with most of the characters you added. You need more variety in there.
Those people need to pay attention to the presence of the Arena Ferox stage then which was the battleground between Chrom and Lucina. No way a stage like that gets put in without either of them appearing.

Ike was high on my list of "Who is likely to get cut" but that puts me in a weird "My main Lucas has a high chance of getting axed" situation while also thinking "Sakurai is going to bring back everyone including Pichu."
