Hey guys. Whenever I upload a PNG avatar with no background, it uploads onto here with a white one. Is there something that I'm missing here? I removed the background in photoshop and exported it out in PNG form so there's no background but when I upload it here as my avatar, it appears with a white background automatically.

You need to resize the image to 100x120 pixels max. If it's bigger it resizes automatically and removes the transparency.

Make sure your avatar is within Gafs avatar size limits, ie 100 pix width x 120 height max.

Otherwise when you upload your avatar it will be resized and the white background will appear.

Mind letting us know which site you want to use it for? I couldn't fit in most of the image using GAF's limits.
