I too can relate to him.. somewhat (I sure as heck wasn't some spoilt rich kid, the complete opposite), mainly because I too had a period of being alone and frustrated at lack of gf and such. I was a virgin till about his age myself.. But I didn't blame all my problems on women. I didn't feel like I was entitled to them.
I did feel the pressure to have one because that's what society expects of men. To have sex as early as possible. Thankfully at the time I wasn't on a forum feeding me the belief that all men had some sort of right over women.
Of course they are. MRAs are a hate group. Their ideas are poison to people like the murderer.
And sod all is being done in relations to the safety of women. A lot of the anger from women come from the fact that they deal with men that share his attitude on a constant basis, and no one gives a shit. I mean he killed 6 women and injured 7. Seriously? That's a hate crime if I ever saw one. If he was an arab dude, and killed white people because he hates america, he'd be labelled a terrorist, and no one would give a shit why he did it.

It's important to note that this woman was his stepmom. In any case, the show was more about his mother's life and her catfights with her 4 so-called friends than about him. I don't even remember him being in it at all. The show ran for 5 weeks and got cancelled after one season.

i normally hate intruding on a tragedy as the picture unfolds it but i couldn't help myself from looking through some of this stuff and now i feel incredibly sad. i don't share his worldview but as someone who has struggled with mental illness, loneliness and feelings of inferiority and ennui relative to a prosperous upbringing and the culture in general, i could envisage myself falling into a similarly dark place without a gargantuan leap. when you get trapped inside your own head and only listen to the worst parts of your mind and let that intepret everything that happens in the world it's real trouble, and i've certainly felt some of that, though i'm thankful that in my case it's never been reflected in violence towards others and that i've been able to get help that has worked to an extent.
that might sound like a nutty thing to post in the wake of six other people dead for no good reason, which is also incredibly sad, as well as drawing conclusions from something this extreme and shocking, but as i can't do anything now i think it's valuable to reflect on how you get to this position and what you can do to avoid it and help others around you.

There is a lot to be learned from this, and we should stop pointing fingers at one organization, or just the parents or this or that... Call me old fashioned but I think these days there's just too many distractions from media, social networks, too much superficiality and too much false expectations fed in a teenagers' minds about what is reality vs. pop culture... This kid was delusional and has been delusional throughout his growing (teenage) years, he obviously lacked the proper parenting, on top of that was surrounded by Hollywood, fake culture...

I'm watching his vids and he seems like he wanted women to come to HIM. Never talks about being shot down so far as I have seen ... just never being given a "chance". That's likely why he didn't get one ... I mean, we all know dudes with worse views about women and far creepier appearance can find a woman to abuse or be with (in what's likely gonna be a disruptive relationship but yeah)

That was a super long read but what ended up being the issue with the boy? Was he disposed to that sort of behavior since he was little because that's how his brain was wired up or was it due to upbringing?
This really begs the question if some people are more disposed to think and react in certain ways because of how they are built chemically and at the cell level. As in there's only so much they can do without medication, and even then I'm sure most people who are "normal" wouldn't want to get medicine for something they don't feel is a problem but more of a subduing of their personality.
I hope this makes sense.

NRA is often the scapegoat when horrible shootings happen. Nothing new or shocking.
I mean, the shooter is dead. Who else can he blame? This is a VERY fresh wound for him. Of course he's going to lash out. I don't blame him. He's grieving.
That doesn't mean I agree with him. I don't. But he's upset. He's raw.
You don't start exhibiting super early signs of personality disorders due to upbringing without some sort of massive trauma. We're not these purely rational sentient entities that people like to think we are.
Sometimes there is no other answer than "we need to protect the rest of us from this individual."
