So why not invent a completely new moveset for her? Why bother honestly? I don't even know how you can diminish her role in the plot.
You can say Chrom isn't important to the game and only Robin was in that case.

Luigi's moveset is very similar to Mario's. But they manage to differentiate the two. The same can be done to Lucina. Even if she is said to have an identical style to Chrom in game story, this doesn't mean its not impossible to tweak her moveset so that it is in her own unique style. And if Ike can be tweaked and still be true to his character, then so can Lucina.
And why does it only have to stick to what is said in story and not in game? She has a number of skills that Chrom can't get. In the beginning of the game, yeah, she has similar moves to Chrom. Why can't Sakurai pull from end game Lucina where she will have a wealth of new moves she could've learned in the course of the story? That is still technically true to her character because its the same Lucina who just learned more from her time in the present.

Sakurai wouldn't let that be a limitation. He will take liberties when needed. After all, I don't remember being able to ride a rocket-powered Gyroid with my Villager in the Animal Crossing games.

Oh wait, all of those characters received new and tweaked abilities to help them adapt to Smash Bros.

Also Shulk and Pacman being ridiculous? There's a very credible leak with both of them in. No offence but half of what you said is beyond improbable. If anything my roster is a little too bold, I put in some characters that don't have that great of a chance.

Well then I was looking at an old image or something for I didn't see them. Still most of these selection from those leaks are barely believable. Especially with regarding how Lord Sakurai likes to do things. We'll see at E3.

I'm going to be stuck on the character select screen forever now, completely incapable of choosing between Mega Man, Mac, Dedede, Ike, and Captain Falcon.

If Palutena does join then all hope is lost for me on ever starting a game.

Cool, seems like a reasonable release, but it's probably still a guess. July is the 'stereotypical' summer month. I'm anticipating September 20th (last official day of summer in the US), so that if anything earlier is announced, i'll be happy :p

I do find it weird that sakurai settled on making issac at AT, making a moveset should be relatively easy, he must have been a character that didnt make it in due to crunch time so sakurai settled for AT

I also want to point out that Chrom has a White cape, Marth has a blue cape, and Ike has a red cape, obviously this can be changed with alt colors but by default when they have their backs to the player (none of them would be mirrored) they'd have a unique color/design on their capes.

I honestly think the reason is simply that Golden Sun is a C tier Nintendo series. Same reason Starfy isn't playable.

It's probably because it's not a particularly well-selling or -reviewing series. The first two Golden Suns are minor cult classics.

Isaac has a chance, but it's not a strong one, in my opinion.

It's early and I'm doing multiple things on a mobile device that won't load this properly guess that was my first problem. I'm just tired of seeing all these rumors getting thrown around and people instantly believing them. I see no creditable however but some shady photos and asupposed thread going up before that Smash Direct fire Greninja abs Charizard. And what's wrong with being crazy? = w =

Wii Fit Trainer from Nintendo's most successful Era in modern times and maybe perhaps forever? If time was taken to truly discuss her her probability would've been higher.

No, this is the kind of stuff that makes you sound crazy. Not the missing K. Rool stuff. If you have no idea what people are talking about, look into it before dismissing it. The problem with being crazy is that people won't take anything you say seriously and will probably just ignore you. If that's okay with you, feel free to keep it up ^_^
 
When Ike was announced playable on Brawl I was like "oh, that Fire Emblem guy from that game I bought and never played." Now I'm like "YES!!!! Ike is back!!! In your face naysayers!"
