Finally it's in my city. But im gonna be returning from a + 20hr journey on the 14th...standing in line after that sounds kinda awful...but I...must...play gahhh.

Last time they had a Best Buy locator for their event (was it last E3?), the locations were subject to change up until pretty damn close to the event. I think stores are constantly opting in/out of these things. My friend checked the site several times up until the date and it was like a rollercoaster trying to figure out where the event would be.

This would be so dangerous of them considering they have to ship so much stuff to each store. Including Ninjas.

I want dat coin, missed out on the Luigi coin last time and I think it still goes for a lot of money, don't wanna pay that :(

wonder how many people will try to play 1 vs 1 , or try to turn off items

fuck that, all items on B^)

only 4 places for MA 0_o weird, they usually have Cambridge or framingham , I'm near watertown / dedham so I'll be there :D

Big bucks no whammies no whammies....

Holy shit! They are actually doing it in town this year!

Sucks for people in Orlando... especially since you'll likely head to my location (Lakeland). Last year they didn't have it anywhere near here so this is great news for me at least.

Woohoo it's not 1 hour away this time around! And I have saturday off, so i'm looking to be there all day >:D

Why go all the way to South Tampa? Lakeland would be a lot closer... (we're that middleish sized city that's right in between Tampa and Orlando :p)

I might be down there near Clearwater anyway depending on my schedule. But more likely I would have to go to one closer to Orlando.

That would be weird. I they had the 4 E3 demos there last year. As well as a live broadcast of the Direct.

Yeah, I'm guessing they will do the live broadcast again, though I don't know if its considered one of their official events.

I really hope that there is more than one demo unit this time around. That was the only real issue I had with the event last year, there were too many people for just one unit to accommodate. Even having just two units should be enough.

Gonna try to get there early regardless, the lines are gonna be crazy I reckon.

Four players per match? Seems like this time everyone will be able to play the demo at least once. I'm hoping it leaves enough room for a second match as well

I was thinking to keep lines moving fast they were going to avoid 1 player games and go with 2 player games instead but 4 player, great.

This gets em thinking though? Couldn't a 3DS demo be done via download play (so no line) or are leaks too risky?

Wow that's great.l! This year my state's location is the one close to me and a step from my University.

Do people think coming at 3:30 will get me a gold coin? I doubt over 60 others will have preordered before then. Here's hoping.

I just checked the location listings and it looks like there is one in NYC this year. I will be at the Long Island City location on June 11th for sure. Awesome. The one downside is that this is the only location serving the entire NYC Nintendo fan community.

I won't be able to get there until ~4:30, which means I will likely arrive to an insuperable crowd. Oh well. I'll come hoping to play (or at least see) Smash, but I will settle for getting an infinite number of street passes and a large reservoir of players for local 3DS multiplayer. I'll look forward to playing Kid Icarus Uprising's local multiplayer for the first time.

Damn, not at the Boston location.

surprised the one near Fenway isn't doing this, way more people there, or if that one near Copley didn't go RIP

closet is Watertown if you live in Boston

I wonder if you pre order in the morning of the event you get the coin, wouldn't be surprised cause some employees wouldn't care and just give it, I want a coin :D

Why is it always the Long Island City Best Buy that gets it in NYC? I'd figure the Union Square location would make the most sense to hold the event but I guess Nintendo thinks otherwise. Regardless, I'll be making the trip to get my hands on it.
Crowd control issues I assume? You can only enter the store via stairs and there isn't much room on the sidewalk in front of the store, especially not when you factor in that the event is going to be running through rush hour. The situation would be completely uncontrollable.

Really surprised Austin is out. We had a couple locations for the E3 event last year...oh, well. Just get that 3DS version out sooner rather than later!

I'm assuming people who camp out for this are living in really populated areas? I'm pretty sure I'm safe in MO. Hell the Black Friday near me was a joke. Since this is a Nintendo and Wii U thing I'm guessing not many people will be showing up anyway, seems like an only diehard thing, parents will probably not give enough of a shit to chauffeur their kids since its not a holiday gift. Arriving an hour early might be good enough really.

I'm thinking on saturday it's going to be packed as hell, i'm planning on heading over at least 1-2 hours before the store even opens (and even before the event starts). Last year when I went to the austin event, it was already filled up and the sign in process they had was straight up stupid as hell. Was a waste of a trip.

Man, they have some backwards ass ways of picking where to hold these. None of the locations in Maryland that are going to have the demo are East of Baltimore. They even have two locations that are 20 minutes from each other.

What a really weird selection of cities. I decided to check out some states that I was somewhat familiar with geographically and it seems like they actually went out of their way to stay away from the centers of big cities. In NY they don't have NYC or Westchester, but they have Nyack. In Florida they don't have Orlando, but have Lakeland. In Georgia the Buckhead and Mall of Georgia locations are 30 minutes from one another. Connecticut has one location, but Nevada has none. All very weird...
