Has Benzema touched the ball? Him, Ronaldo and Khedira don't look like they are fit enough to be out there.

I am definitely missing Pepe now. That guy can be idiot sometimes but still does pretty good job at defending.

Real may have the possession but the only time they've had a look is on set pieces. Atletico is doing a great job of bringing pressure to the back 4 and making Real Madrid work for a goal scoring look.

Casillas loses final for Real.

This is how Real Madrid Ronaldo plays. He's a goal scorer. He's not much of a creator anymore.

On top of not being fit. Atletico doesn't give Real any chance to launch Ronaldo. They are just playing it very solid, very determined. Not a beautiful match, but I admire their work rate.

If Atleti win this, is it too early to say that this season is one of the best, if not THE best, achievement in the modern game? Simply unreal.

An eighth of the budget of Real and Barca. Huge debt. A wage bill lower than QPR's. The whole squad built for €80m.

It's absolutely extraordinary.

Having a wage bill lower than QPR is not that much of achievement. Dortmund have a lower wage bill. In terms of achievement, I would still rate Greece in Euro 2004 as higher. At least Atletico have some talented players.

Real is too nervous and now frustrated, Atletico is playing this like its not even a final of the CL, like its a normal La Liga game.

One would think it would be the opposite, that the new kids would be too scared, yet fucks are not given, going full balls out

That miss by Bale...listen...

listen..

You dont get to miss that in a CL final, you just do not. Maybe on a shitty night against fucking Real Sociedad in september, but not the finals.

It would be.

However I think they will crumble in the second half.

It's a real shame that the squad will get killed in the transfer market.

Bradford City to the League Cup final. Come on now

It's up there, but Fortune is bang on, Gotta be Greece innit

That's international though.

While Greece's achievement was incredible, it's not like the other national teams spent £500m.

APOEL Nicosia a couple years ago?
Porto?
Greece?

The real answer is DC United winning the 2013 US Open Cup with the worst team in MLS history.

I think Dortmund's achievement is certainly up there, and they would have immortalised that winning the CL final. But Bayern then weren't as strong as Barca and Madrid are now.

Greece as well, that was incredible... but over a month and 6/7 games. Not the 38 in the league and the 13 in the CL Atleti have played.

Yeah but Real has this bottling going on for 12 years now and all that Decima shit too. Atletico basically has nothing to lose, they are the new guys. They play like that too which doesn't really surprise me, its just a very tough nut to crack. They've won almost all of their important matches this season.

It doesn't matter even if they lose this game, they have already provided their excellence. Puts giants like barca, Man U, Chelsea to shame.

Would make what Simeone has done in 2 years the single greatest achievement a Football manager has accomplished... ever.

APOEL's CL progress was brilliant, but I wouldn't know the comparative strength of the Cypriot league. Same with Porto. Them winning the league that year wasn't anywhere near as much a surprise as their CL win or Atleti's league win.

Not trying to discredit these at all, just generating discourse innit. DC United tho

the GOATS

This current Barca are shadow of what they used to be. I would say that Bayern were better than this year's Barca. Real Madrid are currently better than that Bayern though.
